The manger that wears glasses works at this dollar general is very rude and mean towards customers I have never been more embarrassed by someone in my life. I was short 35 cents and she was very unprofessional saying nasty comments bout me to other people in store had attitude about everything. Hope she gets fired or something hope she doesn't get chance treat anyone else like this way she was towards me and my children she cross line

The store smelled like pot but I think it was two customers that walked into the store, this did not affect the rating. The price of an item was different on the shelf and higher at the register, the cashier did make the adjustment. As expected all the Christmas wrapping paper and bags were sold out, but one can always hope... The cashier was very pleasant.

My local Dollar General has to have the best employees ever! The store on Palestine near the hospital in Athens Texas is always clean, well stocked plus has friendly service! The employees always put a smile on my face before I leave 🙂

A few rude employees, but the rest are ok. All of em are more worried about getting the doors closed at 10 than actually serving the customers. Good selection for dollar general but seasonal stuff sells out fast and isn't restocked.

Like the new one by hospital. That one has more different products that I like and it seems over all that it's a better store say you seem to keep it a lot cleaner than this one here. Girl cases this one but they don't fall all over themselves trying to make you feel comfortable but they do help

It's convenient to grab the things you need, but sometimes I have experienced rude or unfriendly employees. They aren't well informed about coupon requirements. You have sale prices, then you can get digital coupons from their Dollar General app which can save you a considerable amount of money, but if you're new to program and slow applying them, the cashier may be rude.

I pulled in to get 1 item and there was multiple cars waiting to go in around 945 pm on June 9 2022 and they had the doors locked and would let noone go in. What a great way to lose customers

This store has improved so much in the last few months! It is clean unlike how it was. The employee that took care of me was very nice. I think his name is Jordan. Very nice experience!

They hgv ave a much larger and variety than they used to. And their colas beer were on sale both times I went. And I was able to use my $5.00 Coupon from last week.

Very nice and clean... I don't know about other than breakfast... Menu is almost like the Pit Grill... Great waitress very friendly and checked on several times...

I dont like how they followed customers in the store. They act like theyre rushing you in the store. They never smile. Theres an older lady that constantly mean muggs everybody. Im not going back there until they get better workers. People that auctually care about the store.

The place is nice for snacks, and groceries, and general metrical stuff, the only complaint I have is the fact you need to ask for the key to use the bathroom, it's not too much of a bother it's just an inconvenience.

StoreManager looks over worked, stressed out and seems to not really like her job.. Timm was very short tempered & hot headed. She was not well mannered with her choice use of words while conversing with customers who seamed they could be friends outside of work.

I can get many of the name brand household items I need here without fighting the big box store crowd. There is even a fairly good cold food/freezer section.

My dad fell a month ago and we had to stop into this store he had a hard time getting around and the worker Bo Wells that was working that day was amazing he helped me out so much I was able to get everything that my dad was needing thank you so much

New store on South 19 brings school supplies and things you can get closer than Walmart if you live South of TVCC. Nice workers and clean.

I dont have a lot of patience....and this storw is always crazy busy....they seem to be a lil short staffed....the employees are great there but the line is very long and only one person working the register....i usually end up putting my merchandise back and leaving....

I enjoy the variety of dog food sizes and prices. The Dollar General in Athens is larger then others and shopping is more pleasurable.

Failed to honor a posted sale on laundry soap..even after mentioning it twice. Just ignored it. Could have gotten it cheaper at Walgreens
