Expect to be talked down to and jerked around. :/ I have put up with it for some time because of the convenience of a drive thru and the late hours but recently I have really considered changing pharmacies. Just don't expect prompt service or assistance from anyone. I've been without my medicine for nearly a month despite my doctor constantly calling CVS to try and help sort the issues we've run into. I genuinely hope others have better luck because this has been a nightmare.

I came to check out at the pharmacy (no one was behind me) and she told me to go to the front. I said I would rather not because of the type of medication I was purchasing. But I held it up, explained to her face why and walked off only to wait in a line in the front with the medication I would have rather kept private. Amy if someone has medication and there isn’t a line let them just check out. It’s medication and you work in the pharmacy. Do better, Amy.

My daughter and I picked up a prescription on 3/16/24 around 12:34.The technician named Blake was very patient and helpful. Then the cashier Amber was very helpful informative and kind.

Update08/25/2020 got a text that my prescription was going to be filled. I guess someone one found it and took care of it even though the staff on the 24th said it didn't come in. I wasn't going to go back but I did.Different people were working. Ana was professional and helpful. The staff of the 25th managed a huge line and helped everyone. I originally left a 1 star review but I'm changing it to a 3. I'm still mad about the day before.08/24/2023 I tried to fill a antibiotic script for my toddler. My regular pharmacy was out of stock so i was trying to get my child relief asap. I tried to do this at CVS but CVS just didn't want to deal with it. First, I called CVS. It took a very long time for them to answer the phone 10/15 minutes.Not a huge deal at first. I explained i needed to transfer a prescription and the person snapped at me for not knowing the name of the medication. The doctor had just prescribed it and i didnt have paperwork to refer to. She would have the correct information if they had contacted the other pharmacy like they were supposed to.She kept telling me walmart wasn't answering their phone and cvs phones don't work with walmart. The pharmacist at CVS was complaining he wouldn't get out by 10pm, it was only 7. It was obvious they just didnt want to deal with it. Cvs in athens is unprofessional slow and dont care if your sick. After playing incompetent for 45 minutes, she said, "oh well guess you will have to fill it here tomorrow." I'm so angry on behalf of my sick child. They could have helped us but went out of their way to avoid doing so.Been going to Walmart pharmacy for 3 years and have never experienced anything like this. I called Walmart 3 times for cvs and they picked up the phone in less than two minutes each time, they spoke to me Respectfully, and tried to help me

If i could give 0 stars i would, this pharmacy is extremely unprofessional. I wait for 30 minutes in the line with only 1 car in front of me and when i got to the window the dark headed man with glasses was very rude, asking inappropriate questions that was none of his business since he is not my Dr. Also the older gentleman that works there is always rude, i cannot believe they still have business. I may have to contact the owner of this location

It's a CVS, which is fine for convenience, but I'm rating it one star because on my way out, there were a couple of employees vaping by the front door. The fact that a child could walk out and inhale that harmful second-hand smoke is absolutely unconscionable. I understand employees need breaks, but there should be a designated section away from customers if they're going to vape.

I had switched over from Walgreens to CVS last year - I think it was mid year or so; we are certainly glad we did. Even though they are stressed with the busyness of work, you really couldn’t tell it!The employees treat you with respect & kindness. I am not sure of the sweet older lady’s name that calls to remind us of our meds still not being picked up but she is so sweet. You can hear how much she cares in her voice. You need to give her a raise! 😊

Well I see a lot of T-bones and Karen's in these reviews. But I have been here every time I am visiting my social media friends in the area. I easily have had them fill my prescriptions, while I am visiting the beautiful town of Athens. I always get, and find what I need. If I don't. The employees and management Always point me in the right direction or help me find exactly what I need. I was just in there a few days ago while traveling and to be honest. There were some new faces, I really felt this store has great energy from the staff, and good vibes. I would give this store a higher review. My experience just sharing.. Not like some of the other reviewees I've seen here, That clearly give the same reviews to other local businesses. To me that tells me you could serve them a covid shot on the rock, with a perfect egg Muffin, hold the grease, with a smile on the face in the drive thru or waiting to be checked out. sometimes the customer is always rightfully, …wrong. or just wanting to make everything, and everyone feel as unhappy as they're. it's okay to not to be okay...just not okay to stay that way. CVS staff and crew stay awesomeness.

Look everyone here is totally great or whatever and it’s a CVS, so, great. I’ve gotten a vaccine booster here and get my meds filled regularly without any issue.But i wish this store would be more vigilant about updating their outward phone line regarding their stock of at home covid tests. I very well might be positive and would not have risked going in to buy them if the outward message were accurate about their lack of at tests.

I called the Athens store and asked to speak with a manager on duty to question some privacy safeguards I had associated with the handling of my COVID-19 vaccine appointment. (I had reported my concern to the pharmacist on duty the day before when I received my vaccine. She seemed disinterested in my complaint so I decided to speak to a manager.) The lady who answered the phone stated that she was one of the managers. I explained to her my issue and was in the process of asking a question when she hung up on me. Extremely poor quality customer service.

The staff is always helpful and friendly when I'm looking for something or dropping off a package. I had to self administer a covid test in the drive-thru last year. They walked me through every step and everything went well. Just got my first prescription filled there yesterday and had no issues with that. It seems like an all around good store.

Apart from waiting to be served, it's a good pharmacy. Nice pharmacists. An appointment for a vaccination is often 15 or more minutes late.

Got my booster here late December. Lady giving it too me dropped it then quickly wiled and injected me. I developed cellulitis then pneumonia. I sent a message and no response. I will not be back.

This pharmacy needs help, either more employees or a second pharmacist. Sit in line for 30 minutes for a Rx that was sent over 30 minutes before getting here and it's still not ready. Not the first time this has happened.

This pharmacy used to be my go to for years and years for me and my son, I am going to be changing, after being hung up on numerous times and not getting any indications of when my meds were ready and, not having my script ready it is the last straw, two weeks later and still I can't get my scripts and the doc says she called it in so at CVS is where it lays, unreal and, not professional at all. Done there.

Cistomer service doesn't exist! I have been using this store for 10 urs or longer & NO ONE even knows my name anymore. Then, ANY time there is a problem with my rx, theu don't call me to inform me, I am only told whem I call or come by to pick up my rx. Lastly, there was a bp monotor on shelf with price tag of $53.99 & it rang up $80.99; I told the cashier & she told me that someone must have put it in the wtong shelf. I told her by law, she had to give it to me for that price & she told me that the most she could do was lower it by $3. I again told her by law shd was supposed to give it to me for the price that was advertised, and she told me each store has their own policy....First time I have EVER heard this!! Needless to say, now my head is throbbing AGAIN!!!

I’ve been wondering what is wrong inside this pharmacy?? Today I needed to speak to the pharmacy, I rarely ever call, the pharmacy and 4 times someone picked up my call & hung it up without saying a word. One time is an accident, 4 times is on purpose!
