So first I want to say I deleted a highly rated review about an employee named Payton who went above and beyond for me one day just so that I can say what I have to say now.I give petco AND ALL PETCOS a one star (ZERO IF I COULD) because they engage in the horrible malpractice of ferret breeding (Marshall’s to be exact). I went in there today to pick up some stuff for my dogs and ferrets, and out of curiosity I asked if the two ferrets I saw in the uncomfortably miniscule enclosure stay in there permanently.. and unfortunately I was told yes.First of all, Marshall’s is a very SUS company (they breed animals for animal testing) and to sell ferrets from them (and their products) when there are so many in rescues (which petco could easily partner with) also makes petco very SUS. Second, both of these companies profit in the millions, and it does not make sense for them to not provide these unadopted babies with larger enclosures, or even allow them to at least have a large play time window with guests.I am beyond horrified at what I saw today. The albino and dark brown ferret babies in that small enclosure deserve better. I will not rest until there is justice.

This location doesn’t know how to groom your pet. Look at before and after. In the picture. There is an African American groomer that has no skill whatsoever and look at what she did to my dog. If you want to get your dog look like skeleton, take your dog to this location. You judge yourself. I will go ahead and dispute the charge for this ridiculous service.

I ask for help in the cashier section, three workers were talking they ask me to wait, I waited for 20 minutes but nobody show up. On my way out I saw them in the same place talking. Won't be going back

Lauren was so helpful and personally helped me pick out the items I needed for my fur baby! I didn’t realize I didn’t have the vital care premium, I only had the vital care core which is a step lower so she helped me understand the benefits I was missing! I went ahead and moved up to the next level in the membership! She helped me bring the cat tree to the car while I carried the rest of my stuff. She was so kind and is the definition of quality customer service! I will be back!

I enjoy the store, actually GOING IN. I would shop there more, but kinda pricey and you can only use coupons for curbside or delivery. Browsing isn't the same online as in person.

Quick & easy in and out - found the item I was shopping for and it was exactly as described on the website. The price was fair and matched what I had seen for a comparable item on Amazon so I was very pleased with that!

Update: found a job! But, went here 2nd for an interview. Was discriminated against. At a pet supply store. That pays minimum wage. Interviewer kept checking the time, making sour faces, rolling his eyes. Chino/Gino whatever his name is even tried to discourage me by stating and I quote, " you wouldn't want to work here, you'd have to deal with insects and rodents". Very sad. I bet the next white person that walked through the door got hired on the spot.

My original review is below, that was before the fish in these pictures were dead. These fish were alive 2 days ago when I visited and now they're dead. Good service but dead fish and I cannot accept that. The blue one and the little brown one are pictured dead and alive.Original : Hit or miss on customer service. Today was really good. My first time here the gal helping me was very 'meh'. Today at least employees were willing to speak to me. Fish selection is ok- most of the bettas look good, but some (pictured) are ill. Plants don't look good either.

I ordered a cat carrier on line for in store pickup. Even through I came early to pick up my order, and the clerk, Seth, was very helpful! He immediately looked up the order and invited me to accompany him as he picked up the item to make sure it was what I needed. He even kindly offered to carry it out to my car! Kudos for hiring great staff!!

We needed to go for dog food and we got some fish in the process. The gentleman in the fish department was knowledgeable and nice. As we walked in the door we were greeted by one of the employees who asked us if we needed anything or needed where to go. Every employee that saw our two dogs stopped and loved on them. And we left happy.

Me and my husband stopped in and got a bicolored angel fish for our saltwater tank. While he was getting our fish I found other cute items for our kitty and our doggies love this store!

Jordan was the cashier that helped me. She screamed at my 3 year old about a small deflated balloon. She said that my daughter was about to pop a balloon the size if an orange, however how did she know my daughter was about to pop it. She greeted everyone that came into the store but me. When we were leaving she was still making a big fuss about this small balloon and asked could she have it back. I asked her what the big deal was about the balloon and she couldn't say anything. Besides the balloon situation her customer service was extremely poor. I asked for her name and she refused to give to me saying "it's just a balloon". She's not very educated because clearly the name is listed on the receipt and all I did was get her name from another employee. I still grabbed the balloon off the table just because it really was not a big deal. She definitely needs to be trained or put somewhere else.

I went at 9am to make the grooming of my dog and this lady told me that they will contact me when it’s done. At 12pm it calls me this lady call Robin and tells me come and get your dog cause he is in a bad attitude, so I went to pick my pet and the dog was grooming from the body and the face was without grooming his nails all long it was horrible. So I ask to the lady in the front to get the corporate number and she got mad and she told me I’m going to write how bad is your dog in the computer. So this is why I’m calling corporate if my pet was in a bad attitude why they cut his hair from some parts and in others not incomplete and incompetent people.

Had the best experience here today! My vet is closed on Thursdays, so of course today’s the day my chiweenie got sick. I went to Petco looking for a remedy and some special food to hopefully nurse him back to health. Thankfully Niki approached me and asked if I needed help. Not only did she, and her sweet co-worker, help me find everything I needed, she also gave me a great tip to help my baby too. I felt like she saved me money! And because of that, I also let her help me choose a new harness for my dachshund. Including helping me with a tape measure and all. (I was sort of high maintenance today!)Great service! Plus I love seeing young people so friendly, helpful, articulate and well versed in their jobs

poor customer service, theft! If you make an exchange at this business make sure you get a full refund of your money and repurchase the replacement item because if that item ends up also being a bad item they won't give you your money back. They will give you store credit! Citing system set up.

I’m writing in response to Kelsee W from about a week ago. I wasn’t present during the first part of what she’s talking about. Although she makes it sound like this happened all at the same time, that’s not true. I know this because I was walking into the store and witnessed her parking illegally in a handicap parking spot and then saw her run into the store and grab a balloon that was clearly part of a merchandising display and then run back out. So what I’m wondering is why the heck her kid had it to begin with?!? Maybe instead of blaming the whole situation on the employee who the was just trying to do her job she should be wondering why her parenting skills are lacking to the point that her child feels entitled enough to be able to take things that are part of a retail display. I’m a long time customer of this store, and each and every employee I’ve ever dealt with has been super helpful. Oh, and while I’m at it, Kelsee, how dare you make assumptions about anybody’s education when your grammar is lacking? Do you know the difference between a statement and a question? If you did, you would’ve put a question mark instead of a period at the end of “ how did she know my daughter…” I know this is a bit of a rant, but people like this with entitled attitudes just piss me off.

Worse place to take you dog for a grooming!! Absolutely zero professional people there, went to take my dog for a grooming and apparently they couldn’t groom his face, then why you have a grooming place if you don’t know how to do it! Their costumer services is trash. Now I have my dog looking all ugly bc of these unprofessional people.

The store was well stocked and very clean!! The cashier Kyra was friendly and helpful. The selection of grain free dog food is very large with lots of variety! Grain free dog food has helped my boxer to be happier, have more energy and less stomach issues!!

Had an employee confront me and accuse me of theft in the parking lot because they confused my sunglasses case with an item in their store. I was deeply embarrassed in public over a baseless accusation. I won't be returning or recommending this store.

I had a couple of guppies die on me and upon returning them Joseph (who did a water test that passed), he had excellent suggestions for how to handle the replacement guppies. His knowledge and patience didn't stop with the fish though. He had so many helpful solutions for my dog and cat problems. I can't remember being treated so well at a retail establishment period, never mind a pet store. I've been helped with by the store manager as well about my aquatic plants which was also appreciated. I only wish more store associates took the kind of care they have. Then we'd all spend far less of our time frustrated and buying items online to avoid the unpleasant experiences that seem to follow most "customer service" related brick and mortars these days.
