Thank You so Much for your help! Especially when another emergency hospital wouldn’t. Y’all were so kind and rushed to helped as soon as we walked in the door and rushed him to the back straight away. The wait was minimal. And the Dr’s were on target. We were there maybe an hr. Great Job guys. If I need you again I will surly come back. Thanks. Bunch for taking care of pup!

I-20 medical center thank you for being so caring and considerate and proficient in taking care of Charlie. Charlie and her grandmother thank you so much.❤️My daughter left her cat with me (her mom)until she could come back and get her… the cat has not been spade so I panicked when she went to go outside and stepped back and broke her little leg.😫 The staff was very caring and I can’t say enough on how much I appreciate the time they spent with me and taking care of Charlie. Please don’t stop being Awesome!!⭐️

This was a wonderful and compassionate place for us when we had to say goodbye to our sweet family dog. The experience from the phone call before, to the time there, and even through the mail afterwards….so warm and thoughtful. The doctors and techs were so kind and sympathetic and made the experience a little less painful. We have used this vet before when our other dog got sick and needed emergency attention. That, too, was a great experience with excellent customer service, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and fast response and treatment. Our family highly recommends this vet for your beloved pets.

I had to bring my 8 year old cat, Tobi, here for tooth extractions and while it is pricey, the vets and techs here actually really care and will work with you and do what they can to help. I had Dr. Bloom as well as another very nice Dr (both women) and I have never felt more comfortable leaving my baby alone with others. The Techs here are also really amazing and empathetic and you can tell they love animals and aren’t just here for a paycheck. This means a lot coming from me tbh because I’m just so skeptical of everything usually, but this is absolutely one of the very good ones. My boy was taken care of very well here, I highly recommend.

Took our doodle in for a deep teeth cleaning. This is an emergency hospital so waits are to be expected. Wait was not bad this time and staff, as usual, was very nice and informative. Doc was awesome and I could tell she really cares. Answered all of my questions prior to the procedure. Would definitely recommend I-20!

I didn't know TCAP, SPCA and/or other low cost neutering places have a weight limit for neutering services and I was gonna go out of my mind to find ways on getting my 85-lb Rottweiler-Great Dane-Pit Bull mix baby boy fixed!I waited a year since big dog breeds need their organs a bit longer to support their weight and I was so concerned I wouldn't be able to have him fixed because of how big he got so quickly. I am so glad I found this place!!Brandi and Dr. Kraft were amazing with my pup! Brandi was very gentle with him and took great care of him! He was a bit on-edge (grew up in the country with low people interaction except for the fam) but they took their time and allowed the dog to acclimate to them. They didn't call him "aggressive" like most other clinics - he's just protective of dad. He's a "guard" dog - what do you expect? They called immediately when the surgery was done and told me that there were no complications. All the costs are transparent and fair in my opinion. The response time was reasonable as I understood that my needs are not emergency level and other pets may need immediate attention. They explained the details of surgery and after care and they were very knowledgeable. They looked at his history and got him caught up on immunizations he needs.Keep up the great work taking care of our fur babies! He's resting right now.Note on the reviews I read regarding cost and service - people need to understand that the cost of healthcare for animals is comparable to humans. The vets and techs underwent thorough training and education to care for our babies and the costs of meds (raw materials, manufacturing and quality control) are always increasing to be of the right quality to be safe for use - it is a regulated industry. You cannot expect that just because it's an animal it should be lower than comparable surgical procedures to humans or be given for free. The standards of care and economics are the same. They also undergo a great deal of stress so they may not seem as "accommodating" or "friendly" as you feel they should - the human hospitals are the same!!! They are doing their best.Stop being entitled and feel like your pet is more important than the others.--soap box done--Thank you so much I-20 Animal Medical Center!!!

The staff is amazing and they literally saved my Triggers life!! They are the most caring and wonderful people I have ever worked with! I will never take my baby anywhere else. They are open 24 hours a day and will let you visit your baby in ICU at anytime. I highly recommend them.

My fur-baby was bitten by some ants. She had an allergic reaction. I took her and she was seen immediately. I have taken all of my babies to this hospital before and received excellent service each time.

We unfortunately had to put our fur baby to rest on Sunday. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. With that being said, the staff here were very transparent about cost, treatment, and provided outcomes for every option we had. they advised we would get my boy’s ashes back in maybe 2 weeks, but they came in less than a week! They provided a beautiful box, name tag, ashes, fur, a card (which we received prior to everything else via postal mail), and a cute paw print stand. The card was so thoughtful. Everything really. As stressed and traumatic this was for my husband and I, the staff here were friendly , sympathetic , and accommodating. I’d recommend bringing your fur babies here.

Dr Catherine Zimmerman was delightful and wonderful to our Beauregard. He is a very handsome boy that loves to be petted. She knows he has allergy issues and always does what is the best for him. We love the kindness and expertise of Dr Zimmerman. Thank you!

Took my dog in after he got bit really bad the week before Christmas. His regular vet didn’t have a Dr in and I called 4 other places before calling here. They told me to bring him right in. He was taken back very quickly and given some pain meds and accessed. He did end up needing surgery and to have a drain put in. They went over the cost of everything with me before completing any services. Yes, they are on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected with emergency medicine. Being a former vet tech myself, I am extremely critical of the care my pets receive. I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews of this place, but I had a wonderful experience and I am grateful for everyone who helped myself and my baby. From the front office, to the dr, and the vet techs. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful.

Avoid this place at ALL COSTS.If you have an injured or hurt animal, take it to ANYWHERE, but here. They have hidden pricing charges and take advantage of how important your pets are.You never see the actual vets. They send technicians to deliver the incredibly ridiculous pricing. They use terms like "this will help YOUR BABY" and "your baby is in pain, this will be the only way to make it better."They refuse to help adoption and foster agencies with discounted pricing for emergencies or treatments. So be advised.Added are examples where they charge for "miscellaneous injections" and "miscellaneous medications."Shady, shady, shady.

We had to put our beloved dog down last week. Brandi and Dr. Kraft were so comforting and showed us great compassion. It made an extremely distressing experience a little easier. They took the time to educate us and we knew we were doing the right thing after speaking with them. We got a card in the mail a few days later and the added a print of our dogs paw and nose. They deserve 10 stars but I'm only allowed the option of 5.

After they brought my puppy back to the room, the staff provided the kind of care that you would expect from a medical center. However, if I had based my review on my initial experience, I would have given them 0 stars (if that were even an option). When I arrived, there was no one available at the front desk for check-in and triage, which was concerning since this when Googled shows up as an emergency facility. I had to ask those in the waiting room how to get signed in. In my opinion, this should never be the case.

I-20 has been our vet for five pets now and at least nine years. Their emergency services are a huge plus as you can count on them to be there for you 24 hours a day. Highly recommended.

There is a specialist at this hospital that is fantastic… unfortunately we won’t be utilizing her expertise anymore.I run a rescue and rehab facility, and one of our staff had been working with the specialist on a biweekly appointment schedule to help a dog in our care. She was concerned about the dog and believed the issue to be related to the issue under treatment by the specialist, and attempted to do a walk in appointment.Instead of the specialist, she got one of the ER doctors. The ER doctor presented her with a $6,000 treatment plan, and the staffer felt railroaded into signing off on it (by the staffer’s account, though I wasn’t present). I-20 hospitalized the dog without collecting payment, and shortly thereafter I asked the staffer to tell them to stop treatment and I would pick the dog up because we have a partner hospital that provides non-specialist veterinary services. When I arrived to pick up the dog, I was presented with a $1,700 bill. I told them that I have an executive director to answer to and I can’t pay a bill like that without clearing it with him first, but that I would present him with the bill. Not satisfied with that, James (vet tech manager, per I-20’s website) insisted on attempting contact multiple times himself. My ED requested additional information (specifically including radiographs, the medical record, and the $6,000 treatment plan) before authorizing me to make payment. James did send the medical record, but not the rads or the $6,000 treatment plan. I was told they wouldn’t release the rads without payment and was told they wouldn’t release the treatment plan without approval from the I-20 hospital admin (which presumably wasn’t granted because they never sent it).At the end of the day, the dog is fine, which is great, but our organization now has $1,700 less to use to help other animals. I guess we should be grateful it wasn’t $6,000.The whole experience left a foul taste in my mouth… so much so that I will be utilizing a different specialist with another hospital for this dog’s surgery. Emergency vets are typically paid on production, meaning their pay is dependent upon how much they bill the client. I believe this creates a misalignment of incentives between doctor and client, and certainly leaves me with the perception that the doctor and hospital were concerned primarily with getting paid on a huge workup rather than acting in the dog’s best interest (this is just my perception, obviously, I’m not a mind reader). Supporting evidence for this perception includes hospitalizing the dog without payment (because no one with payment authority was present at the appointment) rather than simply referring back to the dog’s primary veterinarian, no contact with the veterinarian at discharge (no discharge instructions, no handing over of records, just a request from the hospital staff to sign an “against medical advice” form) and no acknowledgment of any possible procedural errors on the hospital’s part contributing to the problem (only repeated requests for immediate payment).I have always been somewhat frustrated by the general distrust in rescue of veterinarians. I put a lot of faith in vets and encourage others to do the same. This situation left me a little shaken in that belief.Edited to add: I know you’re going to apologize for my negative experience and provide a phone number for me to call in the copy / paste response you’re going to post. Guess what, I already have your phone number, and you already have mine. If you were interested in making it right we would have already talked about it.Edit 2: wow, you broke out of your comfort zone and responded to a negative review without using the pre prepared response. The scare quotes throughout are a nice touch. Try adding some paragraph breaks it increases readability.I think the key takeaway for your potential clients is that $6,000 is your “standard workup.” It only cost me $7,500 for a boarded eye specialist to do a lip-to-lid transposition to create eyelids for a cat that was born without them

I can't brag enough on the staff here at this Emergency Veterinary Hospital. I brought my cat in an emergency and they saved his life. It is clear that they truly care about my animal like their family. Dr. Kraft and all the other doctors are kind and adept at their skills. I will continue to come here after my cat heals from his emergency for follow-up care because the service has been so amazing. The manager was also caring and compassionate and it's clear that they care about people and animals at this clinic. Thank you I-20 Animal Medical Center!

Unfortunately yesterday I had to bring my dog in. Everyone was so kind, and helpful here! Dr. Marni Gutman was amazing! She laid out all the information and made it easy for us to understand and patiently answered all our questions. It was a very hard day as we had to put my dog to sleep but she gave him some pain medicine let us go home for a bit so that all his people got to see him and be with him. I know that she even stayed later than she was originally supposed to because we ended up being later coming back than we originally planned and I called ahead. They told me it wouldn't be the same doctor but she was still there and helped us through such a hard time. Cannot stress enough how kind and amazing the staff is here! One tech even said that she was in the kennel with my poor baby cuddling him to help him feel better!

We are so grateful for the staff here at I-20 Animal Medical Center. We brought our dog in on Christmas Eve due to a dog attack. He required a lot of medical attention and ended up needing a leg amputation. The ICU and surgery staff were so amazing during our time there, especially the night staff. They were so attentive to us and showed our dog so much love. They didn’t mind when we visited and often encouraged us to stay longer if we wanted. They even provided detailed home recovery instructions as well. When we brought him back for a check up, everyone was so excited to see him and how his recovery was going. Thank you all so much!

Our family’s cat had an accident that resulted in us deciding to put him to sleep. He had been ours for a long time, and of course the decision was difficult. We took him here after hours and the staff was very helpful and made the end as quick and painless as it could be. While the visit itself was good, yesterday we received a card from the staff that included his paw print. It was a very kind gesture.

This is a very bad place to take your pet. We took our Great Dane there and was given wrong information that almost killed our dog! Thankfully we did not follow the treatment plan that was presented and waited to get into a good vet who was honest. They have astronomical costs and put lots of pressure on us. This is a very bad place! Please do not take your animal here. They will just try to pressure you into treatment your pet doesn’t need and take advantage of you.

I will never take my dog to this hospital again. Dr. Welch seemed like she hadn’t slept in weeks and came in to our room saying that our dog’s lungs sounded fine when we found out 7 hours later that he had a collapsed lung by another vet. She also kept calling him a she and seemed like she didn’t even know what dog she was talking about. The support staff also seemed very rushed and gave us a bill without explaining anything.Thank God for Dr. Doherty who was competent and found out about his collapsed lung and treated him appropriately. She was also very kind and called us the next day to check up on our dog. She is the only reason I’m not giving this place one star.

I not only work at I-20 Animal Medical Center, but I am also a client. The team of CSRs, Technicians, and Doctors provided the best care to my Sadie as we dealt with her kidney disease. I see everyday how all of the staff here truly cares for the pets that come to the hospital. Sadie was our world! This past Friday we had to make the heart-wrenching decision to help Sadie and stop her suffering. To say we are devastated is an understatement. I would like to thank the team at I-20 Animal Medical Center for their care, concern, and compassion for Sadie.

This place is amazing! I took my puppy in for a sick visit and they took great care of him. The staff was great and the doctor was very knowledgeable on what to do for treatment. I love that before they do anything they always give you a break down of prices for services. So no surprises ! Thank you all again for your help. God Bless : )

If I could give zero star I would. I was told by several people to never go here again. Entirely true. I paid almost $500 basically just for medicine and for them to still not be able to tell exactly what my cat needed unless I paid for X-rays first. They basically couldn’t treat her unless I paid first, I had to just take my pet home and pray for the best since most other places were closed. I’ve been recommended by several other people to find another place and to avoid this place at all costs.

We brought our schnoodle in to the clinic on 11/20 due to violent vomiting with spots of bright red blood. By the time we got her to the clinic she had vomited at least 2 more times with more blood. We were taken immediately in to a room and information was taken by the tech. He said he would relay the information to the vet on duty and she would be in to assess. However, we waited approximately 20-30 minutes and our dog vomited again; however this time is was all dark blood. My husband had to go into the treatment area to notify the tech we needed someone to come in immediately. I am in the medical field so when someone presents with hemorrhagic bleeding that needs medical attention promptly. There were no other patients in the clinic. Dr. Zimmerman came in and our dog was admitted to ICU. We have always used I20 for our previous pets but as our favorite vets left we have gone elsewhere. Our schnoodle spent 2 days in ICU and we were allowed to visit. We were informed that she had to be sedated since she was pulling out IVs, was "quite vocal" and extremely anxious. We were told that she should be on Prozac due to her high level of anxiety. Keep in mind that this is a 7 month old puppy that we have had for only 2 months and due to how sick she was and in a noisy and strange environment, I would be quite anxious too. This is also a puppy we purchased and in the process of being trained as a psychiatric service dog. Being in the hospital is a stressful experience whether it be for humans or pets and our puppy was quite sick with an endless stream of diagnostics/labs. Dr. Zimmerman did remark that the growling and some of the behavior exhibited by our puppy were not conducive for a service dog. This pup has been purchased from a breeder that supposedly had 16 weeks of training but we found that not to be the case when we picked her up. We are now spending additional monies with another training facility here in Dallas to start from square one so the remark the vet made hit a raw nerve with us. We felt that is was unnecessary to her to comment on as she did not know the full situation. The one major complaint we have is that when we visited her the first night, she reeked of fecal matter and just generally smelled horrible. We were told she had diarrhea so I am assuming that she used the bathroom in the kennel and was not cleaned up. On the day of her release we were told she given a partial bath but the fecal smell was quite strong and the tech jokingly said she smelled like a barnyard animal. We did not bring in her smelling like that. It took us roughly an hour to give our dog a thorough and gentle bath and to remove the dried fecal matter from her that had matted on her fur, tail and underside. It was quite evident that the "partial bath" the clinic did give her prior to her discharge was inadequate at best. While we appreciate the care they did administer to treat our puppy, the fact remains that feces/diarrhea/urine should be cleaned immediately due avoid unsanitary and bacterial infection. Further, if an animal is brought in presenting with alarming symptoms, the vet should be brought in immediately to examine and assess the urgency and treat expeditiously. It would be safe to say that should we, heaven forbid, need emergency services for our dog again, we will be going elsewhere.

If you need an ER vet gone ahead and take your animal. The staff is nice the problem is I have taken my dog here for a really bad double ear infection and an emergency surgery. The ear infection work up and meds cost me over $700 and when I came for the recheck I waited hours in a room and I was asked to pay for a new work up and totaling nearly $300 before the vet ever came in the room to see my dog. Flash forward to now, my dog had an emergency surgery totaling over $2700 which I gladly paid. Upon pick up, I was erroneously charged for meds again. I thought this would be a simple refund as the emergency service happened in the wee hours so I called back explained the situation and that I would like to be refunded for the meds I already paid for. I was told that only a supervisor could take care of this and she was in a meeting and needed to call back. It’s now near EOB, the supervisor is gone, all the staff that I talked to can’t do anything, and the best they can do is call back on Monday. While I am glad that my dog was able to be seen, I feel exploited by the high price tag and not valued as I couldn’t even get a financial concern rectified. This experience feels like a huge money grab with no concern for the feelings of the patient. Dropping thousands in the middle of the night should warrant an immediate refund of the erroneous $100 charge. If this were the Dollar Tree any person who uses the register/ charges cards could do a small refund. Moral of the story; if you really need help don’t hesitate to bring your fur baby but double check all your line items on your receipt because getting a key stroke mistake fixed will likely take up a week of your life when you should be focused on your animal’s recovery.

I came in with an emergency with my dog. The wait was long but the vet and the vet assistant were very nice and helpful. I could not afford everything that they wanted to do to help get my dog- Duke to get better but the vet came up with a plan that did cost less and now my Duke is doing a lot better. I appreciate their understanding that I did not all of the funds but still worked with me on a plan to get my Duke feeling better!
