Be careful when checking out. If you're not paying attention, the short heavy set woman will scan something twice on you. She got me once , I didn't catch it until I got home. Went to store next day and she tried the same thing. Sure the management don't know she's cheating customers out of money.

There are some everyday items that ,when your supply is short, it just makes sense to stop at the neighborhood Dollar General ,rather than go to the place that you normally shop for just that item.The parking at this store feels dangerous at times because the traffic to other stores that use the same fire lane, often speeds. Blindly backing out from a row of other vehicles that block your view , is scary. ( This is during peak hours .)So, there are times of the day where it is advantageous to shop here, and other times that there is no savings worth stopping for.Prices are higher than what I expect from a “dollar store “. Think of it as a “convenience store” of sorts. Standing in a slow line seems to be "the norm" when checking-out at nearly anytime.., even if you are the only customer in the store, you may be kept waiting until the cashier returns to the register.

I really enjoy the DG operation for its convenience and low prices on quality brand products. The New York and Green Oaks, Arlington, Texas location is my favorite. The manager is extremely friendly and very professional.

They get a lot of customers, and unlike other stores, the inventory is on the shelf and not on the racks. Good job guys...

Whether you come off a 12 hour shift and need a last minute purchase of dog food...whether you walked here expecting a normal experience...Expect them to be closed whenever they choose. Wouldn't be the first time they Are randomly closed before 10. It's okay...I'll just start going to Walgreens instead.

The store was empty. There was literally almost nothing on the shelves. I asked the employee if the store was closing, and she said no, everyone has quit, and there is no one to stock the shelves. She was very cranky, and I could see she was extremely frustrated at the job.

Lousy store and lousy service. Pretty typical for Dollar General, I was sent here for a shopping order but as usual their shelves are empty and they move merchandise to an unrelated location where you can’t find it. Staff member on her phone. I absolutely hate going to the store and I will never ever shop here for anyone ever again.

This is my neighborhood store. It has been for many years. The female employees are wonderful. I think the Management needs to be managed. Biggest complaint here is only one person checking people out. There is always a line. A long one. It's really ridiculous. I've been in line on a Sunday with one employee working and people are stealing left and right. Corporate needs to know.

This Dollar General was messy! It had broken shelves and nothing was where it should have been. You were lucky if you could walk down an aisle because most of them had stuff on the floor or totes that were blocking being able to go through. And they only had one checker. It was just one big jumbled mess. Although the checker was very friendly and courteous and was quick.

This is the second time I’ve run to this location around 8:40am the website and door hours show the hours of operation as 8am -10pm. Needless to say it’s closed 😩😩😩 better management is needed if it’s not staffed properly it takes minutes to update the hours or make a sign

This by far the WORST Dollar General I've ever been in. The place is filthy! It's literally only a mile or so from my house but I won't ever go there again. I'll drive further to get to a better one. Their shelves are always empty but the stock boxes full of merchandise are piled high, literally in every aisle. They obviously never have enough help because you can never find anyone if you have a question. The other day I went in there and waited at least 10 minutes before I saw anyone working there! No one behind the register at all. That was my last visit to this location. Don't shop there unless you're into disappointment!

New manager is nice and does her best to keep the store clean. Sometimes re-stock is a bit slow, but it's a good place to pick some basic necccisties and food.

Never opens on time. Most of the employees are rude. I'm sitting outside the store right now...8:07am. I watched the employee go inside at 8:03. Nothing since. 2 other customers have come and gone. Seems like it's getting worse.Edit: The store finally opened at 8:15 but 7 other customers that came and went. You're losing business because your employees aren't opening the store.

I can't help but love this place. They have everything under the sun & if you bargain/coupon shop, you will know which items you are getting at a great price. They seem to consistently get more & more of a variety & won't disappoint. Customer service is fair.

This Dollar general needs help. Store was a complete mess then i proceeded to checkout and my items were rang up but i was short 98 cents from the cash i was using to pay. My total was 20.98 so .i said ok can i pay 20 cash and the rest on my card? The cashier could not figure out how to make this work. Went back and forth and she could not figure it out and i didnt have the extra dollar in change or bills or i would have done that..I even double checked in my car to see. So all i had was my debit card. I was like well just take something off then and she did not know how. So now she is getting frustrated and said its ok u just need to be trained properly. Well she said just give me your 20 and she'll pay the 98 cents. I said ok but u shouldn't have to do that. Anyways this store does need some help. Shelves needed to be stocked as well.

There waa 4 ppl in front of me took 10 min to get the lady oaying done because her card wouldnt work nor her digital coupons. Cashier called what i assume was the manager from her stocking and she came to help but instead of her helping to check us out she just goes back to stocking..she could have open up another register to get us out. I went there thinking it be faster then Kroger before i went to work but i barely made it back to work Needs improvement on good customer service.

Staff is extremely rude on EVERY visit. I now drive further to a different location.(Nov 2017)Update Aug2018- There has been a change in management and it's a completely different environment. So I'm changing my 1 star to a 5star.

It’s clean and some of the staff is friendly the only person I actually get to meet is jakeith because everyone else leaves him in the store alone I was there today at 4:58pm and three girls that were on the clock clocked out and left him I didn’t think that was right nor did I think it was fair y’all should fire those three girls and it was me and plenty more witnesses in the store to testify to that y’all don’t want hr called on y’all so y’all should step it up because the only one doing something is jakeith

Nice store, nice workers, very very very nasty hand baskets. Since you sell food and offer yellow baskets please please please start power washing them. Some dirt no problem.... not being able to see tyre bottom of tyre baskets are also yellow.... gross. Inn fact veggie i wrote this you had a 3 star... I'm taking one away... thats how nasty they are.

I went to this DG tonight and was very disappointed to find that they were closed at 8:45pm but their website and sign on the door said they close at 10:00pm. I have worked in retail before and understand things happen to have to close early but a simple sign as to why would be appreciated.

It's decent but my only bad experience was with a staff he look very mean & unhappy with his job. Overall it's good just the fact that sometimes they regularly run out of the stuff I need.

I honestly don't know what store any other person on here is going to. But this store is in such a disarray every single day that you walk in there. The only time it was ever and a nice orderly fashion was the week of its grand re opening.

This place had a lot of items out of place. I don't blame the store I blame people coming into the store. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Although, the last time I was in the area the store was closed, gone or being remodeled.
