A well-kept local shop with a fantastic selection of extreme metal in addition to other genres. Their prices are surprisingly reasonable. The staff seems knowledgeable, passionate for the business, and friendly. They even have punch cards that reward frequent customers. Their stock can be seen on their Discogs page too, so if you're a ways away, you can check what they have in-store without making the drive over.

Update: I've been coming here for over 6 years. My main listening is country/bluegrass/Americana, metal, (especially extreme like grindcore, thrash, some Scandinavian black metal some more traditional black metal, powerviolence, death metal) and rock of many types. I've been to many CD stores in DFW and this one is BY FAR the best. No disrespect to other stores but I've been to some where it's just rehashes of the same sound or just the most well known stuff. Best selection in both CD and vinyl format for both the casual listener and the one more into niche. I'll admit I only buy vinyl if I like the album art and just want the details on display I'm not really a collector because I prefer CD. They also have local bands among their selection which is BIG because you get exposed to bands that are currently building their discography. I'm not a new listener by any means and I have found a couple of bands here that I found out just by visiting and seeing names that intrigued me. They sell band merch too that isn't just metalcore, they sell death metal merch. As far as selection you get more known bands like Discharge, QOTSA, Fu Manchu, Death, Darkthrone, Deicide, classics like Rory Gallagher, Marshall Tucker band, Gorguts, etc. BUT you also occasionally get less known bands like Discordance Axis, Beherit, Dystopia, Wormrot, Coroner, Drawn and Quartered, and local bands like Cognizant and Power Trip. You have the standard listens for people getting into metal from movies/social media too like Deftones, Pantera, and Korn. A lot of people complain that there isn't any good music anymore, well you're doing it wrong. Sometimes you gotta go to a good CD store and go to the section with music you like look for that and if you see a title/art that sticks out to you play it on Spotify and YouTube. Something I will say is if you're looking for patches for a battle jacket there's mostly just logos. Forever Young is great too, but something about THIS place with the selection/organization it makes it easier to find good stuff in metal. Frankly this place has wayyyyyyy better metal like it isn't EVEN close. Rare prints? I've found an Ancient svartalheim limited original but that's really mostly it. Ambient: sometimes they play screamo like metalcore, sometimes jazz sometimes Alice in chains and the like, sometimes they play rap/hop, etc.I can't say anything about staff recommendations but I've asked a couple of times about bands like Fu Manchu and they chit chat a bit so that goes to show that they at least have a variety of tastes.Country, Americana, and bluegrass? Decent selection but Forever Young has wayyyy more. Newer albums from bands like the Turnpike Troubadours, Sturgill Simpson, classics like Merle/George Strait/Waylon you'll find here.Pros:-good new listener bands and good selection of lesser known bands-support local bands-friendly staff-they sell metal shirts (official by the looks of it no bootlegs) I've seen Death (Human/Scream Bloody Gore) and Suffocation (Human Waste). When I've looked I haven't seen any tour shirts but I guess you just gotta be there ;)Cons: if you come here once every month or two you're gonna spend guaranteed 😂Old review: Good place, they recognize me as I'm a regular visitor and always greet me. Lately I haven't been buying, but always the same warm reception. If I have questions about inventory they are always open to look for whatever it is or order it if it's not available.

If you’re in Dallas, heading out to see these guys in Arlington a must. Such a cool record store with plenty of hard to find albums & people who really know their stuff. The metal section is awesome. Great to know they’re on Discogs too. Wish there were some like this in Australia 🤘🏽💿

Every time we are in the area we make sure to stop by. My oldest daughter and I love to go digging through the CDs and records there. Wish there was one closer to me.

This place has the biggest selection I've seen for metal. I got most of my dark throne and some burzum stuff here. This place truly has a wife selection, and if there's a cd you want and they don't have they're more then happy to help you find where to get it, ot even order it for you.

I’ve pasted this record shop for about 6-years from time to time and I was always curious about it. It reminds me of shops I used to hangout and buy all my CDs from I my youth. Today I stopped in for the first time and they were having a Father’s Day sale. So I lucked on some even better deals today.I enjoyed digging a bit and exploring what they had. I think they have a good selection and I found some really great prices before the sale prices were added.They were playing great music and had a friendly staff. I would definitely go back and would recommend them. If you’re in Arlington Texas drop in. I see they sell on Discogs as well so for those not in Arlington TX, check them out as well because it looks like they offer quality rating and shipping.

My actual review of this store? Way more than 5 starts. My pocketbooks review of this store? Negative 10. I'm always purchasing more than I intended because of the great selection.The selection here is beyond great, the prices are more than fair/in line, and I'm always finding something that makes me go, "whoa, I haven't seen this in store before." I'm big into getting things in store and physically finding it, so this store is perfect. All interactions I've had with the staff has been great too.Cannot recommend this store enough!

I absolutely love this place!!! They have all the vinyls that I like and the variety is big. Ive found some old classical vinyls and some new releases there too. Would 100% recommend this place for people who like collecting vinyl or more.

Moving back home to Arlington I was so glad I found this spot I was inherited a whole lot of vinyl records from when my dad and my uncle and Cousin passed away whole family of musicians the great thing about this stuff Ben and his people they're so educated and knowledgeable of what to look for they taught me to look for scratches smudges cracks on the record they also taught me how to identify if a cover is in good standing or warps or written on everything that you need to know when you come in to sell your vinyl records I appreciate them educating me so so much I came back 3 days in a row not only to buy and sell but to buy and buy and buy I pretty much clean them out on all of their very cool posters that they have for sale I am going to be framing them painting the frame and fitting a piece of glass and my music studio in my house and I will take a picture and post it on their website when I'm done but they really are a very organized detail when it comes to everything from coordinating genres of music I'm so impressed with how laid back and friendly they are and they really have dedicated customers I am now a customer for life I will only do business with Ben and his staff he has the most remarkable characteristics that you gravitate to he is an amazing person and y'all go see the store go sell your vinyl records go by from him I promise you you won't regret it everything is perfect and I hardly ever give reviews but I had to brag about Ben and his store thank you guys so much for helping me out with everything you did for me God bless all of y'all. 1st time here and will be coming back.Well, lets start out with prices! You can go to half price and pay double of what you pay here.For a smaller place like this i was impressed with the music selection all genres but the Metal section was so cool just wish i brought more money.They also have dvds and bluerays but i came for the music.They are right off of cooper st. Near UTA if your in the area. Check them out.

If you're a collector, stop here! They didn't have everything I was looking for. However, I found several vinyls that I just couldn't leave without purchasing. You can find CDs, cassette tapes, posters, cassette players, and shirts, along with a bunch of other stuff. It is a little difficult to get in/out of th parking lot, but totally worth your time.

Having had to put up with poor selection of metal music in so many CD stores and resellers, it is so refreshing to find a place I can actually find some decent music in physical form. Awesome store. Strong recommend.

They have EVERYTHING. Went here for the first time today and their selection of records, cassettes and CDs was phenomenal. They have a robust section of practically every music genre. I tend to have problems finding the physical music that I listen to but when I went into the shot I couldn't figure out what to take home. They have a large selection to match anyone's taste. And they have an excellent metal section for any metal heads out there!

Great record store that I could spend hours just digging through. Staff was busy with tasks while I was in there, but seemed to be on top of things. Some of my best finds were in the bins below the racks, so make sure you check those if you're looking for the real finds. Also have a great cassette selection (a sentence I never thought I'd type in 2021).
