Wow!! This place is Awesome! Each dish is lovingly prepared, fresh. You can tell with each bite. We had the Mushroom Pierogies and were completely blown away!! My husband had the Jagerschnitzel. My dad had the Stuffed Meatloaf. And I had the Chicken Blintzes. Delicious is an understatement!! My dad is from Europe. I was transported back to the time of visiting relatives, and the painstaking meals they prepared for us to show their love. So glad we came here. Don't be turned off by the nondescript building. The inside is cute and has a family feel with lots to look at and the real treat is the dishes!! Also, they have a neat little market in the back with lots of goodies!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. We will definitely be back!!!!Servers are really friendly as well. Attentive without being over bearing. Give this place a try! So so good!!!Parking: Parking is located behind the building. Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors and wide spaces to allow for all.

I have been coming here for years. Amazing food! The staff are extremely kind and tentative. My favorites are the hot borscht and the chicken kebab. If you’re looking for variety and a wonderful escape from chain fare, be sure to visit this gem.Kid-friendliness: Very patient with my child’s ordering and needs

We LOVE Taste of Europe!! It's family owned and operated, a family from Belarus. The owner's son usually serves us and he always provides prompt, professional, and kind customer service, we love it when he's there! The food is fresh, homemade, delicious, mouth-watering and authentic. I love the jaegerschnitzel and get it with mashed potatoes and extra mushroom gravy, my husband loves the chicken Kiev and also gets it with mashed potatoes. We always start with the potatoe perogies, which are SO good. They come with caramelized onions and sour cream. We always get and love the semi-sweet gold labeled wine for $23, it's from Belarus and tastes amazing. We finish with the cake of the day which is usually a Napolitan layered cake with condensed milk. Everything is always consistently amazing, exceptional quality and the fry on my jaegerschnitzel is always PERFECT! I don't know many places that can consistently execute a perfect, crisp, not oily or burnt, fry, especially on a meat. Please come to Taste of Europe and support this family owned establishment, it's a privilege to eat here and to have such an amazing restaurant local in Arlington. We've been coming here for over a year and will continue to even if we move. Thank you Taste of Europe for the amazing food and great service!!

The ultimate comfort food. You can tell they don’t take shortcuts when they prepare their food because it tastes like it’s all from scratch. Despite the fact that it has been an Arlington institution for decades and has been featured on DD&D it’s still a hidden gem.For first timers the stuffed meatloaf is a good option, but everything is fantastic here.

We stopped in around 12:30 for lunch this Saturday. The restaurant was moderately busy but we were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and hospitable and gave us a sample of Tarkuhn before we ordered our meal. We ordered the Cabbage Rolls, Kolduny, and a glass of Tarkuhn. Our meals were perfectly prepared, well-presented and delicious. We were delighted by the wide variety of Eastern European foods and gifts. We couldn’t resist buying one of the beautiful handcrafted pieces of art and a box of chocolates. We had high expectations based on earlier reviews, but this experience still far surpassed our expectations-the service and food were both outstanding. The ambience was lovely and the gift shop and groceries were an added bonus. We cannot wait to return and try the Dumpling Sampler and dessert crepes. We highly recommend A Taste of Europe to anyone in the area!

Pretty neat place. Has a tiny little market in the corner and is also like a gift shop as well. Reminds me of a museum. Very nice staff. Large parking lot in the back.We got the following items:Chicken blintzes. Texture is like a crepe or pancake rolled into a burrito with chicken inside. Chicken tastes delicious, but was a bit on the dry side. There is a creamy sauce on top. Comes with a side of rice.Meat lovers sampler (Hungarian goulash, beef stroganoff, and meatloaf stuffed with mushroom)Meatloaf is crispy on the outside. Flavorful on the inside. Covered with some sort of gravy.Beef stroganoff is very creamy and rich in flavor. Beef very tender. By far my favorite item of the day.The Hungarian goulash was very tasty. Tomato-y taste to it.The sampler is more than enough food for 2-3 people.Kvas a malt drink and tastes kind of like chocolateTarkhun (green) has a pretty unique taste to it. It's a green carbonated drink. Similar to sprite.Parking: Plenty of spots located in the back.

Very good place for European taste. My friend from Ukraine, told taste of food here is exactly same as the one you get in European homes. So, you can consider food served in this restaurant is authentic taste of homely food of Europe. The man who served food here was super nice and friendly. There are some European items you can purchase other than food. I have shown those options in my photos. It's kind of a good European gift shop too. Have a try guys.Vegetarian options: Vegiterian options are almost nil. You can have mushroom soup, salad, and polished mushroom starter. Other than this, there were no options for vegiterians.

Absolutely delicious, easy to share multiple dishes - the seasonal veggies as a side were very flavorful, the saurkraut with carrots was so good we bought a jar from the grocery side to take with us as well as a loaf of dark bread. Already looking forward to going back! Both to the restaurant and the grocery. Beautiful things to look at all around too and a nice mix of seating. No complaints

Wanted to surprise my hunny with a German dinner, so I found A Taste of Europe. He’s from Germany and hadn’t had a German meal in awhile.Dinner was amazing and he also said the food was very authentic and that it brought back so many nice memories. Also mentioned how the flavors were on point. They also have a lil store that had a variety of goods from Europe. Also to add to the beautiful appeal they have merchandise as in collectibles & nic-nacks, it was all around a wonderful experience and he was very delighted.

Wonderful place! I'm glad I found it. Had to get the combo perogies, since I haven't had good ones since I was in Poland. They were so very fresh and tasty! The cabbage ones were my favorite, though. Also got the Carmel crepes for dessert and they didn't disappoint either!

When I walked in the door the music was relaxing. The environment felt very comfortable and quiet which I like. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff, and it was great. The sauce was creamy smooth and not separated or gritty. The noodles were perfect and the meat was tender and seasoned well. The cook pulled off a 1-2 combo with the preserves crepes which I Never had. Bravo to the cook, and service!!!

When you watch Guy Fieri's DDD, it's fun to try and find the places he visited - and this is one of them! They highly recommend making reservations which I did (it was early Sunday afternoon but I didn't want to take any chances). I asked for their suggestions - it turns out I was talking to the owner! I had the Borscht and Hungarian Goulash both of which were excellent. I also got a layered cake to go for dessert. I had a nice chat with the owner.and hope to stop by on my next trip to Arlington.

Taste of Europe is awesome!! We took a church youth group to it last week and it far surpassed anything that we had hoped for. We went because we were studying about Missionaries in Ukraine and wanted to eat some Ukrainian food. Wow! It was great! We tried several of the sampler platters, along with Chicken Kiev, Borscht, Varenyky, and more -- it was all outstanding. More than that, the service and ambiance were exemplary!! I highly recommend Taste of Europe. We will be back -- and if you go, you won't be disappointed!!

Great, yet novel, experience. Definitely a destination and worth checking out when wanting to be adventurous. The way the restaurant is structured, you’re more or less seated in the middle of a Russian gift shop.Everything we had was pretty good with lots of unique flavors. The sampler appetizer had a variety of tasty pickled things, and I could have eaten the Moscow salad as a whole meal.Instead, I got the meatloaf, which was amazing. Savory with a great spice palette, I couldn’t get over how good it was. My wife got the potato pancakes, which were a little bland, but it was a nice balance to the other strong flavors and paired well with sour cream. My mother-in-law got the cabbage roles and they were delicious and a significant enough portion that she made two meals out of it.I tried the Russian soda, bright green and tasted like sweet licorice... not my favorite, but glad I tried it. The tea with Russian sugar was good, and the kid loved the cherry juice. The crepes with jam were amazing, although we splurged and tried the caviar, which was pretty disappointing. Other than that, everything was top-notch.Afterwards, we walked around and picked out some nice chocolates to take home, as well as a few little gifts.Definitely check it out!

We love this place! Our first experience was when the grandfather owned the restaurant. So we have been going a couple years now. I think, the grandson took over. And it’s still AMAZING FOOD. No regrets ever eating there. Wonderful staff, always hot and fresh food. One my favorite places to visit. I wish I had more photos.

Say hello to beef stroganoff and cabbage rolls. The experience! Absolutely delicious. The flavor! Absolutely divine. These were the perfect comfort foods, respectively. I also hear the pomegranate wine is super! Also, did you know Taste of Europe was featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives"?...Guy Fieri ate here. So dope!I'll definitely be back. 10/10 would recommend 👌

This place rocks the house! The beef stroganoff and chicken kiev are absolutely incredible. We're a big fan of the perogies as well and we enjoy shopping at the little market they have in the restaurant. The staff is always nice and helpful, especially when we can't read certain items on the packages. Were so glad this establishment is doing so well!
