Stop searching and just stop here. Delicious burgers. Ordered both the single cheese burger and the chili burger, because well why not. Can’t go wrong either way. Fries were crispy and super hot. Service was great. Very clean all around including restrooms. And room in the parking lot for trailers and moving trucks. Great experience on a long road trip.

My daughter and I stopped there to have dinner. It was the worst experience. I ordered chicken thighs and not only were they very small but they were hard and it was very obvious they had been microwaved. The fries were cold. My daughter ordered chicken tenders and they were so awful that I allowed her to throw them away. We ended up eating somewhere else in Abilene. Also, the service was terrible.

Be careful when you blink, you may miss this gem of a place. We lucked upon this place while traveling on a ski trip. Pulling up, it looks like the same ole old restaurants you pass through in all the small towns BUT don't let it deceive you. The food was nothing but amazing.First off they have a "drive through" which was clutch traveling with kids so we didn't have to go in. There was a menu before the window and then you pull up to the window and give the person your order - face to face. The two people who we spoke to were nothing less than kind with exceptional customer service. I'm not sure if this is a family owned and operated place but you get that vibe with the quality of service. Plus, I believe they cooked our order fresh (or if not, sure tasted fresh).Cherry Limaeade - full disclosure I am not one for cherry limeade... AT ALL. But, my husband ordered one for the kiddos and as I watched the gentleman squeeze the limes fresh, I had to order one these bad boys for myself. Totally have nothing to compare to since I never order these but have to say it was nice and refreshing.Chicken Tenders - these were bomb! The chicken was moist (sorry for those who hate that word but what better way to explain) and juicy. The size of the tenders was thick and hearty compared to the skinny small size of chain competitors. Nothing more disappointing than a chicken tender with barely any chicken that's just all thick flavorless breading. This was perfectly all chicken with a thin amount of breading. And the flavor! Not sure what seasonings they use, but it was very on point with flavor. Fries (similar to what I read on reviews) were a little meh but didn't need to be the star of the show since the tenders were.Cheeseburger - my son ate a majority of this but I tried the remainder of the patty by itself. Which I was also surprised had a very good flavor vs what you get at bland chain competitors.Puff - what is this so called puff? Luckily it happened to come with the meals we ordered otherwise I wouldn't have known to order it. It was a nicely soft fried puff of "I don't even know what". One thing I can compare it to is maybe like a funnel cake taste in a puff version - minus the sweet...unless you put some warm honey in it.If you can't tell - two thumbs up on recommending this place when you happen to be passing through good Ole Anson, TX.

It’s about the food, not the building….so get your nose back down all you Scenery Snobs, because it’s down home time at Hatahoe!! Fried fish, pulled BBQ, tacos, steak fingers, fried chicken shut yo mouth before ya momma can slap it. There’s an old saying, and if you get it you get it……at Hatahoe, they put their foot in the damn thang. Love and antacids ya’ll, I’m’a be at the Get-n-Go in Hamlin next.

Went with a friend for a nice dinner, we both ordered the double cheeseburger with fries, onion rings and a large order of Fried Okra, drinks we included and were awesome, hard to find Barq's root beer on tap but Hatahoe had it. The cheeseburger what's the best cheeseburger I have had so far in a 50 mile radius. Fried okra was on point and we had enough fries to go for a snack later. The onion rings we're really good. Everything was fresh battered and you can tell by the taste. But don't ask me you should try it out yourself. If you're looking for some good old home cooking fried meals and you want to be full this is the place to go and the food is great the staff is friendly and I definitely will return.Vegetarian options: They do offer salads.Parking: There was a drive-thru in about 8 to 10 spots.Kid-friendliness: There were high chairs available in the dining area.

Visited on 11/5 @ 5:30ishDisappointed with 2 of our meals. Ordered 2 chicken steak finger meals and they were extremely overcooked to the point of tasting brunt Called to let the manager know and that I would be coming back for a refund later in the evening as we were in Hawley visiting family. Unfortunately this isn't the 1st fried menu item that has been overcooked.Mistakes happen but being ignored at the drive thru and then at the counter is inexcusable. Manager was rude and dismissive, we expected more from a small town business in Anson.

I love their cheeseburgers. I buy mine with grilled onions, pickles, mustard and mayo and that's it (plus they will cut in half as they are easier to eat that way,) I don't care for their French Fries but I do recommend the regular order of tater tots and they serve more than I need but I've never not finished them! A very fair serving and far better deal than say sonic which is basically next door. If you want a fair value and a good burger, etc. this place rocks and is a much better value than Sonic. Service can be slower when it's busy but I know it's just hard to find employees. Don't go expecting McDonalds style drive thru service and speed. I want to try the Mexican plate, etc. Never eaten anything but the burgers. Keep very small town as a consideration with regards to expectations and not a big city drive through.Parking: When the weather is comfortable, I tend to drive through and eat on the pic-nick benches just in front of the building.

Good food only reason I come back. Service is terrible! I have waited in the drive thru 2 or 3 times now for 10 or 15 min and they just look at you thru the window and then act like you arent there. Never even come to see if you just have a call in order or if you need to order. I have drove away from the window a couple times and went elsewhere. And when you call in a order the phone rings about 15 times and then you hang up and call again and it rings almost that many times again before someone finally picks up. I can show a bit of mercy for a one off but when it is everytime we order here it is the same I have a problem. Especially being in the food service myself.

I ordered the 3 piece chicken combo with mashed potatoes and gravy instead of fries. When my order arrived, I was given fries anyway. The waitress took the plate back and brought me the same plate with a cup of mashed potatoes. I started to take a bite of the chicken and found it green under the skin. Then I took a sip of the coke and it had sugar in it. The waitress took it back and brought me a root beer. Same thing, sugar water with a hint of root beer. I threw the whole thing in the trash, and was charged $12.00. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN.

Good little restaurant with American food and a little bit of everything else. Chicken tenders, tacos and burgers are just a few of the items you will find here. You order at the counter and then sit and wait for your food. Prices are average, service is fine but nothing to write home about. Decor is almost none existent but it’s a somewhat clean place to stop by for a bite.

We tried out the catfish and it was very tasty. Only wish I had ordered more as the filets weren’t that large. Very clean and staff very courteous and helpful in our selections. While ordering I saw the cook making a club sandwich. It looked well worth the try. Maybe next time.

Found this place while moving from El Paso TX to Lawton Ok. The owner was very nice the food was really good but on our last visit we were the only ones there besides a gentleman whom had already had his meal. We ordered our food and waited longer than expected while four other groups came in a short time afterwards. Our food finally came out warm not hot. The fries and onion rings felt like they had sat for some minutes. As soon as we received our food all of the other patrons food came out which we felt should have taken mire time since our food took so long and we were the only ones ordering. We were so looking forward to eating here on our way to and from but the staff cut that short. We will no longer eat here. Thank you for the disappointment. Maybe it was because we didn't give a tip when ordering at the counter but I have never tipped a hamburger stand. Restaurants yes but not where you stand at the counter to order. Maybe your change into a tip jar. Not when you're suggesting 15% or more
