Stayed part of one night when travelling from Uvalde to Albuquerque. All the motels were full. 2 of us slept in our minivan next to the tent area. It was pleasant, though barren. But barren is what this territory is all about. The restrooms were decent and working, with no frills. For $7 we got showers and place to park. To us, a great deal. At about 2:30 am a train came around the bend blasting its horn and headlight right into the park. I went from deep sleep to flight or fright mode in a millisecond. Now that I was awake, I went to the restroom, then hopped into the van and resumed my journey in the darkness of night. No way I'd get back to sleep after that rude awakening. I'd stay here again, but I'd be certain to sleep with earplugs.

This little campground in the middle of nowhere on the way to Big Bend country had every thing a camper would need. Full hookups for your rig, shade, plenty of room to maneuver a big rig without unhooking your tow vehicle. They even have an area for folks that are tent camping. They have bathrooms and laundry. Dark skies and the occasional train going by make this a wonderful stop. It has a self service pay station, just drop your money in the piggy. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great spot for us to stop on the way to Big Bend. The scenery is beautiful here. It was $30 for full hook up and has a pay box, a laundry shed, and shower for $3.Sanderson is a beautiful small town but unfortunately we came Sunday/Monday and nothing was open except Alon gas/convenient store.

We stayed here for two nights when we got pinned down by the snowstorm while passing through. It was a nice spot and just what we needed. Several weeks later, we received an envelope from Canyons with $20 explaining that we'd accidently overpaid because we had given them two $20 bills stuck exactly together. (You pay via envelope in a drop box.) 5 stars for honesty and customer service.

We were on our way to Big Bend, an 800 mile trip. We made it in to Sanderson around dark due to unexpected in route delays. Finding this little park was unexpected, and welcomed. The road nor the train was an issue. The place was clean and the price was reasonable. We're planning our next trip now. We're planning to put our travel trailer in the park for a few days, and use it as a base to tour the area by car. Looking forward to our next visit.

Bathroom and showers are horrible, laundry is ok, wifi is offered but cant find the password anywhere. You get power water and sewage at each spot. The park is set up a big weird with some rvs and some full time houses right next door.

Just pulled in at 1900 hours. Right on the road and train is right there too. BUT the train blows the horn after it passes the park, so it's not that loud. The sites are level and in good working order. It's clean and tidy. Nice viewsOk, the train is really close and rattles your RV.But still a great place to camp.

Nice location near Big Bend. Colorful history. Nice people. I did the hiking trail by the high school field, and had a great opportunity for photos. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 8s because of trains and truck traffic throughout the night.

This little park is ok! If you need a waypoint between San Antonio and the Big Bend this one night stay is worth it. Although the rest room and showers are a bit rustic they are clean. Oh, and payment is on the honor system.

Clean well kept with full hook ups and laundromat. All pull thru sites. Highway traffic and the very few trains that pass weren't an issue for us. Reasonable rates. Overall a nice place to spend a day or two.

Besides the fact that it's Sanderson Texas, nothing against the place or the people i had a comfortable stay. There were some issues that came up but Madison was great in getting them resolved. The only complaint that i have and it's no fault of theirs is that I'm 6'2" and it was almost nerve wrecking when it came time to shower, lol, other than that i really enjoyed my stay and the price was awesome. I recommend Canyon RV if you don't own and will be in the area for an extended stay. I will definitely do business with them if i unfortunately find myself back in Sanderson..

We were passing through after leaving Big Bend National Park and stayed the night in Sanderson. We were totally surprised by how nice the canyons rv park was. The set up and cleanliness was much better than we had experienced in the Big Bend resort rv park we had been in. This place is a gem when traveling on hwy 90.

It's a quick and easy stop. No bells and whistles but nice and clean. The train does go by a few times a day, but really isn't a bother. The check in is super simple. Find an open spot. Go and pay. $30.00 for an RV.

Excellent value in a much needed location with nowhere else to camp for miles in either direction. Great shower. Only complaint is tent camping is right next to laundry which is open 24 hours and is used by the public. So very noisy!

Nice place but very limited number if sites. The site we had was wired wrong for 50 Amp. Think it was site 4. The same phase of 120VAC was connected to both sides.
