I was a customer or a different local groomer, I switched when they decided to shave him rather than work on his “matted” ears. His ears were more matted than past appointments but not severe, it had only been 3 months since he was last groomed. Central Bark groomed him and he turned out great. I had an 9 am appointment, on the weekend and he was home by 11:30. I won’t switch back, this is our new groomers going forward.

The location is easy to find. The lobby is clean and nicely organized. We were greeted by a friendly staff person who took my dog and then came back to answer my questions. I like the variety of services offered and the prices are reasonable. I think we may have found the perfect daycare for us.*** Update: We've been using Central Bark for daycare, grooming, and boarding since Feb. 2022. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to care for my precious Taz.

We took our fur baby here for the first time yesterday. She is a husky, and she has really bad seperation anxiety. Megan did a great job with her, and when we got her back she looked, and smelled, amazing. Thank you for taking care of her. We will be back!

I am very disappointed and upset with my experience with Central Bark.I made a reservation for boarding for 2 of my pups but unfortunately one of my dogs caught bronchitis last minute and I did my due diligence and let Central Bark know of this and would be willing to cancel or give proof from vet that illness was not contagious. Natalie let me know that they would not be willing to take either of my dogs which is absolutely fine but what is unacceptable is that they REFUSED to give me a full refund on my deposit. I typically do not make issues for businesses as my family also have many businesses across the US but I am actually appalled by this.By taking money from someone YOU are REFUSING service to is unethical. I am so upset by this that I was shaking and in tears because money is hard to come by these days and the deposit was not small.Their main concern that they were expressing to me was that they are losing money by having to refuse service - which I understand but I hope they understand they are losing MORE money by losing a future customer and with word of mouth, many others.With the many other 1 star reviews I read before writing this, I expect a very passive aggressive and unprofessional response which is to be expected from a such an unethical business.

This place was great under the original owners. Very good communication, Nahlia loved going there, and we had zero problems with boarding or day care. In comes Wyatt, the new owner. That's when things changed and started going down hill. We could tell a difference in the employees attitude towards our dog, communication went astray, and just an overall uneasy feeling about taking our dog there. After taking her there for two years, yes two years, they all of a sudden are having an issue with her. Saying that we need to pay more to keep taking her there? First off, they had never said a word before this. One day we go to pick her up and she's all of a sudden hard to handle and a problem. It might have been different if there would have been communication and they would have let us know in a timely manner. I sincerely don't think it's the dog, I believe it's their lack of knowledge and training to be able to handle different situations. Nahila is one of the smartest dog's out there, and I guess she was too much for them to handle. Needless to say, I would not recommend Central Bark, nor will I ever take my girl back there for anything. You need to be up front with your customers and tell them when an issue arises, immediately. And no Wyatt, you didn't say one word about it.

It was my first time enrolling a puppy in daycare, so of course, I was scared and hesitant at first. But our pup really needed to socialize with other dogs and people, so we made a choice.. and made the right one at that with Central Bark! Staff is amazing from the get go! And when we left our little Nugget for a couple days, we were at ease knowing she was getting all the TLC plus belly rubs. They also sent pictures while we were away. 10/10 recommend this place!!

LaDon, Clarke, and the entire staff at Central Bark were wonderful. It was our dogs' first time staying at Central Bark, and I was so pleased to see the spacious, spotlessly clean facility and play areas! I was extremely pleased with all of the love and play time given to all of the dogs. My boys had a great time!

Megan is a wonderful groomer and person. We love her and wish it would have worked out.The scheduler seems overwhelmed and could not get things together for our 2 dogs. After multiple texts over about an hour (for appointments that were requested last week), he still couldn’t keep things straight. He tried to confirm my appointment for tomorrow with the wrong dog, and at the wrong time (4 instead of the 1:15 I scheduled).I was texted an hour before the appointment today (that was never confirmed) to cancel it, and he blamed ‘a bug in the system’ for there being no text communication since they were requested.This has never been an issue here before. Even if I didn’t get a text, I’d still receive a confirmation email within a few days, and a reminder email a couple days before the appointment. Yes I opted out of promotional emails because they were too often for my preference. I was still on notifications for ‘updates on appointments’ which I assumed confirmation would fall under.It used to be super easy to schedule. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere!

I’m very upset I paid over 90 bucks for service for my husky to get deshedded be4 Xmas and hes is just shedding like crazy… mind u I got this done before and had no problems but I also didn’t pay over 90 last time.When asked about the service they said I paid for an extra 15 min brush and ive never paid that. Very very disappointed!!!

Our dogs Max and Molly Absolutely Love going to Central Bark They jump in the car and bark with excitement. We also use Central Bark for grooming . Very satisfied with grooming and Spa Days. When we go on trips they stay in boarding and we never have to worry about them. Central Bark takes very good care of them.

Written notes were provided about her 1st day and how she responded in each situation. I received good information from the staff about other services. Maisie has thrived at Central Bark Amarillo! She is our 6.5 year old Border Collie that was becoming an afternoon napper and losing interest in playing. After 4 months once a week of structured play with enrichment she has become more focused and confident around new people as well as other dogs. Her energy is better and it's like she got her sense of humor back. The staff is amazingly caring and well trained to work with the pups in a positive manner. Also, we have had good results with grooming. I was skeptical of Doggy Daycare at first but now I am a believer.

First time leaving my 12 week old puppy anywhere and I was nervous. The communication from Central Bark from the moment I dropped him off until I picked him up was great! They let me know how he was doing and sent some pictures. He is a very timid puppy but was positively a different guy when I picked him up. It’s safe to say, we will be back!

Ava is my AFib service dog, and therfore of great value to me. She is also my best friend. I wouldn't send her just anywhere for grooming. As a minature Chiweenie, Ava is on the delicate side. Central Bark treats Ava very gently when grooming her. They know how important she is to me, not only as a pet, but as a health aide. I am very pleased with the service and staff at Central Bark.

I just relocated here from Houston and this is, by far, the best place I've taken my dogs to get groomed. The attention and care my boys received was excellent. The staff is extremely courteous and professional. They even, for a very reasonable fee, picked up and dropped off my boys. Sent our puppy, Fish Toast for enrichment daycare last week and fell in love with the company! Everyone I met are super friendly and kind, Fish loves his days in daycare! Comes home absolutely dead and sleeps for the rest of the day. You can tell he had a good time. I am so disappointed! I called around a few months ago to different groomers asking their prices for doodles. I was excited when I found Central Bark and I was told it was $75. I scheduled my first appointment and it was the correct price. I just picked up my doodle from her second appointment and the total was $146!!!!!!! I asked why this was and I was told I was given a regular dog grooming appointment price the first time and this was the doodle price. I would NOT have chosen to take my dog here if I knew the price was so high! I have NEVER paid so much to get my doodle groomed! I am fuming!!!!!!! She looks great but That is besides the point when I did not budget to spend that much! We will not be back!!
