Quality and Prices!I always enjoy their selection and prices. They are a small business but their prices can normally beat the big chains and sometimes Fish Pro's as well.They have quality fish for freshwater or salt water aquariums. Beautiful Gourami's, Betta's, and more! We have purchased many species from them and they have all thrived in our tanks with no issues.I have included pics of fish we have purchased from AJ's so you can see and appreciate the quality and beauty of what they have to offer.

I wanted to give AJ Aqatics another shout-out. Just bought and put together a 4×2×2 Reptile Habitats Enclosure. Looks great and pieced together with no problems.They recommended this enclosure, and my Bearded dragon loves it. This is my 1st big enclosure and it's worth every penny.So far no matter what I have needed or wanted, AJ Aquatics pulled through everytime. From fish to reptiles I have found the only place I do business.Thanks again for everything!!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Amarillo from Lubbock and just so happened to stop by this store. I'm so happy we did! Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped in the store. We were there for about an hour and received the best customer service I have ever received at any business. They shared a wealth of knowledge with us about various saltwater and freshwater fish, plants, coral, and inverts. We bought several items and they packaged them very well for the 2 hour trip back to Lubbock. I definitely recommend this fish store to all locals, nearby towns, and anyone just passing through. We will definitely be back!

Every visit to this store is a blast the staff is beyond helpful and friendly is an understatement. Not only are they honest without pressing for a sale they will do they're best to ensure top quality & carefully assist you with whatever questions you have. We have had less than good luck with other local shops but man do these guys know their stuff and are grade A people. Every fish we have gotten from here has been fairly priced and healthy. They helped my wife and I drive further into our new hobby with excellent advice & encouragement. Dont sleep on this shop!! Never leave the shop without a great conversation and a good laugh. I discovered AJ Aquatics a couple of months ago, when I went in on a whim to look for plants. Now it's turned into a regular stop for me. The staff is fantastic. They were the first and so far only store that actually talked me out of a purchase when they figured out what I wanted wasn't actually the best idea for my situation, which really stood out in a big way. They have a really nice selection of fish, and the absolute best selection of plants in all of Amarillo. I don't keep saltwater tanks, but from all appearances, they also have a lovely selection of marine fish and corals. So, if you're an aquarium keeper and you haven't visited AJ yet, go check them out. You'll be glad you did. Everything I have bought from them has been fantastic.

My wife contacted them on Facebook because we're brand new to saltwater aquariums. They answered her questions there and when we visited, they spent a good thirty minutes answering questions, offering advice, and just getting to understand what we wanted. You can tell they care about their customers and their tanks. They don't try to oversell you or waste your time/money. Well worth a visit if you ever need help, advice, or items for your aquarium. They've expanded their hours, making it even easier to shop. I really can't say enough about these guys. They're great and you definitely should shop with them for your aquarium needs, whether beginners or advanced.

Stopped in yesterday for the first time. We were greeted upon entry and the owner walked around with us showing my son and I all the fish. Also listened to some aquarium troubles I've been having and suggested a product from his shelf. By far the cleanest tanks in town. Didn't see a single dead fish in the tanks and all looked healthy and active. Would highly recommend! Will definitely be going back!

I was greeted right away. Very informative and friendly. Not at all about pushing product for profit. Theese guys are in it for the love of the hobby. Very refreshing! I will be going back most definitely!! Had some beautiful peacock goby I will be going back for. I was preparing my speech in my head about how I would come back for them after I got my tank parameters right when the young man advised me not to buy until just that 🤯 how awesome is that? Any other fish store would have tried to get me to buy those fish then and there. This store is just about fish so their attention isnt pulled in a hundred different directions. It's all about the hobbyist and knowledge. Their prices were excitingly great. I'm thrilled about this place and hope they do great!

This is a real good local aquarium shop with really great and knowledgeable staff and the owner will help you with your fish selection. This place also has a website that you can shop your fish and also see what fish they have in their inventory
