My niece randomly wanted to stay over & it was cold after her volleyball game. We went to dollar general being closest. Thankful they had little girl socks, & leggings. That's all they had for an 8 year old. I'm thankful for those items, just wish there was more to choose from. Anyhow DG kept her warm till her mom brung her bag.

If you follow your gps and end up at someone's house, keep going straight past the gas stations and the subway. You'll see it after that. Unfortunately Google hasn't fixed the pin for the store's actual location yet.I can tell you this for sure.... Wonderful associates work here! Very kind and helpful! I'd hate for you to miss the opportunity to shop and find something great you didn't even realize you were looking for yet!! 😉

Good store to get things you need without having to go into Decatur. The staff is really nice. But it's really small so sometimes you can't get through an Allie due to having restocking going on or someone just leaves cart in it. Most the time very easy to find things and only downside is that there stuff will go out of stock fast and takes them a week or longer to get anymore back in.

Good store! Usually has what you need. If you are a couponing person, don't bother trying to get any penny items. The employee's take them off the floor so the customers can't purchase them. They either keep them for them self or throw them away.

This store has friendly employees and management. It is kept up better than most Dollar General stores. My biggest concern would be for them to get window tint or blinds for their front windows. The front of the store is very hot during the summer as the evening sun beams through onto the check-out area. I have asked about this and was told that corporate wouldn't do anything about it. It is a very nice alternative to Wal-mart madness. Thanks for opening your business in Alvord.

I don't know what kind of code rule book they go by, or what type of managers they have, there was a worker at the cash register sick with something. Could easily tell by their face and eyes. They should of been sent home! Not still working!

I came in in a great mood I was down from East Texas, to visit my sister we was laughing and joking just shopping. We get to check out my sister goes 1st. While checking her out the cashier, asked my sister " so did yall decide not to get the hair dye? I said I'm buying this 1. At 1st I didn't understand, then I remembered I got 2 boxes went over to ask my sister which 1 I should get. Then I took the other box and put it on the shelf. So she thought we were stealing hair dye. I was so mad. My sister says they have done her like this b4. It was ridiculous I am still mad. I will be reporting these 2 girls. I work hard for the things I buy I don't steal. If they thought I was stealing they should of called the police to search my purse. I will not let this go. Know that you dumb girls. They should of been cleaning their store up I have never seen a groser dollar general.

awesome store. fully stocked...very friendly cashier's...just awesome...I shop dollar general daily and I've never been to a store that has EVERYTHING fully stocked....

This store was nice when it first opened and was well managed.Not now,its cluttered and shelves are not stocked.Customer service stinks and prices are not marked on shelves as they are on the dg ad.

It's a shame this store really went down hill as far as clean. Everything looks cluttered. Boxes to unpack in front of the store. Piles of dust under the candy by the register. Just a real mess.
