Small, Clean and friendly. I just moved around the corner and I walk. They have essentials. And honestly, not really higher than other stores. During this Covid mess. I felt very safe due to the cleanliness of shelves and isles. Wonderful job employees!! Good job Owner and manager! Please treat your employees well. You have some good ones!

The cashier was very sweet and engaging. Of course it is unfortunate that prices if food have gone up but David's seemed to try and off as much help with sales on groceries. The produce was very fresh and the store is well maintained. I'll be back as often as possible.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. This location went above and beyond just so my son can have his Borden's Premium Eggnog. They only had 2 left and I am willing to buy the whole lot no matter how many they had. Stacy called another location so that we could get a great deal for him. Since we were driving way to get it. Great amazing people willing to help a mom out so that her baby could have a great Christmas.

Dalton Warren makes my chest hairs tingle. He has given me the best customer service I’ve ever had in my 56 years of life. He deserves to be promoted. He had made my day, week, and year. I will be coming back every day because of him.

David's has always been a go 2 place for me since I live in the area. Their always willing to help you if they have the time and people. Restrooms could use a bit of tidying up but honestly. Who goes there for the restrooms unless it's an emergency lol great job staff of David's. You'll be seeing me in the future. No sarcasm intended. I'll see you but you won't see me. I may even be there tomorrow.

Found this Grocer purely by accident.Store layout was easy to navigate. Produce was fresh and well presented. Lots of daily specials in various departments.Value pricing with more than ample selection. Aisles were clean and not cluttered. Employees were very knowledgeable, polite and helpful.Normally I shop Aldi, but David's has won me over. David's Grocery, Alvarado, TX.

Located in the center of town in Alvarado. A smaller grocery store with a small town feel when walking in. A quiet place to shop. Employees are great. Giving excellent service and products to it's customers. Yes most of everyone i know call it by it's old name still "David's" lol. It will probably always be refered to as David's.

I love the Alvarado David's... they ARE service dog friendly! I drive 8 miles to go there, since Brookshire Brother's took over the one down the road, and they started constantly harassing me about my little service dog. Please don't leave Alvarado!

As I was leaving the store, I had a basket full and actually needed help out.Instead, I struggled to get my basket out the door and one of the girls there saw me and walked right past me saying.... excuse me and not even asking if I needed help.Some kid was out vacuuming and didn't even acknowledge me either.They were young kids, but that's no excuse.Always help unless the customer states otherwise.Normally im pretty happy walking in there.Not today.

Overall the store has most of what you need, but I highly recommend you purchase your produce elsewhere!!! Time and again I have purchased produce there and it has always been awful. Maybe it’s because they are not moving as much product as a larger grocery chain. If you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all. I like to support the local guys, but I’m really tired of spending money on food that is destined for the trash can.

I used to work here and half the stuff i found was expired and one of the oldest things i found was a busted bag of tortillas from 4 years ago... they had a busted can of biscuits that was molded over and i told the store manager about it and he said we need a work order to fix it amongst many other things i can remember. DISGUSTING

It is exactly what I expect out of an old small town grocery store. The store has been there for a long long time, it isn't the cleanest grocery store in town. I stop there 3 or 4 times a year when I need just one item otherwise I go to the other Alvarado grocery store. Could be a nicer store but the employees have always been very friendly and the prices aren't too bad.
