The caring hands at the shelter gave me peace during a family pet situation . Thank you for what you do and I’ll always be grateful! 1000% above and beyond the call of duty. The building, kennels and dogs were all very clean and all the dogs looked relaxed and comfortable as I walked through. It was impressive! You can tell they are treated with love, respect and kindness. Adopt, Don’t Shop!!

The ladies here are amazing, and volunteering every day is a treat, and has helped a lot with my anxiety and problem solving skills. Playing with the animals is also a cherry on top, and from what I've seen, the shelter handles itself well in terms of adoptions and other related processes!

I wanted me and my girls to volunteer at the animal shelter. Samantha and Anabelle greeted us with open arms. We have had the opportunity to groom, exercise and train the dogs at the shelter. It has been a game changer for my girls for their anxiety. They do what is best for the animals. I would rate them 10 stars if I could.

We absolutely love spots he was made in heaven for our family and fits in perfectly. The dog posted in the pictures with him hated cats and they are the best of friends.

I have lived out here about four years now and have tried to work with them on several occasions.They were rude and no help .I gave them the benefit of the doubt.After about the third time I said NEVER AGAIN,I thought she needs to hunt a new job if she hates that one so bad.I pray she treats the animals better

The workers are very kind, they made it possible to interact with the animals. It's small, but they put the animals first.

It says they have animal control but they won't come get a stray dog that is running loose. The police are animal control and they said unless the dog bites someone they won't do anything.Sounds like Alvarado only has animal control to make money off people not to help.

Adopted a sweet baby cat today. The ladies working there are great, very nice on the phone and very kind and helpful in person. Highly recommend.
