I just have to say THANK YOU to the incredible staff at this facility! 2 doctors (with their families to help) came in 10pm on a Saturday night to do an emergency C-section on my sweet little goat Joy, who had been in labor 10 hours. No other vet was available...and even emergency vets were turning me down. Thankfully, our regular mobile vet told me to contact Alvarado Vet. Not only did they save momma Joy's life, but baby Faith lived too! And now this year, 8 months later, joy has successfully birthed a new baby girl *naturally*, and Faith is pregnant! Thank you doctors so much for your compassionate, professional and effective care for our sweet goats at Goat Yoga Rockwall!! I appreciate you more than I can say!

My Pitt Slater had cancer and we literally latched onto this vet. These guys went above a beyond for our boy and we are forever grateful! This is an amazing team and they truly make you feel comfortable in any situation. We lost our boy 4.12.24 but this team made it so smooth and allowed us the time we needed to say goodbye. This place is amazing. No matter how busy they are (and they are always) they still have the time to treat you like you are their only patient for the day. Every staff member I've dealt with is amazing. They are great with dealing with my diva covid baby. They don't judge or look down their noses at you. Prices are great makes them the best in area

I have been going to Alvarado for years for all my pets. I have never been over charged for anything. I took my Dane in from a expensive experience at a 24 hospital that obviously I was charged alot.My Danes recheck went to painless due to his private area was bleeding. I was reassured it would heal it would take some time. I felt more comfortable with Alvarados diagnosis than the hospitals care that my big guy received.

Drove an hour to have my chicken seen because no one in my area treats poultry. Waited an hour and a half and still wasn’t called to a room. Had to leave to pick my son up from school. Might be good for someone whose pet isn’t dying or that needs immediate medical attention. The front desk staff doesn’t care, they’re just herding in/out.UPDATE: I arrived at the vet @ 1:40. The staff called me at 3:48 to let me know they could now see my pet. The chicken is almost dead at this point.

Since my dog was in an emergency situation, our regular vet sent us to Alverado Vet Clinic. The wait wasn't that long, the staff was super nice and professional. The Vet was incredible! She did x-rays, gave our dog fluids and an injection. She sent us home with two prescriptions. And our little love is all better!

Is hard to find a good vet. This place is kind and compassionate and reviews all the options for your furr babies when they are sick or hurting. Is only vet I will go to for all my pups.

Dr.Garrett is a literal rockstar! I’ve used him for years especially when it comes to breeding my mares. He has always done his best and takes care of my horses! I could never imagine using another doctor. Big shout out and thank you again to Dr.Garrett!

The most reliable animal clinic in the DFW area. I first found them, after calling multiple clinics told me I needed to go to Alvarado for what I needed with one of my cows. They were knowledge able, informative, and extremely helpful across the board. The second time I called to get a litter of puppies checked. I couldn’t find another clinic to help with what I needed, or they were completely booked. I called Alvarado Veterinary clinic. I was told their schedule was full but they accepted walk ins, with the walk in times. I showed up at 8 and was getting taken care of by 8:10. I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with this clinic and will definitely come. The 40 min drive is more than worth it.

Last week we took my Nero to get checked, found out he had lung cancer. It was not the news we expected.I’m thankful to the doctor that gave us medication to help him. We were told he had a month to live but the quality of life during this time would br something to consider.With the medication given to Nero I was able to travel back home and give my baby boy a proper send off.Nero was laid to rest on August 12,2023, his final days were good ones.Thank you for given him the medication he was able to enjoy his final days surrounded with love of his family and friends.

I have used their clinic before with mediocre results. Yes the wait time is very long, but they tell you that upfront. The treatment I was given for my three pets were ineffective. That was disappointing, but yet I was not surprised because I have not had any success with other medications in regards to their issues. So I chalked it up to bad luck and more money wasted.However there is no excuse for this concern. I have called their office three times on three different days at different times JUST to get an ESTIMATE for the price of a test done on my dog. I have been told that my message is "on the board" just waiting for a dr. to look at it and give me a call back. My first call was on January 24, 2024 and today is February 1, 2024 and I still have not heard back. Also, if you go on their website and look at their reviews, it's all 5 stars. This says "negative reviews removed" all over, to me. Also I suggest going to Yelp to see a more accurate star rating.

A new female Japanese Chin came into our family. She’s two years of age. We named her Miko. She recently stopped being “in heat” a few months prior. We had to get her spayed before her next “in heat” cycle.We compared many vets for scheduling and price. In the end, we settled on the Alvarado Veterinary Clinic.It was a 30-minute drive from Mansfield. But the drive is pleasant. Traffic is light. The scenic countryside is relaxing. Not a bad trip.The clinic will do Miko's surgery at 8:00 a.m. That’s when the clinic opens. The check-in was efficient. We waited for 15 minutes in the waiting area. Then a vet measured her weight. She took Miko for surgery. Miko would stay overnight.We picked her up the next day. Miko acted as if nothing happened to her! A vet would need to remove her stitches after a week. No need for an appointment. Her stitches were tiny.For the entire week, Miko behaved like her normal self. I wish I was like her after my surgery.We returned to remove her stitches. We requested a rabies shot for Miko. The entire process only took ten minutes.This was the second time we used the Alvarado Clinic. The first time was for our oldest dog who has passed. Our experience was positive on both occasions.

It has been the best veteran clinic that I have ever experienced. For starters Dr Rainey saved our coydog Alice 13yrs ago when she was a little puppy. We just had to have her put down due to a bleeding internal tumor.It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The entire staff at the Alvarado Vet. made the experience tolerable with genuine concern and sympathy.

The wait today was awful, but it is worth all the time waiting to have these amazing people care for my pet the way I do. All of the staff and doctors here are so kind and really care for every pet that walks through their doors. They were very overwhelmed with the number of people today, and I could tell they were exhausted, but they didn't let that stop them from giving 100% to every pet there. They helped treat my dog for seizures and helped me with many other pets in the past, even helping when some crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

I've taken my dog here a few times. The first was after I went somewhere else and was quoted over 10k for my dogs surgery. Another 3k for recovery stay. I went to Alvarado and they were amazing. Insanely nice and professional. I will only be going to this vet from now on. I can see why they are so busy. This place is the place to take the animal you car about.

I’ve never heard on had a single negative comment. All the vets I’ve met this far have been friendly and caring. Our toughest visit was putting our beloved Blue down and if it weren’t for the awesome and caring vet we saw that day, I don’t think I could have been content with the decision we had to make. He wasn’t concerned about $, it was the health of our dog and the right decision we need to make. Thank you all!!

It is a walk in clinic so you may have to wait a little, but the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The doctors are straight to the point, no up-selling or trying to convince you that you need stuff that you don’t! Very very professional, you can tell they all care about animals and know what they are doing. The price was also really good!

Took a sick puppy to be checked for parvo and intestinal parasites. Both test come back negative. 4 hour’s later he passed a whole mess of round worms. Negative huh? In not as confident in there work anymore. That was Friday past. he isn’t much better this Monday night but have started deworming no thanks to them

This Vet clinic is the best!!! I have searched the world over trying to get my dogs nails cut because she is a pitbull (extremely strong) and shes so afraid of Vets she gets aggressive. I always hated having her sedated just for a 3 minute nail trim, tried the Gabapentin/Trazodone/Melatonin to do her nails myself at home but the meds had opposite effects and made her paranoid, scared, restless, even scared of me. You cannot imagine the living hell I've been going thru EVERY MONTH trying to figure all this out and the trauma to me, to her etc. Horrible!!!!FINALLY, I called a Vet clinic (Alvarado) that didn't tell me "we can try but can't guarantee anything)!!!!! When I called Alvarado Veterinarian Clinic on Hwy 67, they said "yes, of course we can do it" I was like "Really?? I mean really????" She said "yes and you don't need an appointment just come on Tuesday or Wednesday for new patient registration" I swear I thought I was dreaming!!!! Heaven on earth. You may laugh and say that's over the top over a nail trim but you have no idea unless you know what I'm talking about. If you know, you know and if you don't then shut the heck up!!!When I got to the clinic with Bella, I was able to leave her in the car while I went in and filled out very quick paperwork, then was able to wait IN the car with Bella and they called me when they were ready for her, they came outside to greet/help us before I could even get out of the car, then I said "I probably need to muzzle her" the young lady said "no ma'am we got her" I was like "are you serious" she said "yes ma'am". Then I went back out to the car and maybe 4 minutes later they came walking out with Bella and I jumped out of my car and said "is everything ok" she said "oh yes ma'am we're done" and I got Bella in the car and went in and paid. I WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER THAT PAYING!!!! Because it was merely pocket change!!! This crew is the bomb!!!! I love them!!! They are like saviors and you really have no idea how much it helped me and to know I have a resolution finally for our once a month need!!! Plus ALL of her medical needs from this day forward!!!I know for a fact these Vets have been in business for years!!! They could not find me in the system but it was many many years ago when I contacted this Veterinarian clinic about a puppy out in the country that looked like it had been hit by a car but was still barely alive. I went nuts and made my boyfriend take the litter puppy and put it on Alvarado Veterinarians porch. Then I called their after-hours number and the dear Veterinarian said he'd go down right away and see if he could save the puppy. It was only about 30 minutes later he called me back and said "I'm sorry but Little didn't make it" Yes!! That's how he addressed the little thing!! Called it "little". Soooo sweet. He said he was too far gone but they put the little thing down so he wouldn't suffer no more. Mind you this was all in the middle of the night while they were closed!!! So I said " thank you, thank you so much, what do I owe you?" He said "nothing". He knew it was not my puppy but just one I found injured somewhere and therefore didn't charge me anything.Anyway, back to my vet-aggresive little girl and her nails.... Listen, these folks know their business and are Saints to me!! Every person that works there has my utmost trust and respect. Can't say enough good things. They know what they are doing and they are extremely popular!!!!Thank you Alvarado Veterinarians and staff for the hard work and dedication!!!!
