UPDATE 09/2023 appointment: I scheduled a second grooming appointment at the same Petbar and requested the same groomer. I show up a week later for the appointment to find the groomer I requested was not there. They did not let me know at any time the whole week prior that I would not receive what was requested. I was assured this new groomer would do fantastic. She was very much in his face and he was extremely nervous with her. This was not displayed with the previous loving groomer before. I showed her his photo on their wall for a reference on the cut. I returned 2 hours later to pick him up and found his cut was done horribly. She removed all hair under his mouth, the whole face shaped like an arrow. He had one ear much longer than the other and his hair all over was very choppy. All of this WITH A PHOTO on their own wall as a reference. I was then told that he bit her with a serious attitude. I explained to her she was warned when I saw her initial engagement because he was nervous. She dismissed what I said completely. I will not return after this second experience. Disappointing to say the least. Photos for this visit are marked "2nd" for reference.07/2023 appointment: Never before have I used Petbar and we have been missing an experience. Best grooming my Maltese/Havanese has ever had....and he's 11 years old. He was very happy when I picked him up, not anxious or upset like he is at other places. Carolyna was great, listened to my requests and did an amazing job. He is strutting around like he is so proud. LOVE THIS PLACE!Here is a before photo and 2 after. He hates his picture taken but he sure is smiling. :)

Had such a lovely experience! I had accidentally come the day before my appointment thinking it was the correct day and they worked me in! (Never expect any business to do that so I’m very grateful.) We ended up talking about it and having a laugh when we realized. They have a texting service to let you know when your pet is done which I love! They took a picture of how much deshedding they did on my dog and sent me over the picture! The receptionist and groomer were both really lovely!

This place is a life saver! We picked up our dog from boarding after being out of town for a few days. Our pup was stinky but we did not have any energy to deal with washing him at home. We walked right into Petbar and bathed our dog. No appointment necessary. You can stand up comfortably and get the washing done quickly. Then over to the drying table. No more painful and uncomfortable bending over into our bathtub, chasing our pup around, and cleaning up a wet bathroom. They have everything you need. You do not have to take anything. Also, a good price. The staff was friendly. Collin was nice, enthusiastic, and informative. This will be our self washing spot from now on.

Very impressed by the self service wash option. It was clean and very user friendly. Washing station was great. Dryers were strong compared to other dog self washes I have been to. I loved how there were many different stations and you didn’t feel rushed.

I came in this afternoon after discovering that my normal self service dog wash spot had significantly raised their prices and had no hot water.  This was my dog's first bath after major leg surgery last month, and I was super nervous about it, especially since we ended up unexpectedly having to try someplace new.I didn't need to be!  I didn't catch her name, but the woman working the front desk was so super sweet and helpful.  She got us all set up, showed me how everything worked (twice because I immediately forgot after she walked away the first time), and offered to help if I needed anything.  A couple of minutes after I started my bath, she realized the drying cubby she'd shown us didn't have a table that lowered and it might be hard for me to get my 75lb, post-surgery dog on and off.  She popped back over to point out a different one that did have an adjustable table, and offered to help move her if I needed it.  Super thoughtful!The price was reasonable, the self-serve area is sparkling clean and has everything you could need, and overall it was a much better experience than what we're used to.  We'll definitely be back!

I took my cocker here after trying 6 other grooming establishments and I think I finally found my place!!!!Ashly groomed her just as I asked her to. The price is reasonable, they only had her 2.5 hours and my cocker was happy when I picked her up which tells me they were gentle with her. Strongly recommend. Thank u!

This is my first time at Petbar and it has met my expectations. Carolyna did such a great job on my mini golden doodle and really listened to what I wanted. The boutique was clean and welcoming. Customer service was great. I liked the flexibility to book appointments online and receive appointment confirmations/reminders via email and text. Depending on the services that you need and your dog size, the bill can add up but you get a happy and polished dog. I will definitely be bringing my baby back.

I was very anxious about this place only because I took my spaniel to petco for a grooming session and he was kept in a kennel for 8 hours! This place is nothing like thay. They were kind, helpful, and quick! My dog looked amazing and not stressed at all. They fixed his botched haircut my family gave him and made him look amazing. They are so efficient and thoughtful of your baby's needs. I highly recommend booking an appointment! They ask you exactly what you want and give tips too! I'll be back again soon.

My labradoodle got his worst ever grooming experience yesterday! I had an appointment on 11am and checked in on time. That was the second time I used their service and the previous groomer did a good job grooming my dog. But she’s not working at the store right now. The staff promised me their groomers are experienced with doodles. So I made my appointment. When I checked in, the receptionist said it would take about 2 hours to complete which I thought it might be unrealistic based on my experience and I assured her it’s okay to take a little bit longer. It’s ended up I had to call in at 3:30pm and 5:10pm to ask if he’s ready for pickup. When I finally got there to pick up my dog I can’t believe my eyes. They totally ignored my instructions and basically just unevenly shaved him! I have to let the groomer do some touch up immediately but still the whole process is terribly unprofessional. Absolutely they didn’t know what they were doing. The receptionist said they were busy because of the staffing shortage at that day. But that should not be an excuse for bad customer experiences. If you cannot serve that many customers then you shouldn’t have taken that much appointments. And the most important, you shouldn’t lower your working standards if you have any. At the end, I still tipped the groomer to show my kindness after a long day she had. But as a Petbar customer I was extremely unsatisfied with the services!

Always friendly. Always does a good job. If I have had any issues with styling, they’ve always fixed on the next visit. The wash membership is a great value. It’s easy to book online. My dog gets nervous when I leave her, but the staff always seem so taken with her, I believe my dog feels safe.

First time using self service dog wash here.. Staff super friendly and helpful, facility clean, all the needs provided .. towels, shampoo, brushes etc.. cost reasonable, the tubs are a bit narrow for a large dog so it does make it a bit hard to wash a big pup.. but I would recommend this spot for sure and I will bring my big pup here again😊

I have an older big dog who can’t be on a slick table to get her nails clipped. They were great and got on the ground to clip and grind her nails. It was a great experience and I have a new place for her pedicures!

We were very pleased with tangos groom today! Carmen did a great job understanding what I was looking for when I wasn’t very sure myself. We got an appointment next day which was awesome, they got us in early for his appointment, and completed his groom/cut/bath quickly. He looks and smells great. We will be back.

Today was my first visit to this location, and I had a great experience! I brought both of my dogs and used the self service wash, and one of the bathers dremeled my dogs' nails as well. The set up was very convenient, and the entire staff was incredibly helpful! I know both of my dogs are terrible for nail trims and gave the poor girl a hard time, but she still did a fantastic job. I will absolutely be returning soon.

I had the BEST service here. I have gone to several places to get my cats nails trimmed. The woman working today around 2 pm ( I wish I remembered her name) was absolutely so profesional and confident in her skills. They took care of my baby quickly and skillfully. I could not have asked for a better experience or a more knowledgeable groomer to work with.

What a great experience at Petbar! We have a large, very fluffy dog that was overdue for her spring cut. We recently moved to Allen, so have been in the market for a new dog grooming solution that wouldn’t break the bank. Petbar was awesome! I love that you make an appointment and come get your pup right after they text you that they are done. I even totally whiffed and forgot our appointment, and thankfully they were able to accommodate my late arrival. My pup has never looked better! Awesome job and we will for sure be back.

I’ve brought my dog here for baths before and she has done well, so I thought I would try the self service wash. It was literally a mess. There were so many times I had to ask questions because I wasn’t shown how to do things. This was a miserable experience for both me and my dog. No one showed me how to use the dryer, I had no idea what I was doing. My dog went home sopping wet because I finally just gave up. They tried to offer towels and some help but I had already been there for way too long and it was a little late for that. There also weren’t any toothbrushes or some of the other things they mentioned online. I sadly will be finding somewhere new to go.Edit: The manager called me and was very nice and apologetic, even offering me a refund. Adding a star for that. Still a little hesitant to come back but I really appreciated her call and refund offer!

I took my dog to Petbar for the first time yesterday. He had a wash only. He has longer hair but had no mates when I look him in. When I picked him up his entire right side had about 7-10 large mates. My dog is 3 years old and I have taken him to get groomed every other week since I had him. He never looked so bad. I am still getting the mates out of his hair and huge chunks of hair are coming out. The staff offered half off my next appointment and I said I am never going back. I also think they hurt him when they were grooming him because he doesn’t want to be brushed out. Warning to pet owners to stead clear.

Petbar blows all competition out of the water. I travel for work with my dog, and we frequent self-service dog wash and groomers all over the country. We came across this place last year when we were in town and am extremely grateful, we did! The staff and ownership are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities are not only top notch but maintained and always clean. I rarely leave reviews anywhere I go but this place really did impress me enough to where I felt I needed to share with anyone who might be looking for a groomer or self service dog was in the area. Hands down the best place to take your dogs to get all cleaned up.
