It's amazing how they never give you what you want. They only tell you they have what they want to give you. But they don't tell you that till after you pay. Kind of sad never going back. The manager with long hair super cool guy the rest really poor service. Crappy part is they had given me my drink then after I asked for my money back they actually took the drink from me... never mind the inconvenience. 😏😫😫

I love Golden chick, the food is excellent, it never disappoints however my last experience is worthy of a review to write about. My wife and kids and I arrived at this location at 10:37pm as you can see on the receipt. Our order took very long. Granted, I understood that they probably didn't have enough tenders for my order, but we waited patiently. My order came out at 10:50pm but it was all bagged to go. My wife asked for plates and they said they couldn't give it to us because the diner was closed. We were never told this when we arrived. This location has an outdoor eating area and asked the manager, a lady with dark frame glasses and tattooed arms if my family and I could eat outside and we would make sure not to leave a mess. The manager was not very empathetic and was very blunt saying that we could but once the crew was done cleaning, we would have to leave, that we couldn't stay due to the alarm. (Even though the outside area doesn't seem to have anything that might trigger an alarm.) Other dining locations always have the courtesy of letting you eat as long as you go in within diner hours. Upper management should add what time their diner is closed, or something that says only to go after such and such time, maybe saying diner closed at 10:30 pm so that way only drive thru is open. This occasion was a course one of those where they didn't want to deal with the customer because manager in duty wanted to leave early. I will be sharing this experience with other civil servants that I work with that come to this location so that they don't have to end up eating their order in the car, which is what the cashier suggested. Note: I live far away so if I would take it home we would've end up eating cold food.

Man do I break my diet rules when I eat Golden Chicken. They have the crispiest chicken around here, and it's always juicy and tender. I think they marinate it in buttermilk. They give out Texas Pete hot sauce if you ask, and these packets of dry rub you can sprinkle on,Real Good Stuff!! We used the coupon that's on the back of the H.E.B receipt for an eigh piecet for 9.99 saved a couple of bucks. Well worth it, plus you can get It roasted half fried if you want, and they have plenty of sides to choose from.

What is the rule for SPICY chicken? Asking, cuz I had church's yesterday and you can SEE the spice beneath the crust. I ordered strips from GC and it appears ANY strips can become SPICY. Just powder the hell out of it with either paprika/ cayenne or both! The strips taste GOOD, but their method of adding heat can be unpalatable. Dry powder in the back of your throat not good.

The food was good, my only complaint there was that we had a lot of small tender pieces. Service was not too good. Staff wasn't very welcoming at all. We asked for plates and spoons when we placed the order, and when we opened up our order, it was not included not even napkins which I didn't think to ask for because that's something normally included when we order. Overall, we enjoy Golden Chick, but this wasn't a very good experience for us.

The chicken was good, but the bread was flat. When we asked the guy working there. I believe he was the leader or manager he said that was all he could do. He had a bit sarcastic about the things there. I asked if the egg machine worked because my daughter wanted to play. And he said usually when the light is off things don't work. And this was our 1st time there mind you. I just feel he needs a bit more Customer service training or refreshing.

I have always been satisfied with Golden Chick but lately I've been going more often because of cravings and they have been messsing up. They have been forgetting to put the honey mustard on the side or in my sandwich and usually I order an extra yeast roll and they've forgotten to put it like twice already and today this is the macaroni that they gave me.

Love their Chicken, need to keep stock in caps and also a little cleaner in the fountain drinks area. Lady in charge, don't know her name but had an attitude 😏 😒 problem with the man in front of me. He asks her for plates it was for more than 2 people she gave him a small cardboard plate . So he ask for another kind and she rolled her eyes. I don't know what issue was going on between them, but if she was a supervisor, she conducted herself very unprofessional. My food was excellent as always but to me customers don't need to see that. All she had to do is give him plates. Other than that I enjoy the people that work there, polite and attentive. I usually don't get off my vehicle but the Line was long and I thought it would be easier. Nope it wasn't.

Let me preface this comment with this: When the food is properly prepared it is great. However, at this location I have ran into this issue multiple times and have just about had it. There is no way this is a satisfactory chicken tender. Additionally, I don’t know how many times I have specifically asked for zing sauce and instead receive gravy. The person taking orders NEVER repeats back the order, either gross negligence or a clear example of extreme incompetence. Hire workers who do their job correctly. This is ridiculous. Will NOT be dining at this location ever again.

The chicken was delicious. So moist. The roll was warm and sweet. The macaroni was creamy and the green beans were so crisp. I purchased a new Golden Chick doll and a gorgeous drinking container.

It could not have been better. There was a special event for our group and we decided to order the main course, fried chicken from Golden Chick. The employees couldn't have been nicer, even when we needed to increase the order the morning of the event. All the members who attended asked about the chicken as it is great, delicious, not too spicy. I am sure there will be new customers after our event. It has to be the best fried chicken from a fast food restaurant. A great experience and great food. Highly recommended!!!!

Ordered a meal with 2 large family sides....was almost 50 dollars which is fine....received my order. When I arrived home and opened the bag it was missing 2 items. I called and they said yes we have the stuff here please come back. I went back and the same girl that took my order in the drive through was the one who came to the front counter....I explained to her what happened even though I had already spoken to someone else. They gave me the missing items but the way she was talking to me seemed a bit condescending.....every word that came out of her mouth had a snarky tone....i didn't say anything, when she handed me my items that I PAID for she said sorry have a nice day with the same snarky condescending tone. Almost as if she didn't believe me when i said that the items where missing. When she's the one that gave me the order at the window to begin with.

Ive been coming here ever since this place opened and when no one reallly came. Today I had one of those self entiteld workers...u know the generation. I had to repeat the order on 3 times till she got it right. Btw before you jump on it...no she wasnt new. Before that I was waiting while some other self entitled person took forever to place an order. Think the self entitled worker told her she had other customers to attend....nope....but when she called me "fisty"...in an effort to futher escalate the situation. I called her out on it...but of course she wanted to have the last word and thats when she said " I have other customers".Oh but she wasnt done..she purposely puts the order to go. Which means people who may or may not wear gloves have to take it out and put it on a plate...The guy then says..do you need anything else..and i say yes...an apology.Do i get it..no..So whats a customer to do..well not go there no more and invite others to post on this platform so that other customers dont go through the same thing.I love the chicken...but we don't need the side of shade or attitude. I DONT SEE THAT ON THE MENU..

Edit: curbside orders are ignored. I've called the number 4 times and the line never gets picked up. Food is good but service went down really quickly. Disappointing. Our orders have still been correct but this location really needs to work on their customer service and management. There used to be a man working at this location that always seemed really helpful but haven't seen him lately.Lunch is slow but staff is really nice. Ordering ahead helps. Overall I do really like this location, food has always been good so far and our orders have yet to be incorrect.
