Went in to find items for a client's pets. Shelves were bare. Idk but this place is definitely not how it was from the previous owners. The things I did find were priced high. The staff looked bored. The guy did acknowledge me when I entered and they did tell me that was all to choose from. But then I came here reading the reviews and it's sad. I took my business elsewhere and was able to locate the items I needed. So that's my experience. I don't know how much longer this place will last.

Customer service is terrible. I always feel like I am inconveniencing the staff when I'm there. They don't keep readily stocked items. Left my number with them three times for a notification of restock and never received a call. Spend your money at Russell Feed. Better experience by far.

Don’t waste your time here. Tried to tell me they couldn’t groom my dog because of possible infection (after vet already gave consent to be groomed and assured no infection) but groomer told me they couldn’t touch scissors to a “possible infection” or they would have to throw their scissors away. The biggest lie I’ve ever heard. Metal scissors can’t be sanitized or they would have to be thrown away. Yikes the brains….. they think they know more than a vet but can’t sanitize scissors. Use at your own risk

Our ACD Maggie (Miss Maggie Moon pie) did really well at her first obedience class. We met so many friendly dogs, which is helping her understand not all dogs are mean . The staff was great at helping us fit her pinch collar and thunder shirt perfectly for us. Friendly staff, clean and professional environment. She is doing great at home leash training. See ya'll Friday :) 🐾

Been shopping here for years. This place was great under the previous ownership. If you are going to hire young people to work for you then you have to put good mentors with them or face the consequences of lost business. On numerous occasions I came in to simply buy dog food and the staff was very rude. Somehow I was interrupting their day having to ring up the purchase. Horrible customer service with no knowledge of products. I love supporting local businesses but in this case I’ll avoid shopping here.

If I could leave -10 stars review I would my mother and I took her collie into the self grooming wash and halfway through the bath they told us to leave because he's a large dog and they won't let us blow dry him because there's too much hair even though she has offered every time to clean up after she's done they refused and tell her no but when we're halfway through the wash and she still has shampoo all over the dog we are asked to leave. They saw the dog when we brought him in and nothing was said until we were washing him. Horrible customer service will not be back ever!!!

It was a unique experience, I felt like a foreigner in a strange land. As though I was interrupting their conversation when I came in to ask about grooming. The young lady was helpful, but when I returned to pick up my furbaby, the young man had no idea what to do, and the MOD was not very helpful. I got the distinct feeling they did not want to be there or interact with customers. On a side note, the Groomer was very polite. Although he looked good, my furbaby had a severe case of anxiety when I picked him up, which does not generally happen.

We boarded our dog for a week here, everything worked seamlessly with drop off and pick up. The staff was great!We were glad to see that pets west started grooming dogs as most in the area were booked up.We we brought our dog back to get a haircut and we noticed he was happy to be back at Pet’s West.Kim was nice and did a great job grooming our dog.The best part was that he was happy when we picked him up. Normally, he isn’t as upbeat after he gets groomed.Overall, great experience! We plan to come back next time.

We stopped today to wash our 2 golden doodles en route to Florida from California.The staff is simply awesome! Everyone was extremely friendly. The whole store is stocked well and very organized.We had to wait about a half an hour for the wash to open up, and they made sure we were comfortable until it was our turn.If you've got a dog, stop here. If your dog loves the mud/crud, stop here and spruce them up!5 stars isn't enough for these folks! Thanks again for the hospitality!

Great experience here. Came looking for reptile bedding and I got an amazing deal and they gave us a bag of free Doggy treats. Colton was super helpful and he carried it to my car. I highly recommend!

I would not trust them to care for my dog again. Brought my dog in for boarding for two nights and provided his food for the time he would be there. Picked him up after his stay and was charged for 4 nights of boarding and they returned all but one pouch of fresh food which meant he wasn’t feed or wasn’t feed his own food. The employees didn’t have any idea if he had been feed and no records are kept. They assured me he had been feed house food but since no record is kept then how would they know. Called the owner and he refused to talk to me and had one of his employees call to provide a solution. Being a self employed person myself I don’t understand an owner not taking care of your customers.

Called for an appointment to get my 60 lb dog bathed. Bath and deshedding and no nail trim. Was told the price would be $35-40 and it would be about 30-45 minutes with an 8 a.m appointment. Arrived just before 8 but it was after 8 when I left. The groomer had not arrived. Went back about 9:15 as I was in the area and was told it would be another 45 minutes. Arrived back at 10:15 without getting a phone call. The dog was finished but the cost was $64.95. Will not be returning for grooming and perhaps not for any reason. Wanted to support local but will have to find someone else local to support. Just wanted to try them out since the groomer we usually use is not as conveniently located. Will be returning to the previous groomer even though they are farther away.

Brought my dog here to get groomed for an 8am appointment. While I was filling out paperwork they brought my dog back into the grooming area, and then after I asked to see where she would be. When I turned the corner I could see my dog physically trembling because a GOAT was staring at her inches from her cage. Not sure why a goat with horns is allowed to be in the grooming area. I stayed in the parking lot until 9am and then walked in to check the progress, and she had only been bathed at that point and was being dried by a box fan being pointed into her cage. The entire grooming took 2 and a half hours and for sure could’ve been done faster. I was told it would be around $80-$100. The total price ended up being $130. So be prepared to pay more than they estimate. Would not recommend.

DO NOT waste your money getting your dog groomed here. We thought we would try it out since it’s closer to our house than our other groomer. Big mistake. Groomer butchered our dogs haircut. The owner was unapologetic and justified the poor job by saying everywhere else is booked so we were lucky to get the appointment. Let me assure you there’s a reason they aren’t booked!

Pets West is a wonderful establishment. They offer great products at reasonable prices. They have a training area and actually have professional trainers come in a few times a week to do classes for dogs. The staff is highly knowledgeable, always willing to help and available if you need them. The owner, Shawn, is a wonderful man and truly cares for the customers. I go in at least 3 - 4 times per month. This place deserves more than 5 stars.

I met someone from Whole Foods who was raving about Pets West. So I went up there and it’s stocked so well, super clean and the staff was more than willing to help and walk me through finding a good dog food for my Goldendoodle! She has a sensitive tummy since being sick, and they walked me through what can help her tummy get back on track! Love this place

Outstanding store for all things dogs. Staff actually knows more about food than anyone I have found. Training class was great and I'm signed up for the next level. Training room is huge and well equipped. The trainer is something like AKC judge and has dogs that have shown at Westminister. Not your average pet store at all. Did I mention that staff carries my food to my car? Yes. This is THE PLACE for all things dog and service.

Such a great place! Friendly staff, wide variety of supplies but not overwhelming either. I had very specific questions about different types of foods and the staff answered my questions 1000%. No pushy sales tactics just honest salt of the earth people. I’m so happy this type of quality pet store is in my area!!!! I will definitely be returning, probably a little too often;)

Left our dog here for a week, when we picked him up we noticed his food & water bowls were completely empty and dry! When we took him home he was not acting himself and it even looks as though he has lost weight. He normally has a fluffy tail and no longer has hair on his tail could have been hair loss from stress or possibly bit off from other dogs staying there. We are completely disappointed and will not be returning.

We recently boarded our German shepherds at PetsWest Aledo, and we could not be happier. We have struggled for years to find a place that could handle our oldest boy shepherd. He isn’t the most friendly with people that aren’t us and the staff at PetsWest were incredibly patient with Major and worked to gain his trust. I called every day to check on them and each time I got a detailed report about how they were doing and I never felt like they were annoyed or frustrated with our high maintenance dogs. We will only board at this facility from now on and we are so appreciative of them!

Very impressed with the selection of food, supplements, toys & accessories for your pet.Have been taking the Puppy Kindergarten class with my Mini Australian Shepard. Very pleased with how the class is run & space available for training. Candice is a great instructor. I will be continuting on with my Aussie and progress to next levels.I truly believe Everyone (pet & person) can benefit from the classes. I have recommended to many!

The owner is a great person. I had been trying to find pig ears for my 9 month old German shepherd/Great Dane, Jackson, for 3 weeks unsuccessfully until i found Pets West. He provided me with a box of 50! Talk about Jackson being in hog heaven!!! Plus it saves my furniture from being chewed up!I also found a new dog food and cat food which is more nutritious than what the had been eating. ALL IS WELL!!!
