If I could give a higher review I definitely would. We did the VIP tour today, our guide was Mike and what a pleasure this was! The animals are breathtaking, happy, well cared for, well loved, and uniquely named. The grounds are beautiful, clean and inviting. A little pricey, but once you're there you realize why. Mike our guide, was not only "The smartest guy I ever met, (self proclaimed), in a loving manner but also pretty accurate! He was also so genuine, and pretty darn funny! Just a good ole country guy who loves his career! Thank you Southland, your Safari has been the best we have been to!! We'll be back to stay at your campground soon!Carrie and Amy McQuiston ♥️

We stayed in the flamingo cabin for 2 nights this past weekend. We loved the animal petting area and I think fed them all 5 big buckets of feed (3 separate sessions) - my daughter did not want to leave them. More feed kept appearing as if by magic (I did request one lot by text). The cabins are beautiful, so well made of a gorgeous wood. A microwave and fridge was all we needed for a 2 night stay. We took on board what was said in our instructions email about it essentially being camping and brought everything else we needed. Clean bedding and towels were provided. The cabin decor was tastefully done and a very helpful welcome pack was provided. It was a fantastic stay in a wonderful location and my daughter has said she wants to come back every year.

This place is AWESOME! We enjoyed every single thing about it!!! We have been to a lot of different petting zoos and safari’s but this one is my favorite by far!!!The tour was great and our guide Mike was so funny and answered all our questions! It’s great to not have to drive your car either …They have a big safari truck that has great seats and stops and allows us to feed everything …There is endless amounts of food on the tour and on each encounter at no extra charge!!! We did the giraffe, kangaroos and sloth encounters and WE LOVED IT ALL!!! We fed the giraffes and kangaroos and got to pet them and get plenty of photos with them!!! The sloth encounter was amazing! I got to pet and get pictures with two sloths!Tosha was who I called and made the reservation with and she was super sweet and helpful. And when we arrived Tosha and our guide, Mike, was so welcoming to me and my husband. You feel like you have known the staff forever and are old friends!!!Everything was so neat and clean in the restroom and gift shop and the grounds of this property were beautiful and kept up so nice! All animals look happy and healthy and excited to see us! It was a wonderful over all experience!!! And the price I feel was perfect for all you get to experience and do!!!We hope to come back and stay over night in a cute cabin and do the tour and encounters all over again !!Highly recommend Southland Safari !!!

What a beautiful experience with the most passionate and dedicated employees in this small town family owned business. This is a hidden gem in the middle of rural Tennessee. The cabins you can stay a night or two and relax and unwind and then take a tour on the open jeep with a very knowledgeable and fun guide. This was definitely a "bucket list" item with high expectations and they certainly lived up to it above and beyond. We will definitely spread the word and be back again someday. Thank you for your hospitality and helping us celebrate our wedding anniversary. Much success to you and your unique vision. Bravo for doing it with education and passion for the animals.

The tour was amazing.The animal encounters were so sweet, fun, and mind-blowing.The staff and tour guide were all the greatest, and so informative!!!!And the cabins/campground were perfect.Quite and cozy. Sooo clean. The petting zoo outside the Cabins was the best - my son LOVED being able to run out and feed them all so close! Hands down an amazing trip, and worth every penny!!We just left and were already talking about a trip back before we went to bed last night. My little boy said he wants to stay for 4 days next time! LolPlayground: Playground is small, being at the campgrounds, but it was perfect and plenty of space for the kids to run around!! My son played forever on the playground, but also was just as interested, if not moreso, in the animals at the fences he could go see and feed!Restrooms: The bathrooms were all extremely clean and spacious. Providing everything you'd need.Picnic area: The covered picnic tables was the perfect place for grilling out and eating in the shade. There's a huge fan to provide some air, which we definitely used last night. A fire pit with seats and grills were all provided as well.

The VIP tour was an amazing experience! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and kept us laughing. The animal encounters were incredible! The kids absolutely loved it. The Giraffe cabin was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We fed the animals, grilled steaks, fished, played corn hole and made s’mores. We made family memories that we will treasure always. The owners and Mr. Mike were so friendly and accommodating. We would love to go back again in the future!

DO IT! What an experience! I have been to many animal sanctuaries, drive thru parks, etc. in the U.S. and nothing compares to this one and it is because of the people and the true love they have for all the animals. They are 5 star from the moment you call to book your reservations. They do not rush you, answer all your questions and this continues throughout the event. We booked a VIP tour and stayed the night in the Wildebeast cabin. Emily was our tour guide and she didn't miss a beat. We learned all kinds of things about the animals, she didn't rush us through anything, we got to feed all kinds of animals and the food never ended, our Rhino experience with Benny was so much fun. We got to have our pictures taken with the kangaroos, giraffe and rhino. This was truly a bucket list adventure that I would recommend for people of all ages. The cabins are spotless, the feeding zoo area is right at the cabins and you are given plenty of food. There is nothing better than waking up and sitting on a swing with your cup of coffee and watching deer, lhama, alpacas and goats right in front of you. We will be back next year and plan on bringing friends.

Absolutely a wonderful experience unlike any other! Had a great time with my daughter. Very nice accommodations-really cute cabins, amazing tour and encounters. Very knowledgeable and hospitable staff. The encounters are so much fun! The entire trip was all about interacting with the animals which we loved. Well worth the money. Thank you for a great time!

Me and the wife stayed in the cabins and were able to feed the goats, llamas, and other animals that are fenced in on the grounds for no extra charge. We fished and hung out in the rocking chairs the whole night. Fantastic experience!

The perfect getaway. I highly recommend staying in the cabin the night before your tour! There’s a petting zoo where you can feed the animals (various types of deer, alpacas, emu, goats) and feed is left at your door with buckets for everyone staying! We loved being able to walk right up to the animals and see them anytime during our stay. There is also a pond to fish, stocked and waiting for you! Two wooden swings are perfect for the family to relax as they face the pond. There is a covered patio area with picnic tables and a storage box with corn hole. There’s also a two swings and a bathroom across from the covered area. The cabins are rather small, but for one night it was perfect for our family. We loved our stay and highly recommend this trip to everyone!

We spent this weekend in this wonderful place. We were so delighted with the cozy cabin, the opportunity to feed and pet the animals any time during the day, the endless feed refills, the above and beyond service. This family does an amazing job! You can tell this people love these creatures. The safari is a very unique experience, is not like other safaris, petting the sloth and kangaroos was a magical moment, interacting with the giraffe is such a fun moment of the tour. If there were 6 stars I would give it to this place. If you love animals, want stay in a cozy cabin, get outstanding service and experience a very unique safari, don’t think about it, this is your place.

We stayed in the cabins then went on the guided Safari.The cabins still look new, the grounds were clean, the animals at the camp ground were content, clean & there was plenty of food to feed the animals!I went fishing at the cabins & caught a 6+lbs catfish in the pond!The Safari was awesome! Plenty of food the entire time at no extra charge! The guide for the Safari is the smartest guy I have ever met 😉! He made the Safari tons of fun.My favorite part of the whole experience was seeing the animals that seem so relaxed and well taken care of! I would highly recommend this Safari.We have been to several of these, even one in Canada and this was the best, because of how happy the animals seem!Overall it was a good get-away weekend.

My husband really out did himself with this anniversary suprise! This tour was amazing! It was such a beautiful day and we enjoyed plenty of upclose encounters with adorable creatures. ❤️ Our tour guide Mike("the smartest man in the world" 😆) was friendly and informative about all the animals we saw today. Thank you so much for this experience! We will definitely be back when the rhino moves in. 🦏

The whole experience was great. We drove up (4hrs). The staff, Guide, and Driver (Tisha, Mike and Chris) were very entertaining, informative, and answered every question thrown at them, from the animals, the Park, to area eateries and more. The feed buckets were kept full to make sure guests stayed engaged with the animals.The cabin was small (looking), but spacious, and the kids loved the bunk beds. The bunnies...they should be on the payroll! They ran the girls silly, then double back, and get up close when not looking. The lake, the fire pit, for s' mores, priceless. Thank you for everything!

We loved our little charming Kangaroo cabin. It was neat and had the essential items that we needed. We liked how the cabins are spaced well from each other. The area just like the rest of the place was well kept. The best part was we got to feed the animals whenever we wanted to.

Customer service at its finest! We had such a great time here. Wonderful staff that didn’t rush our experience and genuinely cared if we had a good time. Cabin was spotless and the atmosphere there was so relaxing. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for dinner and then used our bucket of feed to give the petting zoo animals their bedtime snack. I just can’t say enough about how great this experience was. Thanks to Chris, Tosha, and Michael!

I would rate a 10 if I could. Love this place and the people. I would rather go here for a week than go to the beach. Cabins are so clean and cute. Plus you get to feed some adorable animals while your at the cabin. They treat you like family. It’s amazing I recommend everyone should go. The tour is awesome. You learn so much and are so close to the animals. This place beats the zoo any day for me. We are going back and can’t wait. Thank you southland safari for a wonderful adventure!

So clean and comfortable. Feeding the animals was a highlight for me. They give you buckets of food for feeding, so you can do that at any time during your stay. Quiet, secluded, it's everything I want in a cabin stay!

One of a kind experience! Not only did we get close to all the animals we learned the neatest things about each type. The animals at Southland Safari had their own personalities and that was displayed during our encounter as well as discussed during our tour. The gift shop was great! Giraffe and Kangaroo encounters are a must as you feel like one of their keepers for a little while!

This place is a hidden GEM!!! Chris and Tosha were so friendly and welcoming.We had the best time on our tour. We learned so much about the animals and they were so well taken care of, so healthy, and so loved. Every. Single. One. Tosha called them all by name (super cute names, I might add). ❤️ You can just tell this family is truly passionate about what they do. They are involved in so much more than what you see at the park. They are active in so many things that help these different species thrive.Their kids are so sweet. One of their daughters even helped with our tour. The grounds were FLAWLESS. It’s all about the experience and sharing what they love, not the financial gain.I have so much respect for the way they care for their animals. They do not overwhelm them with hundreds of people and unlimited feeding all day long. It’s very peaceful and group sizes are limited.I am just proud to have something so special in West Tennessee. The whole experience was AWESOME!!!. The staff makes you feel like family and are so knowledgeable. We learned so many interesting facts about the different animals. We really enjoyed getting to feed and pet the animals. The cabins are in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. They are absolutely adorable we hated to leave. Planning to visit again in about 3mo. Just a thought but a small outdoor wedding would be gorgeous at the campground!
