Only vet we've used besides PAWS. Had emergency and called before we drove there, to let them know. We were informed need money for visit, tests, exam, and anything extra would be due right then. No payment plans nor insurance accepted. No discounts. And the woman on the phone was giggling during the conversation.Found VETERINARY EMERGENCY CARE in Murfreesboro, a new place by the mall. When I called ahead, the young lady was so kind. They all just wanted us to get there asap. They sent a link to my cell phone, and we were pre-registered within minutes. Once there, they knew who we were, remembered the details, everyone was hands on, they came outside to carry our girl in, they were so gentle, and my girl was relaxing. Our girl had a badly fractured pelvis on 1 side and possibly both sides. They drained 650ml of urine. They sat with her in the floor. They carried her 80+ lbs everywhere. They read her a book. They offered us something to eat, snack on, and drink. They hugged me, calmed me, and reassured me that she would be well and all would be fine. They had several payment options, the best vets and techs I've ever met, very clean, open, and inviting. And they text me checking on her and answering my questions.The only downfall....... they don't have a regular clinic. But I thank God for them. They are genuine animal lovers with amazing talents.

1st visit: Took my dog's records with us to establish a file with the vet's office. Receptionist carries them around but never makes copies or a folder for my dogs. Dr. Tate asks about their immunization history, I explain that they have our medical records and he replies that he isn't going to take the time to look through the documentation we have provided.2nd visit: The receptionist gave bad information regarding immunization requirements and charges me for immunization that is not required. One vet calls the manufacturer and agreed she was wrong. Vet (Tate) then tries to say 6 months is better after the other vet just told me 1 year. Double talk. They relented and refunded me but what is she doing telling me something is required and she doesn't know the facts? She had me prepared to go get my other dog and take another unnecessary charge. My rabies receipt did not show how long the shot was good for. Very disappointing. Not going back.

Dr Smith and staff is amazing! I took my 7 week old puppy in for his first official vet appointment with me and she was so caring and loving to him. She was very informative and even when he got sick after hours she stayed to get him the shots! 10/10 Recommend.

Life saver. Saved my cat from bobcat fever, which is generally fatal. Has performed numerous other surgeries & stitches for us. Dr Tate has years and years worth of experience and worth every penny.

Dr Tate and his staff, are full of wisdom with their years of experience in treating animals, and running a Veterinarian office. Dr Tate will give it to u like it is, and not nickel and dime u to death. During the pandemic, his office staff ran like a well oiled machine.

I want to thank everyone at Dr Tate's office for taking great care of Jackson. He had eaten a rubber dog toy and had gotten really sick. Dr. Smith did the surgery and removed all the toy pieces. Everyone was so nice and caring. Thank you all so much for taking the time to figure out what was making him so sick. 🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️

Make sure you get price quotes in writing. I brought my cat in that was being treated for Bob cat fever . My normal vet was booked out so I brought our kitty here.I was told if he makes it 48 hrs it would be $250 and if he made it the full treatment it would be $450-$600. My cat died in the 48 hrs and the office manager was going to charge me $400. When I said what I was quoted she came out put my dead cat on the bench and started yelling at me . My son was with me when I dropped our cat off and heard the same regarding the prices. The office manager is very rude and unprofessional. Dr Tate was good to our kitty but I will be going to our normal vet from now on.

I got some great flea meds for my Maltese, Bella with great customer service! They even held it at the counter for me for my mom to pick up since I live in the next county over. I also have a scheduled spay for my cat looking forward to him being in great hands with Dr. Tate.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Tate!I am new to the area and to be greeted with care and attention for my dog is an enormous blessing especially during a time of stress for me and my family given the urgency of our dog’s need of care.I am so grateful for the lady on the phone who made scheduling easy and convenient, for the staff showing care and attention during check in and exam and I am exponentially grateful for Dr. Tate giving excellent care to my dog as well as treating me like a person (not just another number).

I live roughly 30-40 minutes from cannon county. Someone mentioned I take my cat to them, so I called them. They gave me a rough estimated quote and I went to them. The visit, surgery, and meds came out more than said quote and they kept the price at what they quoted me. I have to say Cannon County Animal Clinic saved my babies life! She was on the verge of death from an infection in her uterus. The vet was uncertain if she would make it or not. He did the best he could and never gave me false hope. He called me and updated me as he said he would multiple times. My kitty is thriving and full of life again!! Would definitely recommend them to absolutely anyone and will definitely use them in the future. Everyone of the staff I personally interacted with truly go above and beyond. They are hands down one of the best vets I've ever met and had experience with.

He was very knowledgeable and chose a conservative approach in order to be cost conscious. I received the exam and a steroid injection for less than what other places charge for just the exam. As it turns out, all the cat needed was the injection because there is no more coughing and no more hair loss.

When we had to put our 15 year old pit bull down, they were helpful and understanding that she is loved and would be missed. They let her go very gently. Dr. Tate explained every step to us. Thanks to Dr. Tate, Brandy, and the other staff members for making this time easy for us.

I enjoy the service/treatment we receive at doctor Tate's office. We have been going there since 2011 they are kind, affordable and trustworthy (as far as treatment goes).I haven't boarded my animals there in years. I wasn't happy with the last few boards and won't ever board with them again.I recommend Dr. Tate for your vetenarian needs/care. I recommend Rover.com for boarding

I can not explain the reliability I have had with this place. We have always taken our work dogs to Dr. Tate's office since 2010. They definitely know how to deal with high strung german shepherds and any breed. They will not break your wallet either.

Dr. Tate has always been honest and efficient and he doesn't beat around the bush in regards to what is or isnt wrong with my PuPs...... My 2 Labs have been going here for almost a decade. We have had a few surgeries on the older dog and I was pleased with the process. The place seems like it has more work than it may want at times But I've never seen them turn anyone away. I am very thankful for this VET being so close to my home and will continue bringing my Dogs here.

The more we see him, the more we love this vet. I just remembered I never issued a review. Great surgical vet, informative, convenient, AWESOME, and the rescue discount IS his regular pricing. Jody@Dove Road Sanctuary and Rutherford County Animal Group (UPDATE: Like for primary care on humans, if it is something real serious and potentially ongoing, for the benefit of your animal,, I'd highly recommend a second opinion- Dr Tate will refer, but I like to choose vets wisely, depending on situations and expertise of each vet. )
