Traveled from Texas to Nashville to meet my sister. Needed a basic place to stay the night on a budget. Looked for in between Nashville and Memphis, affordable and clean. Checked in after 3 on the way to Nashville to drop off our stuff. The lady at check in was nice. Got back around 1030. I laid down in my bed while my best friend took a shower. She got out and went to lay down on her bed and noticed something. Unfortunately, we quickly discovered it was a bed bug. Killed it and took a picture. I went up to the desk around 11 after getting dressed to show the lady. Showed her the picture and she looked at her computer confused and had a look that said "I can't help you" (she didn't say anything). I informed her that, at that point, we didn't feel comfortable staying to which her response was "I can't give you a refund." No apology, no here's who you can talk to, etc. Just "I can't give you a refund." We loaded the car, turned in room card and she did say "thank you". Things happen with hotels. The last visitor to that room may have left the bug. I don't know. But apologize or something. Who wants to sleep in the room after seeing a live bed bug. We ended up driving back to Texas, round-trip, getting us back home at 930am. We left Saturday morning at 7am so over 24 hours driving because our sleep budget was literally wasted. I've called Expedia where we booked and they have escalated my concern for a full refund. If I'm refunded, I'll gladly update the post to show they did what's right. I will say, had it not been for the bed bug, the bed was comfy and the pictures in listing were accurate as described. I did see a cereal breakfast but don't know what else is offered as we obviously weren't there to experience. The location was very convenient.Edit #1 in response to owner reply: thank you for your response. If our refund is processed (as it was not our intent not to stay) we will gladly give you another chance. I appreciate the professional and quick reply you gave, even on a Sunday.4/11/24 Spoke to manager today. He was highly concerned and referenced pest control coming out to inspect and treat. Said I would be getting a refund. I will confirm once recieved.4/15/2024 Final update: upped the service to 4 stars as I was issued a refund. Again, I don't blame the hotel for the original issue as it can happen anywhere and they were obviously highly upset and taking immediate action to correct. Thank you for addressing my concerns.

We definitely overpaid for this room. The room attendant was very nice but that was about the only good thing.Rooms: They were pretty run down and the non smoking room and holes in the covers.Food & drinks: I'm grateful for free breakfast, but it wasn't very good or very much.

We made this stop last minute on a road trip through. The location of the highway makes it a quick stop. If you need the quality of a high class hotel this may not be the place for you, we had been camping out of our car for 9 days and this was a treat to avoid the heat. The showers were hot with great water pressure. Low road notice from the highway. Taxes do make the stated price on the phone go up, so you may want to ask for the full cost prior to arrival. There is a gentle breakfast offered in the office in the morning, we coffee that’s good! This location seems family owned and run and you can tell they care.Rooms: Basic: phone, tv, lamps, showers, ect. You need to bring your own chargers as there is no usb ports. You drive right up to your room

Overall a bad review. The location of it away from the highway wasn't too bad and the room itself was spacious. The mattress seemed dirty when inspecting as I usually do in places, but no bugs. My problem comes to the fact that someone has used our credit card for their own purchases somehow this week. We only stayed 1 night because we were passing through and it was a safe area w good reviews. But having about $55 charged on Etsy with a card that hasn't been used aside staying there is really terrible. I'd honestly try to get our money back. Especially paying $90 something when online it showed around $85 w taxes when we looked it up on the drive.Don't stay here, find somewhere else. After driving damn near 900 miles to sleep on a brick and get money stolen it's not worth it.

It doesn't take much to impress me. Though dated, it was clean, inexpensive and free of insects which are three things in my favorite ballpark when it comes to hotels. Very easy access off of I-40 which is a major highway traveled which many will know as the "New Route 66". The very little bit of time I spent with the staff, they were very nice and I certainly recommend this little "break off the highway" lodging joint if you just need a night's rest. Mattresses were soft and even pillow layered. Sheets was solid clean and slept very well for my mid trip rest and relaxation.

Stayed here about a week ago we arrived at about 10 pm local time with my fiance and young son, got quoted on website a price after taxes than when we arrived was told there was more fees after that so total went from $84 up to $98 for a room that smelled of mold and mothballs, rooms are not well maintained, the beds are hard and lumpy and sheets and blankets on bed do not seem like they get changed. Left very early the next morning, about 3 hours after we checked out they charged us an extra $25 pet fee, after noticing the charge I called and was told following them rummaging through the trash barrel in the room and seeing hair in the garbage from my fiance's hairbrush they added the fee. Wouldn't recommend staying here

Was roadtripping and had to stop overnight in Tennessee. Perfect place to stop. Breakfast included! Beds comfy! TV worked nicely and shower was also good. Owners were very nice as well. Will be staying here again if in the area. Only thing I will say is it is slightly expensive for what it is offering.Rooms: Room was clean! Definitely some damage to corners of walls here and there but nothing to complain of. Bed was comfy as well. Shower was excellent as well.Nearby activities: Location is close to a McDonalds and 2 gas stations which is convenient and it's also close to the highway which is perfect for the next morning.

The lady that checked us in was very sweet and had us in quickly. The lot looks very nice and the rooms aren't bad for a night. The bed was a little stiff, but the sheets were clean and fresh. I didn't use the coffee pot because there was something grainy/gritty, and kinda oily in the bottom of it. The shower had nice hot water and great water pressure but the shower head could use a replacement. It looks like they recently remodeled the floors to the treated wood so that was nice. The A/C stayed cold despite being an older model. The bench and chair at the desk could use a steam. You can park close and keep an eye on your vehicle although the area seems pretty domestic. Not a bad place but they seem to be improving.

The office woman was outstanding! The grass field for my dog was also superb. The problem was that there are no curtains on the windows, just this paper thing. The room does not get dark. The flood lights and porch lights keep your room bright all night long. Then the heater smelled like mouse droppings when running so we had to shut that down, and when i used the bathroom in the middle of the night, bugs were scampering all around the floor. Otherwise, nice easy access and location. Great service by the front counter woman!!!!

We are traveling and needed an over night room. Our previous nights motel was not good and we decided to try a different motel chain. We are so happy we did!This hotel is well managed. Our room was clean, the shower had excellent water pressure and the AC was comfortable.Our room had 1 king bed, a cold fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a large wide screen TV. The large desk and arm chair for work was great and my hubby loved the over size club chair to lounge in.We highly recommend this Americas Best location right off off of RT 40.

Pros, truck parking, smoking rooms,fairly clean looking property, good water pressure,lady at check in was very nice, microwave fridge and coffee maker and ice machine. CONS, bed is wore out. I thought I was gonna sink to the floor. Ac is old. Controls were broke and not working properly with no way to cut it off other than unplugging it. Room 128. Everything looks outdated. Again the bed is shot and awful. Shower is small . Fridge wants to rock back and forth. Tv channels aren’t that great. Jeez , again, theses beds are just pathetic. My tail bone is actually sitting on the box springs. I’ve paid less and stayed in better. This is not a 93.00 dollar room. This is my fault for stopping here. ABV In Chillicothe Ohio had my expectations set high. 20 bucks cheaper with way better beds and tv channels and you don’t get black feet from the floor.Rooms: Needs a remodelNoteworthy details: Not worth the price

If you're in the area and needing a hotel this is where to go!!! Clean room, nice and kind staff, quiet area, great for the price.I'm a picky individual with cleanliness and surroundings. Needing an emergency stay. My husband, daughter and our family dog stayed for one night.The office clerk was nice about us seeing the room first. We ended up staying for 2 nights. I felt at peace here and with no worries of bugs dirty beds or area.Beds are comfortable, floors are tile wood which is a thumbs up and everything else is upgraded as best they can.Pictures are before leaving. Not as perfect as they had it when we arrived.Thank you !!!!!

I've stayed at this Motel many times on my way to the Carolinas. 1995, 2000, 2005, 2006, and 2010.I've never had a bad experience here. It's always been quiet, beds comfortable, and nice hot shower. There's a small variety of restaurants, and a cool gas station / gift shop across the street.This will definitely be my overnight pit stop on my future trip one day.

No batteries in Smoke detector. Light burned out over bath area sink, dim lighting thruout, no usb ports, small tv nor cable tv nor instructions for use of tv, small refrigerator full of frost. Microwave worked, air conditioner very loud, offered choice of soft or hard mattress, chose hard & bed was comfortable.Toilet paper was sparse but was supplied when asked for. Breakfast was a 0 out of 10 (2 fruit choices, bananas and apples and neither one was fresh), cereal Choice Cheerios and fruit loops didn't see any milk for that & no toaster no bread no tea nor hot water, coffee tasted just okay. We had a pet room & floor was not clean. Room is very aged, still has tufted headboards and bedspread red not white 👎. T the manager , at checkin, was very couterous 👍 .gave a 3 star rating but it is actually between 2 1/2 to 3. (Also, a customer came in while we were getting our sparse breakfast & ask for a replacement key and the breakfast guard was not able to help him and he was still waiting when we left while they were searching for someone that could help him. ) room pricy for lack of light bulbs Etc. Etc ..

The place was really clean and the lady at the front desk was really nice. The beds are really firm, but they look brand new. They are also full size and not queen size. Not a big deal, but two adults to a bed is a crowd unless you’re cuddlers lol. The heating unit in our room did not work. Which we normally keep it a little cold while we sleep anyways so wasn’t a huge deal to us. It’s a good place if you’re looking for a last minute stay and something cheap.

I got 2 rooms while I was there. One of which had a jacuzzi tub and king bed, the other was standard 2 beds. Both were very clean, and actually better than I expected. My wife loved the jacuzzi tub, my teenagers said the beds in there room were very comfortable. The man at the front desk was polite and the price was worth the rooms. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Well seeing the place across the interstate was closed we gave this place a try. It was an ok night's stay. The room was clean but most of the furniture seen there way better days. Overall maintenance seems to be done but on a non-existent budget. The price was a bit much for the above condition and the fact of location. The team manning the front desk were friendly and accommodating.

Stayed 7 Sept 22 , Room 139 , BED BUGS I have stayed here before and returned due to I travel all over the US , this Motel is clean enough , good shower and for the money no thrills is fine but as of last night festation and the wife and I were the main course. I have never had a problem with Bed Bugs and thought maybe I was somehow immune to these useless creature , unlike the wife who is very acceptable to them . Over 15 bites ! Unacceptable !

My truck broke down out here and not only have they helped me but they took me to get food. I can’t say enough good things about this place very comfy beds too.

The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because I had to swap rooms for an issue. That being said, if you are looking for a place to rest during your travels, this is a great place. While it doesn't have modern fixtures and furniture, they have the most comfortable mattresses! The price was reasonable for what you get.

This hotel is exactly what you expect. No more and no less. It was definitely adequate for an overnight stop but I wouldn’t want to stop here if I were going to spend much time in the room. It was fairly clean with one exception. I was surprised that when I moved the portable luggage cart that the floor was covered with dust which was easy to see on the wood plank vinyl floor. +\- I prefer that type of floor to carpet and seeing the dust buildup led me to believe the room was perhaps empty for a while before we got there.
