Save-A-lot in Whitwell is almost always at the top of there game! Very clean and well organized. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five was due to the lack of response and poor attitude from the cashier I saw that day. Other than that it's a fantastic place to shop.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my local businesses. Staff is friendly and store is clean. My only problem is the meat. Twice I have gotten hamburger meat only to get home and it was bad. I will definitely give them another chance but it will be the last time if I get sub par meat again. And it was not reduced meat as I do not buy close to date meat. Just please try and remedy this if possible because I despise wally word.

Value grocery store, with a bit of everything. Good produce, meat for a good value and name brand and not general groceries.I stop by for bread and veggies usually.They are sometimes out of some things, but otherwise nice for a quick stop.

Best meat at awesome prices, hands down! Lots of other good buys, too. I always make one of my shopping trips for my family at Save-A-Lot to purchase what items I can there. The prices are unbeatable.

Nice clean store! The staff were really friendly, at least the ones that I encountered lol. And the meat section was just great! We enjoyed the steaks that we cooked out over the fire next to the creek lol. But this was a good place to go get what you need

Store is smaller than most. Staff is friendly. Upgrades have been made including new signage and coolers. It looks cleaner inside and more up to date.There is an issue with a lot of gnats in the produce. Also, the parking lot is always full of litter.

They could really use an upgrade in the meat section. The freezers are always empty and half the times shelves are stocked with bad or going bad products. Have bought meat from there several times, just to get it home open it and realize it was spoiled. The other star is for the staff. They are great, and very helpful. They simply need to upgrade their ingredients, produce and meat.

So lucky to have Save a Lot in town. Good selection of mainly store brand goods and a few name brands. Though limited, fruits and produce are always fresh. Meats are cut in-store and always look great.

Very small, not many options or brands. I dont think I saw a single "organic" item in the store. Really good meat and great meat deals with 5 packs of certain meat for $20. Also it's like the only "real" grocery store in the town so not really another option. Hey, it's way better than Walmart though!! I shop there almost daily for quick things I need for dinner or bread.

They had a lot of things we were looking for but I thought it was kind of high for a Save-A-Lot. I guess when that's the only grocery store within 20 miles or so I guess they can charge those prices. I have a good meat sales but I thought we went there for will never go back. The people are really nice there and good customer service

They have rearranged the store making it much nicer. It is a clean store with friendly staff. A great alternative to driving to one of the nearby towns.

They don't sell dry butterbeans. All the food is generic. Some foods it's ok for generic. But not everything!!! And I think their steaks are tuff. They do have alot of good cheap food. And the dogfood is cheaper there.

Best place to buy meats. However, there isn't much selection of anything else. Good place to shop if wanting to avoid the Monopoly that is Walmart. Reasonably priced everything.

Good meat and good deals started shopping here rather than the one in Dunlap as the Dunlap store got rid of the butcher they had for years and now meat looks bad and smells bad also went up to crazy prices.someone said to try this one and so much better good selection good prices and meat looks really good this is going to be my regular store from now on.

Really good buys today. Got a whole basket of like start home from scratch stuff to take to The Chimney's State Park. In the pocket on top of Whitwell Mountain, in the valley on top, it's amazingly pretty and peaceful.

Like every other grocery store , the shelves were quite empty of stock . Prices in the meat department has risen so high that most people even the ones drawing EBT can't afford that luxury . So it's back to the basics , Beans and potatoes !
