Went during a very slow time and it was hard to get service. We waited at the host stand for about 15 mins, a cashier told us twice someone would be with us then would continue to stand at the register and play on his phone.We finally got seated then we heard the servers in the back "they've been out there waiting I guess, I didn't know" and loudly laughing, apparently it was hilarious.Waiter/ess comes over and doesn't introduce themselves just a "what do you want to drink" and then walks off.We ordered and when we got the food we didn't receive any cornbread we ordered and the Barrel Bites were cold, plus the cheese wasn't even melted on top it was just cold also. Our waiter never came back by, the manager walked by once and refilled our drinks instead - one time.Then we received our bill from a different waitress that slapped it on the table said "here ya go" and walked away quickly.Would not recommend this location

I'm extremely disappointed and saddened at my experience tonight at cracker barrel and I will not be returning to this location in White House and probably not to another cracker barrel again. I have deleted my app and closed my account.I came in tonight with my 81-year-old mother to have a nice meal before I went to work and we waited for about 5 to 10 minutes to be seated took a while to take our order took a while to get the water and half hour later we still have no food and no biscuits and cornbread which the waitress said she would bring right out.At the half hour points the waitress came out and advised us she had just put our order in and it would still be some time before it would be ready. I let her know that we had to leave I had to take my mother home and then drive to another town for work. I had only had cereal today and was looking forward to a nice big meal at cracker barrel to get me through work.The people that were behind us in line before we were seated were seated two tables away behind me. As we were waiting for our order the lady talked about a chicken pot pie which is what my mother had ordered as well. Those people got their order and we were still waiting and had arrived before that couple..To top it all off I asked for a manager finally one came out she asked what she could do and she was kind. She offered to comp a couple meals and I said I did not want it I had no interest in returning to cracker barrel again. My mother said she would take them again we waited, And she did not return back out, knowing that time was an issue.. we finally left the restaurant with no food no comp meals and a very bad taste in our mouth.I wish you would understand that this meal tonight with my mother meant a lot and she was very much looking forward to her meal It might not seem much to you but to my mother it meant a lot at 81 years old. To get out of the house for the day and have a fun meal with her daughter.I hope your staff can learn from this and things can improve and no other customer will experience this again. But it's for myself I will not return to a cracker barrel again nor will I recommend them. The series of events was unfortunate and I do understand things get busy and I was a very patient customer but when someone blatantly does not put my order in for over a half hour when the restaurant was very dead at that point I have to draw a line and take my money elsewhere.4-8-24 - as of today nobody has contacted me. I posted this review and I contacted a corporate. I guess cracker barrel has now shown its true colors and they don't care about their customer when they bring up serious issues.... Very sad to see the decline of this company and especially the White House location in Tennessee. Check out the other review, it's not just me that's been negatively affected by this location.

Usually good, ordered breakfast w/bacon crispy. It was barely half cooked. There were three of us. We all ordered bacon. We waited way too long for our food anyway. Used to be great place to eat. Oh, I did get reduced price,2.00. Hope it was rare occasion.

Renee our server was exceptional and we enjoyed her work. However the facility was not very well maintained and the appearance was in need of attention in the dining room area. Front store area had been taken care of as far as house cleaning. Products on the shelves had expired dates, as in the candy's and canned goods. With the store in better shape than the restaurant and bath rooms. We were there at 1400 hours on the 25th of July 2023. Pictures say more than words. In the restaurant you could write a message in the dust on the walls and artifacts of decorations. The deer head above the fire place looks like it was in a snow storm. Cobb web's dust hang off of it. Floors were flighty with food and debris scattered around. In walkways, under tables, in chairs. I don't know why, such wonderful place in its time has been left to its own demize, but its not getting the attention that it needs. Short handed, and with only three family's there. It was evident that its loosing the popularity it was had.

Service was okay; prompt food service. Food lack presentation. The mashed potatoes and hashbrown casserole were very sticky/starchy and came flattened on the plate (overhead photo doesn't show that well). All food tasted pretty good. The roast beef was very tender! Large portion and very good meatloaf (as usual). We didn't find their price increases outrageous, except $16.50 for the 3-entree Classic Sampler seems steep. Possibly, the entree portions have increased, too. Also providing photos of most of their menu, May 2023.

Went for lunch one day waited 15 minutes and still had no service, tried again a couple of day later for dinner, people that sat down had service in 30 seconds and I was still waiting 5 minutes later. The table was so unstable that if you leaned on it to much it would have tipped over. When I asked for a manager it took her 5 minutes to decide to deem me with her presence. Maybe they just don't like people that eat alone.

The thing about Cracker Barrel is consistency. I have been going to these restaurants across the country on many many road trips. Every meal is well prepared. I have never had a bad plate. The prices are fair for what you get. You dont have to worry if it will be good. They have "ancient" dishes with no new takes or chef's interpretations. For me that regularity and consistency adds value and removes risk.

I came in with my husband and two kids and I was greeted by the host, Madison. She was incredibly rude to my family for starters when we put our name down. After that she informed us it would be a 15 minute wait. As we waited we shopped in the retail part of the store and the lady checking us out was such a sweetheart. Then we received a text stating our table was ready. We made our way to Madison yet again and she told us that we were too late upon arrival and we had to wait an extra time. Mind you we stayed in the store, maybe two minutes after we got our text we went to the stand. After waiting again, she took us to our table and did not give us menus nor silverware we had to ask the waitress for some. We will not be attending this establishment again due to her😠

Waitress was having a bad day!Wrong sides were brought out, no knives or spoons were available, cheeseburger was undercooked, no drink refills were ever offered, not even coffee or water. Waitress seemed more interested in waiting on new tables than what our problems were. Biscuits/cornbread was cool, definitely not hot! Serving sizes seemed extra small today. No syrup for pancakes until we ask, by then they were cold. Carrots & fries-must have been a shortage.

I've never had a bad meal at a Cracker Barrel before.... until tonight. Everything we ordered was incorrect, except for the beer I ordered. Cheeseburger arrived with a tomato on it when I had ordered onions and ketchup. I had to go back to the waitress area to find our waitress to get the onions and ketchup. The bun was rock hard. My husband and I planned on splitting it so the waitress had brought a steak knife to cut it which was not an easy task. I think it may have been a microwaved, stale bun and sat for awhile before being brought out. My hubby ate the meat without the bun and I ate part of the bun with my half but it was definitely hard and chewy and really was not edible.I ordered the loaded hash brown tator tots but got the hash brown bowl. They were good, so I kept them but when I informed the waitress that I received the wrong item, she told me I had ordered the bowl. I told her again that I had ordered the tots and it was obvious that she was annoyed.I ordered coleslaw but was informed a bit later that they were out.My husband ordered a bowl of the beef soup and got a cup of soup. After a long wait, our waitress came to the table and we let her know and she brought him a bowl. It took a while to get a spoon. He ended up leaving most of it as he said it tasted funny.Not once we're we asked how our meal was, even when we checked out with the cashier.Definitely a disappointment, especially for $30. We definitely will not go to this location again.

This Cracker Barrel has really gone downhill. 7:30 pm on a Sunday they were not that busy but it still took 10 minutes for anyone to speak to us after we sat down. Tons if staff just standing around doing nothing. We were told we couldn't have lemons for our tea because there were none cut up, and once our food came we had no silverware. Checking out there was one person on the register so we had to wait a good 10 minutes here as well even though there were staff just standing around. The food quality is subpar. Honestly yall need to get it together. Clean the place up, it's dirty!

The hostess was an older woman who was sweet enough to switch us to a different table so I could use an outlet to charge my phone. We are from out of state and were having car trouble. Our server brought our drinks, then another came and informed us that our table had been given to her and she would be our waitress from then on. I was confused as to why our table was given away, did we do something to offend the original server? Our food order had already been placed, so it just caused some unnecessary confusion because the new server didn't know who wanted what or what drinks we had. The food was delicious, as always, but I will note that I asked for and was charged for a loaded baked potato and all that came on it was butter and cheese. Our drinks went dry a few times before being refilled and after asking if we wanted refills, I noticed our server standing around looking like she had nothing to do when we hadn't gotten our drinks yet. I will probably give this location a second chance considering I am often in the area, but I was not super impressed with the service during this particular dining experience.

Ordered a mimosa, my spouse didn't have ID, 82 years old. Sorry no I'd no drink. Not their fault. Ordered eggs, bacon and grits. Lump grits and not well cooked still hard. I Ordered trout with green bean and veg soup. Forgot soup until meal came then I reminded her brought me a half cup of something, Sent it back. One very small piece of trout and good portion of green bean's. Actually it was good, which is why I marked a 3 for food. Never again for cracker barrel.

Worst Cracker Barrel we've ever been to. The eggs were nasty, the country fries steak and sausage were pink on the inside, and the biscuits and gravy tasted weird. Nothing looked appetizing, the service wasn't that good, and it was muggy inside the restaurant. Even the candy we bought from the gift shop tasted expired and bad. However, the hash brown casserole was amazing.

We went in for dinner about 5 or 6 min past 4 pm today, Friday, Feb 16. Two employees that I assume were hostesses took us to a small table & when I nicely asked the one who looked to me to be the older one if we could have a larger table, she rudely said, “Well you have to ask me first.” I replied, I thought I just did, but since it’s such a big deal, we’ll just go somewhere else.” When the other employee asked us to stay, that they could seat us, I pointed at the rude employee & said, “No, I don’t like the rude way that woman spoke to me.” The rude woman argued with me over & over saying she wasn’t trying to be rude. But it was obvious that she was trying to be rude & every time she denied it, I told her she most certainly did intend to be rude to me. I’ve eaten at Cracker Barrel’s all around the country & have never been spoken to so rudely, not even at any other restaurant anywhere. We normally eat at Cracker Barrel at least once a week, but if I ever see this rude woman working at any of their restaurants again, it will be our last visit to any Cracker Barrel. I certainly hope management cares enough to follow up, find this employee & get rid of her. Otherwise, I’ll have to assume this rude behavior is condoned by Cracker Barrel.

Excellent meal... my wife Kim and I must be living right. The weather outside was very cold and it was just starting to snow, the restaurant was fairly crowded. However when we arrived a seat opened up just next to a roaring fire. We could have not timed it better if we tried. The service was excellent, and the meal was great. We were warmed by the fire and could see it snow through the windows in the distance.

Let me say Hannah at the White House Tn. location is a Rock Star. She does everything to try to make your visit enjoyable. But every time I try to use the online order system it DOES NOT WORK!! And when I got my food home finally, it was missing several items that had been checked off as included in bag. This is not only annoying it becomes costly when it keeps happening. I am very disappointed with the poor leadership at this location.
