Usually very great customer service.Tonight me and my husband were faced with the upmost disrespect possible from the manager shantel. Been going to darnell’s since I was a child and have never felt so unwelcome. What a shame what this place has came to.-1 star because our cashier was very polite and apologized for her managers disrespect.

Always clean and shelves are never empty. Cashiers are always nice every time I've ever been there. Prices are sometimes a little higher but not always and they have great sales. Definitely recommend and will be back

Limited selections and the prices are often $2+ more for each item than other stores. It's a place to stop when you only need one or two items. Try and get your groceries for the week there, and you'll be walking out with a totally different stride😬😅.

The only time I go shopping at this store is when they have good sales. Other than that you can't afford to shop here. I got a good deal today on some Snapple drinks today. I have their AP downloaded on my phone and I try to remember to down load the coupons. It takes a long time to get them up loaded.

I love this store, but like many/most places, you can't count on finding what you need! The shelf for fruit, veg juices was almost completely empty. The management and staff are always super helpful.

Bought their fried chicken both me and my wife got food poisoning from it. Yes we only ate their chicken today and both us in the bathroom. Not to mention the cashiers star at u and say nothing just wait for u to insert credit card and no have a nice day basically just waiting for me to get out

Cashier dropped the milk on floor. I refused to buy it then. She got annoyed and then picked up another item and ask if I wanted it. I do not want items that hit the floor. Over heard her tell another girl to put back in cooler.

It's a nice little store to run into when you just need a few things. I wouldn't do my weekly grocery shop here; the prices are a bit higher than major food stores. But they have friendly employees, a nice produce department and bakery.

Was too cold for my mother. She had to go back to car and wait while I did the shopping. You're going to pay more here and less variety.... You might also skip out on the deli because you're asked to wait, which is fine, but at least acting like you were trying to get to me quickly would have been nice.

This place is over priced you go to by Velveeta cheese it says suggest price $6.99 or $5.99 and their price is $8.99. Their store hrs say they close at 7 on Sunday but no they lock the doors at 6:55 even with customers still in the store, now I'm not a expert but I'm pretty sure that's a OSHA health and safety violation and against fire code regulations. If there was anywhere else to get what you need (that save a lot doesn't have ) that's where I would go. If I had the money I would pay someone to put a food city Walmart or or anything else out here where you could get food without getting ripped off and with better customer service.

Prices are sometimes elevated but unless you drive to Walmart or Food City, you don't have much choice. Save A Lot is better pn prices especially since the same truck delivers to both stores on same day. And Save A Lot is friendlier by far!

The people at darnell's are vary rude. I suggest going to save a lot. The cashier's are much more friendly there. Darnell's has nothing but rude employees.

It’s OK. Fruit and veggie selection is minimal. Cashier laughed at me for wearing a mask, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise a fine little grocery for a town of this size.

Y'all take advantage of the fact that this is a rural community by charging insanely high prices. Maybe if your prices were better ppl wouldn't have to travel 25-30 miles to get to a Wal-Mart and you may even get more business.

This is a surprisingly great & small grocery store. We needed food camping at nearby Frozen Head State Park, and were pleasantly surprised with the selection, quality, and good service.

It is a local grocery store...only 20 minutes from home and I live in a rural community. It's always pleasant and clean except they don't carry Breyer's Carb Smart Ice Cream. Have plenty of Breyer's Ice Cream but not Carb Smart. I have to drive 45 min away to Oak Ridge to get it. Was wishing they had it at Darnell's as I stock up on 8 -10 of them per month. It's our nightly treat...a bowl of Breyer's.

It's changed allot since IGA got it as Darnell's.There's allot of young people as managers but the biggest issue I've ever had w them are 2 things come to think of it.1). Put 2nd My. Dew Machine back & keep them both stocked better.2). Please, please update Western Union. It's either closed early, down OR don't have the amount sent.Aren't u supposed to keep money back just for that?Once didn't have $300 once $500.
