We absolutely love Underground Processing! They are so flexible to work with us - the small, local farmer - and accommodate custom orders, giving us so many options so that we can provide exactly what our customers want. They handle our chickens with such respect of the animals' welfare and do a thorough job of checking out each chicken to make sure it is in top shape before and after processing. They follow all animal welfare guidelines and have USDA inspectors on hand to inspect and label our product. I would also vouch that they make the BEST chicken sausage (and probably ALL sausage) in the entire Southeast. Their blend of seasoning is incredible - everyone raves over the sausage! We are so grateful for Underground Processing and the way they handle and produce our product. We hand-raise and take great pride in our chickens and wouldn't trust them with anyone else. Wonderful experience with their processing of our flock of chickens. We were able to get scheduled quickly over the phone, drop-off (though very early) was smooth and our birds were ready the next day. The packaging was great, with all the vacuuming sealing done very well. Glad to find a place that caters to small family farmers like us. Will definitely be back.

We have used Underground twice now and have scheduled for additional future dates. We have dealt with a handful or processors and I have been very pleased with our experience with Underground. As a small pork producer I feel looked over by many of the larger processors we have used but not so with Underground. I have mostly dealt with Mike, but he was great in answering my questions, and communicating clearly with expectations and how we want our hogs processed.

My wife and I recently took 60 meatbirds in to be processed. This place was terrific. Very accommodating to our needs, scheduling wise and cutting and packaging. Very pleased. Our packaging is excellent with our farm name address and phone # on the label. Pricing was reasonable for USDA Inspection! We have already scheduled ahead for the next Meatbirds as well as our hogs! The owner took time to meet us and discuss all of our needs. The staff was very freindly! So happy to be one of the customers of Underground Slaughter!
