Blackberry Farms defines what it means to provide a 5 star experience. From the moment we arrived we experienced the most phenomenal service and attention to detail. Every meal was superb - farm to table, fresh, and creative. The rooms are comfortable with the absolute best sheets, mattress and pillows. The setting is serene and immaculate. We did skeet shooting, spa services and the farmstead tour. All were great.Food & drinks: The food was incredible. The menu each day was unique. The food was definitely a highlight.

Amazing 5 star experience. Excellent food and service. Rooms are very elegant. Attention to detail is exquisite.Non obvious nuggets : if you need an in room roll away bed (we did) the quality is horrible. Easy fix for Blackberry … I hope they did. There’s an automatic 20% gratuity to everything. Your room rate, add on alcohol to meals, wellness classes, any experiences you book, etc. Pro .. don’t worry about tipping along the way. Con … your bill will be 20% more than you probably expected.Must dos : visit dog kennels, visit the lambs, visit the Wellhouse regardless of whether you do any treatments, walk by Yallerhammer and the stream close by, wake up early at least one day and be at the main house at least 5 minutes before “first light” (Google it) and spend the 45 minutes or so watching the sun rise.

We had a dream family vacation at Blackberry and can’t wait to return again one day soon! Every detail was so thoughtful and spot on, from the gorgeous scenery to the creative and healthy food and immaculate service. Our farm tour with Dakota was the highlight of our stay. He is one of the most genuine and passionate people we met and you can tell how much he cares about his craft. Our daughter also got to meet about 20 puppies at once and I cannot even describe the joy that brought her and all of us. She also loved the kids club and begged to go every day. In fact the whole place was very family friendly and being pregnant, I also enjoyed the prenatal massage and all the delicious mocktails. Geniene was an excellent bartender and such a pleasure to chat with. I do think the room you book is important for the type of stay you are looking for. We booked a singing brook cottage which was on a hill in the woods and a 5-10 min golf cart ride to the main inn, very secluded and dark at night. Perfect for someone who is going for that but next time I’d book something closer to the main inn for our needs. Also think it would be great if there were more included or small supplement activities throughout the day - tastings, demonstrations, meet n greets etc. We look forward to our next stay!

Our family’s stay at Blackberry Farm was a dream. The Farm warmly welcomes you in the rolling hills of Tennessee and offers views that you have to see in person to believe. Their team is professional, but friendly, and made us feel right at home. The dishes served at The Barn are world class and farm to table, elevated. The Spa is clean, relaxing, and refreshing. We brought our twin one year olds with us during our stay and they quickly garnered a reputation with guests and staff, welcoming them and waving. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We just finished an amazing 3 day retreat here. The staff was incredible. So friendly and accommodating! The grounds and setting are perfection and fall colors still amazing. The hike was challenging but gorgeous and well worth it. The golf carts were a blast for getting around. Special shout out to Rachel Powell andAusten Cooper who went above and beyond to help us out when our flight got waylaid! Best trip I’ve had in many many years. Thanks BlackBerry!!!!

Blackberry Farm was a place I have wanted to visit for years and it totally lived up to everything I wanted it to be! From the service, food, scenery, activities and everything in between, it was all a phenomenal experience. As a food and wine lover, I learned so much and enjoyed every minute. And even my husband (who doesn't drink wine) LOVED his experience as well. It is pricey but in our minds worth it. We wanted to call out a few people, along with many others who made this experience great. Cameron, Dylan, Chance, Peter, and Zane were all stars at The Barn. They gave exceptional service, we could not have been more happy. Not to mention we didn't eat one thing the whole trip that wasn't absolutely delicious! Mariah and Justin in the Wellhouse, and Grace at The Dogwood were all fantastic as well. If you are a food and wine lover or someone who wants to experience rest and relaxation in the beautiful mountains, Blackberry Farm is a must visit!

A truly exceptional place & experience but one personal and major flaw. Staring with the good, the food & service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Every bit of your stay is an absolute priority to the team here and I cannot fault the general service and attention received. At $1000+ per night you should expect a level of service, food & amenities beyond the average 5* hotel and I am happy to say that this place delivered on that aspect. However our room wasn’t the best and it left us wondering what the “cheaper rooms” must have been like? Our room was directly adjacent to the gift shop which meant you had to walk through the gift shop and this felt quite awkward at times. Secondly it was impossible to have our curtains open without feeling like the world was watching us. The golf carts, people arriving/leaving all walked past our windows which meant privacy was none existent. (Maybe fitted shutters would be better in this particular room). The reason this is not a 4* review is down to the noise. On one particular night the guests above us were so noisy they may as well have stayed in our room. They kept us awake until 3am. Yes we can blame the guests but the walls and ceiling were like paper. I just feel that at this price level & standard the rooms should not be “sufficient”

This was a two day getaway to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday! It was amazing.I have never felt so valued and pampered. It is a beautiful place with excellent amenities and food. However, their greatest asset is their staff. It is so unusual to find a group of people whose objective is to meet the guest’s every need. They value your time over their own. They should be described as cheerful and efficient. They truly all seem very happy and there to see to the comfort of their guest. I will come back again especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed by my own responsibilities! The rooms were well appointed and sparkling clean!

Hmmm...two stars...why only two stars from a guest who has been frequenting BF for over 10 years? Simply put, the resort has become just that, a RESORT. Instead of remaining the intimate, exclusive oasis of refinement Sam Beall intended from the time he took over the helm at BF, I'm afraid it has become a victim of it's own success. WAY too much time has been spent focusing non core BF business, such the resident program. Over time, the resident program has significantly diluted the guest experience. Frankly, the promise of the resident program has suffered as well. If Sam was still alive, I have to believe we would never have allowed BF to rest on it's laurels or to be seen as anything other than the flagship of a venerable brand. BF has become complacent. What could be worse? I hope Mary Celeste and the Blackberry Farm team come to recognize they have allowed standards to drop dramatically and make the many necessary adjustments to return BF to the top echelons of the hospitality industry. You can almost sync the drop in standards to the moment BF relaxed the "no facial hair" policy. Since then, BF has developed a much more casual atmosphere and not in a good way. It is very difficult to add new products to a luxury brand and maintain an elite status among existing products. While the Blackberry brand has added to it's stable of products in the form of Blackberry Mountain, Blackberry Magazine, High Hampton, Wyndam Mountain, etc., it has sacrificed quality at in the product that got the brand the recognition in the first place. Clearly the collective eye has been taken off the Blackberry Farm ball. Time to refocus!

Indescribable! The farm to table food is amazing! The grounds are so beautiful that it really takes your breath away. If you are staying in a house or cottage they will loan you a golf cart for the entire length of your stay. I did not know that before we got there, so that was a fun surprise. I can see why celebrities frequent this resort.

I'm sure it's a nice place. The constant shooting at their gun range in Louisville is very inconsiderate of the people who live near by. 7 days a week/ 52 weeks a year.

Stayed at Blackberry Farm for my honeymoon, and it was better than anything I could've imagined. The Farm itself is very charming and every building is meticulously cleaned and maintained. Our room was beautiful, as I'm sure are all the others. The staff are all top notch; very knowledgeable in their fields and all exceptionally helpful. My wife and I have never been better taken care of. Everyone knows who you are and where you're going on the grounds. Felt a bit like being in "Get Out" at times. We were able to get to know some of the staff (as well as we could in a few days anyway), and they were all so kind and happy to help make our honeymoon special however they could. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten. Produce is grown in their gardens, and they make amazing cheeses from their sheep's milk. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there wasn't a dish I didn't love. The Farm hosts a variety of activities, and will help you arrange others off-site if you like (such as hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park). Truly the best five days I've had, and I can't wait to go back for my anniversary.

For a foodie, this resort is paradise. The included breakfast, lunch, and dinner are creative and delicious with service that is second to none. There are so many fun surprises (look for all of the hidden ice cream freezers around the property!) around every turn. My only qualm is that over the past few years, the Farm has become even more popular and expensive, to the point where it isn’t worth the cost (in my opinion). If you are looking for a splurge, I still believe the Farm is one of the most luxurious resorts you’ll visit. I do think if some more activities were added (included in price), the spa were improved, and the capacity somewhat limited to bring back the “exclusive” feel, it would be one of the top resorts in the US. Unless you value food above all else, would recommend booking at Blackberry Mountain, which has a focus on health, wellness, adventure, etc and combines the luxury of the Farm with amazing Smoky Mountain views and hikes.

We are going for Christmas and have been there at least 5 times and it is an extraordinary place. We were at Blackberry Mountain last year and everything Blackberry touches is first class from meals, to rooms or cottages, to spa and activities.

This place was just magical. The service and accomodations were as good as any place I've been and in general they've thought of everything. I'd recommend the skeet shooting of you're into that sort of thing, their facilities and staff for that are excellent. The wine tasting is also unbeatable (reds only for me) because of the interesting and rare selection they have in the massive cellar of theirs. The food at the Barn is what you'd expect from any 4-5 star restaurant, and the wine pairing is certainly a must.

This was a splurge trip for my husband and I for our anniversary. It is a pricey place to visit, but we enjoyed every minute. If you love fine wine and dining and quiet, gorgeous scenery, this place is for you. We enjoyed the pool and witnessed the staff handle a difficult situation with an ill guest in a professional and dignified manner. The spa was amazing, the farm tour interesting and food/wine spectacular. I am a cheese freak and loved the welcome basket of pimento cheese in our room, the cheese and meat platter with beer on the farm tour. We will definitely go back when we can!

Gorgeous location and stunning big rooms. The staff and the service they provide is probably the best I have ever experienced anywhere. The attention to detail is amazing. Fantastic food and wine. There are so many fun activities to do as well and they are extremely well organised. A lot of people bring kids but in my opinion it is best for a couple who want to be active and also have great food and wine.

An absolutely delightful experience. We stayed three nights and enjoyed activities like fly fishing with Chris and horse back riding with Rachel. Alyssa was fantastic at touring the farm with us and telling its wonderful story.

My partner and I have traveled in Tennessee for our long weekend vacation twice and was never disappointed. We have seen two concerts and it was always a good time which was so memorable! The food at the restaurants was so delicious. The wine was superb! The wine tasting in the cellar was fun and full of joy! I would love to recommend this hotel. You guys are so lit!

The stay was completely phenomenal! We had second thoughts about taking my parents anywhere during the Covid-19 outbreak, but they ensured us that they have implemented the strictest protocols and have cutting edge sanitization technology for all rooms. We were welcomed, well fed, and left to enjoy the incredible scenery. I am incredibly happy with how things went and will be back as soon as I can.

Extremely disappointing experience. Drove all the way from Knoxville to Blackberry Farm to go to their gift shop. I wanted to buy something special for family member turning 96. Their so haute tawty, they wouldn't even let me get out of my car to go into gift shop. Said if your not a guest, you can't enter gift shop. I probably spent $40 in gas driving there. Who would have thought to call ahead to see if you could enter their gift shop to buy something? Obviously not me. Way to make a person feel less than, just because their not someone who can afford $400 rooms. That's only the second time in my life a company made me feel that way. First, was Mercedes Benz who wouldn't even allow me to test drive a car I wanted to buy. Guess I didn't look rich enough to them. I went next door and bought Lexus instead. They were nice to me and very helpful. Lexus has great customer service. Blackberry farm is only nice to its guest, customers be damned. Thanks Blackberry Farm for making me feel less than. Now, if I ever get enough money to stay there, I won't. I don't spend my hard earned money at places like Blackberry Farm because their NOT good enough for me. Sickening experience. I don't know how a place like that gets 5 stars. Hope EVERYONE sees this review, including travel magazines, Conde Nast, etc.

Blackberry farms is not a place you stay on your way to some other event. It is the destination. This place is unlike any other I have ever been to. The staff is the most responsive and courteous I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Shout out to Brian the manager who is the picture of courtesy and kindness and obviously imbues this in his staff. The grounds are spectacular and every room or cottage has a gorgeous view. It is also an actual working farm. They have cows, sheep, they breed truffle dogs, they are farm to table in the actual sense. When you return to your house at night the curtains will be drawn, your bed turned down, and a fire already lit in your fireplace. From the spa to the arrival and process of checking in this resort is perfection. I had an awesome experience here.
