Every time I make it even remotely close to this area, I make sure to come here. (Often) Stopped even in the dead winter and got some ice cream. The owners are just as amazing as the huge servings of best ice cream you’ll ever have. Big thanks to this quaint little spot for just being everything you didn’t know you needed.

Best ice cream I’ve had in years. The gentleman running the show is hilarious and we enjoyed talking with him. The drive to Tammy’s from Murphy was gorgeous. Drove a few miles after our ice cream to see Buck Bald. The road up to it is a little sketchy, but the view once you arrive is definitely worth it.

**A STOP YOU MUST MAKE**Its a cute small Mom and Pop shop. The ice cream scoops are worth making the stop. My girlfriend and I stopped for a quick bite of ice cream ended up staying about an hour. The owners and/or employees were absolutely they kindest and the greatest people to shoot the breeze with. They have a great little shop of nick nacks, creative and awesome lighting arrangements. Relaxing area to enjoy the ice cream as well. Worth every second. Going to return every time I'm in or around Turtletown, TN.

WE LOVE TAMMY'S! My husband and I come down to Georgia every 12 weeks and we always stop at Tammy's. You definitely get what you pay for and more. Our dog loves getting pup cups. She knows what's up as soon as we get there. All Tammy's flavors are delicious!

Wow! This place is a must stop! The portions are so big, and the Salted Caramel Cheesecake flavor was so good... will be back, and I will add photos. It started to storm, and I wasn't able.

We got excited by roadside sign advertising sno cones ahead. No snow cones though, and staff acted surprised and confused when we asked and weren't even polite about it, and that was after being brushed off by another staffer as we walked up who was gossiping in the parking lot. Smoky Mountain fudge ice cream was great.

Their ice cream is delicious and the people are so kind. My family of 4 were exploring our new city we now call home when we found Tammy's. We all were in the mood for ice cream and didn't expect what we were in for. We all got mediums, which were about 5 scoops, and only one of us finished. It was a hot summer day and there was a few other people there. All of us were just chatting. It was a very nice experience.

While on vacation we stopped at this little wonder of the world. I was so shocked when we got our dish of ice cream. It was incredible you get extra large portions and the taste is out of this world. The owner is quite the comedian. We were so entertained. If you’re ever traveling through Tennessee this is definitely worth a stop. Thank you from Biloxi we really enjoyed our visit with you

Stopped by this cute ice cream shop with my friends on our way back from turtle town falls hike. Best ice cream place ever. Very big portions for an amazing price. Tammy and her husband were so nice and funny. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to get some good ole Mayfield Ice Cream. The scoops are very generous and the freshness is always great. Always a warm welcoming when you walk in the door. The milkshakes are awesome as well. If you are like boiled peanuts then try the spicy ones!! If you are in the area you must stop by and try some good ice cream here!!

Oh my gosh, an ice cream oasis in the mountains! During a family reunion last weekend, 18 of us went on a hike and saw Tammy's bright yellow signs along the road. Getting to Tammy's after an unexpected 4 hour trek kept everyone motivated! And when we got there, we were overtaken by the SIZE of these scoops! After all the kiddos ordered smalls (three huge scoops), this mama got the sissy cup and didn't even finish. A great value for the money. But best of all, the experience was fantastic! Tammy's bright personality shines through and her passion for ice cream makes everyone smile. The yin and yang between Tammy and Mr. Tammy is hilariously entertaining. Thanks for adding some sweet and sass to our family weekend. We will see you next year!

We stumbled upon Tammy's on accident and were so glad that we did, we even made the drive back again for the incredibly large ice cream cones and the wonderful conversations with the owner. Not only was the ice cream the best we had ever had, but the owner was the sweetest man! If we ever escape Indiana we will be back!

Hidden Gem.. Best Ice cream ever!!! I don’t like ice creams so usually I only get for my families. My husband insisted me to try and OMG! Tammy’s ice creams are the best I ever had. They were so friendly too. We will be back again for sure when we are in Turtle Town.
