Absolutely adore this campground. Love the river spots for tents. Friendly staff. Loved the farm next door with a hay ride and all the animals (especially the reindeer!) Wonderful stay. This was our 3rd stay. Will be back again. Loved being able to ride our bikes to the dancing bean.Walkability: Loved riding our bikes to the Dancing Bean.

Camp host was very friendly and facilities were clean. Unfortunately this Campground does not enforce a quiet hour policy and does not shut the gate preventing folks from coming and going late. Several cars in and out all night causing us to wake up.I was awoken in my tent by someone who pulled up to our site mistakenly at 11:15pm. Lights on for several moments shining on my tent. They then drove through our site to get their site right next us and left the lights on and engine running for half an hour while they remained in the vehicle with music playing. They then decided to finally start setting up camp and for the next 25 minutes we're opening and slamming doors going back and forth to the tent unloading gear. All this while the car remained on with high beams on.Finally after setting up camp they decided to turn on 2 very bright camp lights on the outside of their tent door and illuminating the night sky and leaving them on most of the night. The point is unless you are in a camper I would not reccomend the tent only campsites here. Everything else was good as far as facilities and services available. Just needs a better policy with quiet hours.

Super friendly folks! I called prior to online booking with a question and they were very helpful. Once I arrived to the campground I was greeted warmly and the check in process was quick. The bathroom/shower was clean and neat. I only stayed overnight so I didn’t use any other amenities but I will definitely be back when I am able to stay longer!

We stayed here in 2019 for several days and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the campground so much, that when we purchased our new RV this place was where we just had to return to.Our “neighbors” Mike and Kim were so awesome helping us newbies getting set up and offering advice to make our camping trip so much easier! They made us feel welcome and we left having 2 great new friends.Definitely will be back!Safety: Felt extremely safe in the campground.Seemed everyone looked out for each other which is rare these days.Walkability: Loved walking around the farm and getting to see all the animals.Especially the miniature donkeys!

This is a great campground! It is very family friendly campground along with pet friendly. Every time I have stayed has been great. The sites are nice. The bathroom are good but there are few of them when I was last there. The river is perfect for the kids or in my case my dog who loves the water! It is always a pleasure to stay here. The environment is amazing. There were free roaming chicken so just know that and keep an eye out for them with your pets.

Enjoyed the stay, camp ground was not too noisy or crowded. Didn’t care much for the 4:30 am trash pickup, but other than that really enjoyed the stay. Camp hosts we spoke with Barb and Scott, and Diane were all pleasant and made us feel welcomed.Safety: No one walking around that weren’t guest.Walkability: Had no trouble walking anywhere in campground.

Little River Campground is a picturesque retreat in Townsend, right along the scenic Little River. With a convenient location at 7261 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, it offers a range of activities, including tubing down the river, running, and biking, making it an ideal spot for creating cherished memories with family and friends. The campground provides essential amenities and even encourages a break from technology with internet access available. It’s family-friendly, featuring a swimming pool, hayrides to see farm animals, and fun creative activities like rock painting and tie-dying T-shirts. Pet owners are welcome, but dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, and good behavior is expected. The addition of camping and glamping cabins, some pet-friendly, provides a comfortable riverside stay. Overall, Little River Campground offers a delightful and convenient outdoor experience for all to enjoy.

This is a great family campground with lots of fun for both kids and grownups. We stayed in the rustic (noElectric/water) site tent camping and enjoyed the privacy the rustic “mountain side” sites had to offer. Our fav was definitely the rafting down the river! So much fun 🤩On our departure day we realized our car battery was dead (and corroded!) and Dale came over with his tools, took our battery out, cleaned it off and charged it up for us! That was a relief! Thank you Dale!

This was my first and last experience here. When I checked in I was rushed out and no one explained anything to me other than the office was closing in 30 minutes. I was given a map and was able to find my site. The sites are right on top of each other and in terrible shape. They aren't mowed and were totally ant infested. Not cool when you are in a tent. I understand nature, but that is terrible. Then it was time to use the bathrooms. I have never seen a bathhouse that nasty. I went into all of them just to make sure it wasn't just one of them and it wasn't. They weren't even cleaned or the trash taken out overnight. Totally unacceptable. I was totally disappointed. This could be a really nice place if it was just taken care of.

Stayed at a tent site on the river. Was the first spot by the bridge.Pro - has great shade under a very large tree. Pretty quiet during the day other than traffic. The kids enjoyed painting the rocks. It’s steep acres to the water from this site but the spot next to this one was easier to do . If you walk up you can take a quick ride on tubes in the river. There is a dish washing station, so that was nice.Con- so much vehicle traffic after dark. The park was loudest at night (which was frustrating).Ppl choose to walk through the back of this camp site instead of walk on the road. Bathrooms are far (only 3 are located near the tent area). There are 6 more bathrooms even farther away that seemed less busy. If you use them in the morning or evening plan on waiting in line. The bathrooms are not separate from showers so you never know how long you you will be waiting (most of the time I’d go to the farther which was less of a wait ). Bathrooms were not cleaned at the end of the day so they were nasty at night, as well as in the morning when ppl were getting ready for the day. Kids did not enjoy the hay ride ( neither did the adults). You don’t get off or close to the animals. Staff I believe was driving around in a gator after 9 which was super loud, when trying to get kids to sleep. They have a pool but it has three chairs and no shade or bathrooms anywhere near it unless you are staying in a cabin /or site over there. Playground is sufficient can get pretty busy depending on how many kids are around.I would come back but I did have higher expectations

We stayed in one of the houses for rent. The house was not clean, it was ant infested and the amenities that we were promised were unusable. The campground was nice and the kids loved seeing the animals and playing in the river, but I do not recommend renting a house on their property. It’s far too expensive for what you get, and they charge you a cleaning fee when it is not cleaned sufficiently in my opinion.

Quaint campground with convenient access to the Smoky Mountain National Park and Cades Cove Loop. Short ride to Pigeon Forge and other local attractions. We were able to relax by the river and stroll around the farm areas accessible to visitors. Campground provides primitive camping up to full hookups for even the bigger RVs. Very reasonable price and relaxing atmosphere.Nearby activities: Tubing, fishing, Jeep rides, Foothills Parkway, utv rentals, hiking.Walkability: If so minded, you can walk or ride a bike to local shops using a dedicated pathway. Hiking trails in the park for both novice and advanced hikers.

Love this place.....I have been camping on these sites since 1998. I don't blame the bathrooms smells on the workers but the nasty customers that don't clean up after themselves. I did have other campers dogs eat some our families food. Kids running through our sites. People need to teach manners to kids when camping. The place was clean and great activities Will be backRooms: CleanNearby activities: Caverns, cades cove, the YSafety: Not too many light but lit enoughWalkability: Great walking paths and roadsFood & drinks: Shop has some camping supplies and close to storesNoteworthy details: They have the hay rides and tubing

One of our favorite campgrounds! We go camping there multiple times a year. It’s a great location in Townsend & the cost to stay there is reasonable too. We love getting a spot on the water & paddling around in the Little River. There’s a farm right next door with a beautiful Mountain view that you can walk through. You can also feed the animals for a small fee. It’s a great place to set up camp!

Our favorite campground in Townsend, Tn. Very clean, a nice relaxing atmosphere and close to all we enjoy about the smokies....hiking, cycling, and Cades Cove. While there are some sites with more amenities, this campground works for us. Great location, reasonable price, and since we are out enjoying the mtns during the day, we just like being able to come back to RV and enjoy the peaceful serenity of this site. Strongly recommend to anyone, tent campers, rv'ers, etc. Will update with photos later this week!
