Not sure I've been in a friendlier place. The second you walk in the door at Elder's Ace you're greeted by wonderful employees that are always willing to help. I'm typically on a supply run for my husband and they are always so great about helping me find everything on the list. Once they even took a video call from my husband to discuss a couple options and make sure we got the right product for the job. They do all of this with a smile and I'm so incredibly grateful!

This is a second hand review, as my wife ran inside while I was in the truck. We just needed a small grilling item for beer can chicken... she said the doors opened, and as she walked in; she had over 4 employees yell out "hello/welcome" to her. 1 of the employees asked what she was looking for, and she said "bbq accessories". she was then met with all 4 employees, all yelling out "isle 18" and one them of them walked her back to find exactly what she needed. In and out in about 3 minutes. It was a different experience for your wife to come back to your truck in a better mood than she left, simply because employees made her smile. We're new to the tennessee area, and that simple kindness will bring us back here for all of our hardware needs.Well played elders ace... well played indeed lol

Nice location and a tidy store. I went in simply to look for a YETI container and wound up browsing around. The employeea were friendly. They so seem a bit pricey compared to other locations.

I've been to this Ace many times for various projects. Today I just needed keys made with a new padlock. Every kind of lock you could ever want is here at fair prices. The keys are made quickly and accurately. They have always worked on the first try. That's a good thing as my time is valuable. Some reviews mention high prices, keep in mind this is a tourist town. Most places have a slight mark up for this reason. I would rather pay more and speak to someone who has actually had experience fixing things. All the advice I've been given here on my projects has been solid. They've steered me away from things I didn't need before costing them a sale. Their good honest people. If you want cheap go to Walmart & ask some 18 year old nitwit who never worked on a toilet in his life. Most of their hardware staff couldn't even flush a toilet. As for me I'll stick with Elder's Ace Hardware.

Great hardware store with several people waiting to offer help (what a change from big box hardware stores). They even suggested a free savings club at checkout that saved me money and sends coupons. Price is slightly higher on some items but worth it for convenience and time saved not wandering around bigger stores searching for what you need. They have pretty much anything and also carry a full line of Stihl landscape equipment.

This is a great store in Townsend. It has anything you need in a quick manner without having to drive to Severville. They also have a selection of really nice souviners which is really cool. The staff is friendly, helpful and inviting. You can get great quality tubes here for tubing little river at an affordable price and they blow them up free. If you want to reuse your tube they still blow it up free for you just ask. Amazing store go in and say hi!

Last fall we were camping in Townsend. I needed a couple of things for the camper. Off to Ace hardware we go. I walked in and was greeted by staff with a smile. They were busy with several employees working. I ask one employee where to find the item I was looking for. She took me to the item and apologized for not being able to stay with me because she was actually with another customer. I thanked her and she continued on her way. A few minutes later the same lady found me and ask if she could help me with anything else. After purchasing a few things with her assistance I checked out and left. The next day a part broke on the camper, off we go again to Ace hardware. They did not have the part I was looking for, I did not expect them to have it either. They did however come up with a solution that would work until I could get the correct part from an RV dealer. The store was clean inside and out. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I would like to thank the store owners and staff for providing the outstanding customer service for this small town.

Not happy with this store at all, everything we purchased was up to $5.00 more than what it was labeled, The checkout line was extremely long with only one cashier working and four other employees standing watching her work. This Ace is also price gouging the people of Townsend and all who visit, it is totally worth the drive to Maryville to get what you need. This store is just another tourist trap taking advantage of shoppers. I won't be back. Edit: they replied to my review to give them a call and email, I have done both with no response. Not good customer service.

Every Associate, from the Manager (Heather) down go out of their way to make your shopping experience the very best that it can be. From the Greeting I get when I come in the door to the one on one assistance I receive in finding whatever it is that I’m looking for, this group has it together. They al call you by name and are very knowledgeable in products that are available as well as where they are located. I would Highly Recommend this store to anyone! I am a lifelong customer without a doubt!

This is our Favorite Hardware Store.Don the General Manager is just Awesome! We have had special order requests and Don and his staff will always make sure we get what we need and in timely manner. So friendly And always stocked with just about everything you need! They even have camping, outdoor and rafting supplies for adventures in the nearby Smoky Mountains.Thanks Elders Ace and Don and staff!

After buying a trashcan that wouldn't fit in my car, they delivered it to my house for free. Not only that, but with it they returned my toddler's beloved stuffy that she must have dropped in the store, all within an hour or so before we noticed it was missing. I'm so grateful to the staff here!!
