Called to inquire about a bird- not being from the area this was the only rescue that popped up for the state. They were so nice and directed me to a person who was able to help us

the ABR does a great job of caring for orphaned and injured cubs from TN and other surrounding states. The visitor center is nice and offers plenty of gifts to help the cause.

We try to stop in when we visit Townsend. It is a small souvenir shop and the proceeds go to help put orphaned bears back into the wild. The volunteer that was there was very friendly and helpful.

I love what they do for orphaned bear cubs and love reading the updates! The shop is cute and they had lots of nice things for sale. Picked up a few gifts. Just wish they had the long sleeve t-shirts in stock. I would spend millions there if I had it to support this great cause!

Lovely people and beautiful organization. It's such fun to adopt bears and look at all their one of kind merchandise. Plus when you buy something there it supports the bears. Adopting bears make great gifts for children as you get a picture, a little stuffed bear and you can watch them live on Facebook. It's very educational. I always stop here.

I'm a monthly supporter of ABR. What they do to save our bears is just wonderful and I'll support them as long as I'm able. They've rehabilitated several bears and got them back into the wild where they belong. I love everything about ABR. Join them on their website or if you're in Townsend stop by Trillium Cove and visit their adorable gift shop.

These people are awesome! They take sick and injured bear Cubs and restore them to health. Then the Cubbies are released back into the area they were rescued from. They are a nonprofit organization and any amount of money you donate goes directly to returning the Cubbies back to a healthy life. Thank you!

This is the storefront for the Bear Rescue. The bears are not at this location because they are kept where they won’t grow accustomed to people. This is the education center, and the staff are so AWESOME! Their mission is to educate the public about bears and keep bears safer. They rehabilitate orphaned cubs and yearlings. They also raise money to care for the bears. Drop in, learn, and buy something or donate money to help the bears!

Lots of information about bears, bear rescue, and how to "adopt" a cub who has been in the rescue program. The bears are not on the store property, and the public is not allowed access to them, the reason being that they are wild bears, being healed to go back into the wild. Great, knowledgeable staff, made up of a lot of volunteer help. The curators do a fabulous job, as do the vets at UT.

Excellent. This charity rescues Blackbear Cubs and yearlings who are sick, failing to thrive or injured to bring the bear back to health and released back to normal habitat. They believe in minimal human contact and rehabilitation of bears as they are in the wild. Need monetary support. Donate

A very worthy non-profit rehabilitating bear cubs. You can visit a cozy store to purchase bear themed items. The facility itself is closed to visitors when bears are in residence. Follow on Facebook for daily updates.
