I wish we could have stayed longer. The place is absolutely beautiful and the campsites are paved and level. No sewer connection, but that was not a problem for us. The bathhouse was nice, although the shower head was a bit low for me. Not really a problem.

Really breathtaking park. Beautifully maintained and the views are amazing. I don’t think I saw one piece of trash. Great place for families to have a picnic with room for children to play and covered tables. Nice playground, nice, safe neighborhood and easily accessible.

Mix of old and newer bathrooms but well maintained. Very, very friendly host. You can see a variety of wildlife or park resident mascot animals. lolReelfoot lake is massive and serious or recreation fishermen will have a blast staying here.

Super photogenic state park - specially before spring season where you see white dry broken trees around as well as inside the lake. Very nice scenic view. It's little off road from I55 and you'll have to drive on single lane road for about 30 min but it's worth driving for such an awesome view. There's no restroom with running water so you manage with the dry portable one only. No food options either nearby few miles.

I camped here for one night. The campground is lovely, paved spaces, some with full hookups. Lots of trees for shade and a lovely breeze off of the lake. There is a resort next door with a restaurant and bar. The restrooms and showers were very clean.Restrooms: Very clean, good size showers.Dog-friendliness: No charge for pets.

Nice park, with unique trees. The river cruise was closed but there are other boat rentals available from Boe's landing. Without the boat tour it is difficult to appreciate the beauty of this park. The birds, especially the bald eagle was a nice touch.

Very interesting and cool place to visit. Created by violent earthquakes back in 1811. Giant lake. Swampy areas. Large cypress trees. Eagles, cranes, lots of birds. There’s four trails that are good for beginners.

It was cold and very windy and as you see in the photos there was a lot of ice. This is a very beautiful place with lots of places to walk. There are many Eagles and the Cypress trees and just stunning. I was surprised as cold as it was how busy it was, but with it's beauty and easy access I can understand. The boardwalks are well built and I would assume could easily be used for wheel chairs. The restrooms were clean and maintained as well.If you have time, stop off and visit the beautiful Eagle that lives there. He is very attentive.

The park needs a serious renovation. The camping spots are very short. And I couldn't even fit my camper and my truck in the same spot I had to park my truck in the grass. I got to give them credit though the showers were very hot, and had great water pressure. But other than that there's really not a whole lot to do around there, and the constant barrage of Cypress nuts and persimmons on the roof of the camper all night long, kind of got annoying.

Beautiful area and seeing the Eagles are awesome! I would suggest you bring binoculars and would almost suggest you do the guided tour rather than the self guided tour due to the directions being confusing and GPS losing service, we ended up all over the place!

This park is small but offers some cool attractions. Realfoot lake is a nice area and there were several out on the water in boats either fishing or boating. The park offers boat tours that tour the lake every 2 hours I believe. They also have a nice playground, picnic area, and volleyball area. The park features various birds of prey on exhibit such as bald eagles and different species of owls. Definitely worth checking out if in the area!

Definitely a five star destination! I stayed in a spotlessly clean cabin with ample premium linens and a full kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of plates, glasses, pots, and pans. One step out of either the front or back porch,(both of which had lovely seating areas) and there’s Reelfoot Lake, with pelicans, no less!!! I couldn’t believe what a bargain this place was!!

Very nice campground. Be careful of the trees lining the campsite access roads . Bathrooms are clean. The lake is very popular for fishing. Wife did not like the campground because there were too few places for her to walk. I thought is was a very pretty campground.

We enjoyed camping at Reelfoot Lake State Park. The campground is nice and the bath house was clean and had nice, hot water. We rented kayaks at the check-in station for a few hours and really enjoyed it!At the Park Visitor Center, we took a sunset boat tour. Ranger Douglas did an amazing job and we loved the tour! We were able to take some great sunset pictures, saw a couple of eagles, and saw many Osprey and other birds.

Be aware that there are 2 campgrounds in this state park. One is close to town and the other (north campground) is pretty isolated and good if you are fishing but not for much else. When we were there in the spring it was very wet and some sites were under water.

I would have like to spend more time here. They do have a lot of options to do, and some with a tour guide! Ferry ride on the Mississippi river, or go watch the eagles on the Northern section. Their is a guide that will get you closer to where they are, to view.

Stayed at the campground for ten day at the end of November. The campground is very nice and the sites have a good amount of room. The bathhouse was great. It was always warm and had hot showers. Laundry was also nice. Just wish there was more trails around the campground. Very beautiful being right on the lake.

Reelfoot Lake State Parkis located in the northwest corner of Tennessee and is noted for its fishing, boating and wildlife viewing. The 15,000 acre lake was created by a series of violent earthquakes in 1811-1812 that caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards for a short period of time, creating Reelfoot Lake. The park’s ecosystem is unlike any other place in Tennessee.Reelfoot lake is a flooded forest. While Majestic Cypress trees rise above the water, below the surface are many submerged Cypress stumps.A variety of aquatic plants and flowers occupy the shoreline and saturate the shallow water. The lake harbors almost every kind of shore and wading bird as well as golden and American bald eagles.A premier attraction for outdoor enthusiasts with hunting , fishing and kayakingDuck hunting is a popular attractionThe museum at the park features historic and prehistoric artifacts and pottery from the regionThe park houses a eagle and two owlsBoardwalk to the lakeFriendly staffGift shop

If I could give 0 stars I would if they were gonna be closed down in May they should really tell you that especially when i booked it in January. Now everything is booked and I'm out a little over $1,000 after I've already purchased everything else. Completely unreal.

Such a beautiful sight but I don't like seeing Bald Eagles in captivity. The park is beautiful and the cypress trees were something Ive never seen before

I preferred the boardwalk hikes due to the excessive amount of wildlife. This is the only naturally occurring lake in TN and the state park has some cabins and its great for birding and fishing. Per the visitors center, there are a lot of endangered or rare creatures in this ecosystem.

Excellent campsites, price, spacing and views! Firewood is $6.Best spots are 2, 3 & 15-20. All by the water. 2 functional bath houses that are cleaned every morning.Kayak rentals and boat ramp are by spots 2 & 3. Convenient and great spots for us kayakers but you're gonna have a lot of foot traffic. The campground was packed out but everyone was respectful, nice and quiet.# 15 is by the pavilion so if you're tent camping, you have a dry place to hang out if it rains. But the best spot is # 20. No foot traffic and private, by the water and not far from the bathhouse.Next door, within walking distance from spots 2 & 3, is the resort and restaurant, Blue Bank Fish House, with excellent comfort food and waterfront views! (See my review for Blue Bank Fish House) Don't forget the mosquito repellent!

My husband is from Union city. We got married on Reelfoot lake in 2017, we try to visit at least once when we come to visit the family. This year we were fortunate to rent a house on Sunkist beach for a few days after Christmas, the kids enjoyed seeing the animals and the view was beautiful.

It’s almost magical to think about a sudden seismic fault enabling (forcing) a reversed Mississippi River flow in order to create this beautiful place. Now…that’s a thing!
