We didn't stay at the Inn, this is a review on the coffee shop and food. The coffee is really good!! I will say, I was disappointed in the first sip it was really bitter. But after stirring in the cream, it was delicious. I got the Uncloudy Day (adorable name). My favorite part about all their special drinks, is that they are well thought out and unique in flavor. Not enough coffee shops are brave enough to do that.Next, the atmosphere. This shop is ADORABLE. We were driving through the town on our way back to Missouri, and I was scrolling through coffee shops, saw this one, and demanded my friend (the driver) stop. We pulled over, and turned around to drive 4 minutes back to stop in. I have travelled a lot and been to countless coffee shops. This place is just perfect for the local. It was even prettier in person, and I absolutely loved the lounge they have to the left of the coffee bar.Next, the food! My friends got some scones and their snickerdoodle coffee cake. They were in heaven. I have a nut allergy so I try to stay away from cakes and stuff. I was pleasantly surprised to see the mozzarella and tomato bowl. For 8 bucks, it was high quality and hefty. It was a solid lunch for me!Overall, this place was quaint, delicious, and made for a great stop! I definitely wanna come back to explore this little town more, maybe get some trout fishing in. Adorable little mountain towns are the best!Small critiques/suggestions for the owners: Stickers! I would have loved a sticker from this place. Also as someone with a nut allergy, I would have appreciated ingredient labels. Other than that, I don't have much to say :)

This place is great for a pick-me-up! The coffee is fantastic and fresh, but man, the pastries are out of this world! Had the very best blackberry, lemon, cheese pastry — whoever makes these is an artist. It was the most perfect, delightful pastry I’ve ever had. Really had to say that, it stole the show.On another note, there should DEFINITELY be signs up about the local roaming dogs in town… effectively scared the crap out of my hubby and our pup when a large dog walked up (off leash) and started harassing them. Sweet dog, but this was very unusual. We don’t know where others’ dogs have been and strangers CERTAINLY don’t know if our dog is safe to be around. If a fight had broken out, we would have been devastated. This negatively impacted our time in town and stressed out our dog. Not exactly what we expected on vacation.Other than that, this spot is beautiful and a great place to relax… INdoors.

I’ve enjoyed their espresso drinks many times. The service in my last two visits has not made me feel welcome. I waited several minutes to even be acknowledged as a sole patron and was about to walk out before the young barista took my order with barely a ‘hello.’ It’s a cool spot, but not when you are made to feel like you shouldn’t be there.

What a gem. We stumbled across this coffeehouse on our way to Pigeon Forge and found ourselves planning a trip to come back! The coffee was delicious and not too sweet and the food and treats were fantastic. My only regret is not getting another coffee to go!

We spent one night at the Trout Mountain Coffeehouse & Inn in Tellico Plains, TN, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Cheryl couldn't be more accommodating, including making us a wonderful cold brew coffee with her famous Chantilly cream upon our arrival! ...and it was their closing time! The rooms have been completely remodeled...and we loved the little treats she left in our room. It's located in a central area close to restaurants and places we wanted to ride our motorcycle to. The coffee shop itself was excellent, and great having it right there in the morning! We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you, Cheryl! 😊

We didn’t stay at the inn, we went to the coffeehouse. The slow motion French press is just about the best coffee I’ve ever had. Simply delicious. I cannot rave about it enough. My companion had the berry blossom and enjoyed that as well. We also tried the green olives marinated in tangerine and chili with tillamook cheddar… I’m not into spicy but these olives were out of this world. We will definitely be back!

Amazing coffee! Had one of their specialty lattes and it was also made very hot (which I loved)! Downside is there is really nothing for folks with Celiac disease offered of the treats for sale. Tellico Plains is really difficult for Gluten-free people it seems! Great coffee here though. Wonderful service as well.

My husband and I took a short trip to Tellico Plains and found this amazing coffee house. It's right on the corner so you cannot miss it. Clean place. Decor is cozy. Gives you a warm welcome feeling. We ordered coffee French pressed with Chantilly cream and a breakfast cookie. It was enough for two and not pricey as you would expect from a grade A coffeehouse. The weather was sunny and yet not hot, we chose to sit outside. Plenty of round tables with umbrellas. Service there is quick, courteous and friendly with warm welcoming smiles. Staff is knowledgeable about their coffee beans. It's all pretty flat. Bathrooms are clean. Wifi is available for customers. Large interior for large groups. We will be back and bring our out of town guests.

Can't speak on the Inn, but the coffee shop and the service there are always so great! I always get one of the specials on ice. Back when they had a cook I had the steak and eggs (which were to die for!) and while I was eating, had two iced coffees. I'll tell you what...that coffee is not for the faint of heart! It is good and STRONG. Make ya wanna run laps or somethin. Kinda bummed they don't have a cook right now, but the food they do still have has all been really good...the cookies are delicious! I think what I usually get is called the breakfast cookie. The hummus is excellent and the chicken salad is too. There's always locals there (that should speak for itself) and pretty fresh flowers around that make the already perfect atmosphere even more awesomer. If you're in Tellico you MUST stop here!

Didn't stay in the inn. Had coffee, we had a couple of the specials. The roast was good, both had a good balance of flavor, sweetness, and espresso.Sweet barista, cook was not in.... So no food, but it was funny they had sign on the kitchen door that said food by chance.Cool little coffeeshop for sure.

We rolled into town looking for coffee at 5 pm on a Wednesday. 2 tired dudes just looking for an afternoon coffee break. Well we hit the jackpot when Sydney was leaving for the day just as we rolled up. The coffee shop closes at 5 and isn’t even open on Wednesdays. This angel took pity on 2 tired fellas and made us coffee. My buddy Mike and I are very grateful. Meeting Sydney and that coffee break was was the highlight of our trip that day. Thanks again Sydney!

This is a jewel!! The best coffee I've ever had. I love coffee and these people know how to do it!! I didn't get any flavored coffee. Just regular coffee and their cream they make in-house. I could eat the cream by itself. Next time I'm down here I'm going to try the Cherryhala it sounds delicious. We talked to the owner and she is super nice. I highly recommend this for anyone who halfway likes coffee. You will be hooked!!

Love this coffee shop. Been here several times and have never had a bad coffee or pastry. They always have different specialty drinks to try, and their oatmeal cookies are absolutely delicious. Service is above and beyond. Highly recommend for anyone in the Tellico Plains area looking for a place to stop for coffee.

Trout Mountain Coffeehouse is so cute and quaint. We stopped in for an afternoon tea/coffee hoping to find someone to make us a London Fog. We found them! Ask for the London Fog here. It is so well done. Their coffee menu looked amazing as well and the sweet treats were hard to pass up. There is seating near the counter and outside the door. There is also a lovely side room with a couple of couches, booths and tables to enjoy your coffee/tea.

This place is an absolute MUST. We stumbled upon this gem on our way to check out a nearby wedding venue and stayed the night in the Inn. We were more than comfortable. The hosts Lance and Cheryl are extremely accommodating. The attention to detail is unmatched. The room we stayed in was beautiful decorated, came with complimentary cookies and sparkling water. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was super comfy! We enjoyed French press coffee and homemade cream that was the best coffee we have ever had! The complimentary breakfast was GOURMET!!! I enjoyed a sweet potato brisket hash and my fiancé had the bagel and lox plate…SO GOOD! If you have the opportunity to spend some time at Trout Mountain Coffeehouse do not pass it up. We are sad we have to leave but so excited to visit here again! This IS the destination!Thank you so much to Cheryl, Lance and staff!

Terrific place to visit for breakfast and excellent accommodations! The coffeehouse is very well setup with AMAZING specialty coffees and delicious breakfast bites. I was able to book a room last minute and enjoyed some yummy, savory crepes before a long day of fishing. Look forward to visiting again and spending more time poking around the historic downtown.

Perfect place to stop after finishing the Cherohala Skyway. The barista was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions and their pastries were baked fresh that morning. The pumpkin scone was delicious, so was our coffee. Nice area to sit inside, outdoor tables were available, too. For a scone, cookie and two drinks it was $22.

Oh what a wonderful place! My husband and I stopped by on a day trip into town and while I was outside feeding my 10-week old son, the owner sent out a cookie and water for me to enjoy. It was the sweetest gesture and made my day. The shop is beautiful and our drinks were delicious! You absolutely must try the hand pies too- the raspberry filling was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this shop and the owner! Definitely check it out for yourself.

Coffee with an extra touch. I got an American and it was like nothing I’d had before. The owner asked if I wanted homemade Chantilly Cream in my coffee and I figured why not since I add cream and sweetener any way. So I added one packet of stevia and it was PERFECT. And the cream was oh so delicious. The decor was tastefully rustic and modern at the same time. You’d never know the place used to be a gas station and garage. So unique. Though I didn’t get to eat there I couldn’t help but notice the lovely, healthy, and artfully prepared and thought out food items. I can’t wait to return. I only wish I had more time to visit with the owners. They were so nice and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed.
