It's impressive to me how close they are able to make this store to a normal food city location considering how little space they have to work with. You'll find just about everything you're looking for from a Food City despite the store being half the size of a typical Food City. The staff is very friendly and things typically move quickly at checkout. That said, the main draw back to this location in my experience is that you can never be sure whether your food is fresh. Most of the time it will be, but I have discovered expired products or produce that doesn't last a day before turning multiple times after leaving this store and it is frustrating. Make sure you pay attention to everything you are buying and make sure it is fresh.

Shelf prices don't always match scanner, so be aware. Sale prices are good, but nonsale are high. Shelves and aisles are super crowded, and sale prices have quantity and date stipulations. Makes food shopping stressful. We shopped on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded. However, on a Friday during their 3-day sale, there's not an open parking spot! Employees are nice, but not overly so. Produce is nice quality.

Honestly they need more handicap parking available and more handicap accessible shopping carts (they only have 2 and most of the time 1 of them is out of order.) If they want people to shop at their stores they need to accommodate all there shoppers not just those who can walk in and get their stuff and be on there way. If you continue to not accommodate the people with disabilities then we can shop elsewhere where they do.

Every thing is over stocked on the isles and up high were something's are actually hard to get down or reach.But the variety of the items they have for sale is just unbelievable.The Food deli is great with the largest variety in town.And the smell of the food being cooked outside and inside of the store makes your mouth water and your belly thinking someone has cut your throat and that's why it feels like you have been starving it to death...Only complaint is the meat section cause there's just not enough beef . So where's the BEEF..OTHER than the check out lanes being backed up 5 ,6 deep with only two Lanes open during the bestest time of the day.I'd rate them from a 1 to 10.Probably 9.3Excellent selection for everything you might want or need for your pantry and refrigerator.Breakfast, lunch and dinner.Don't forget the midnight snacks.Probably any and everything one would wake up at 1 am and then run to the fridge...

I hadn't shopped here in quite a while.Inside and out of store was clean. Large parking lot. Reasonable prices. Friendly cashier and the bagger will offer to carry your groceries to your vehicle. Overall, A nice grocery store. UPDATE JUNE 2023 stopped in for ice cream that was on sale. On the way out I noticed some beautiful orchids & flowers for sale. I will add the Pictures.

Employees are amazing. However my card was over charged on my 1st visit by 5 bucks and on my 2nd visit I purchased 10 of the .89 waters and was charged .96 for them. They were closing in 5 minutes and I had just got off work so I gave them the 7 cents and won't be returning.

Very tiny, but usually not bad. Tonight we were lucky to find a pack of Reeces pumpkins from Halloween on sale for $2.99 down from $7.99. Had to take the manager back to show him the sign since he claimed they weren't $2.99. They let us have them for $2.99, before tearing the $2.99 sign down and marking them back up to $7.99. This is December, these were from Halloween, we're past that and Thanksgiving. Talk about greedy, that's ridiculous. Smh

The hot bar here is not too bad for the price. I would prob describe it best as “cafeteria food.” It will bring back those memories of younger you mindlessly standing in your school cafeteria at lunchtime holding your faded green plastic tray that the very lovely and always personable lunch ladies seemed to be in pain as they slammed a medium sized heaping of whatever the lucky food choice of the day was for that day, along with a few more slams to get those delicious sides on your tray as you wander out of the food line into the vast area covered with white tile, and too many tables to count. And of course you would always have to pay your respects to the giant painted piece of Broccoli plastered on the wall for all to see and enjoy. Anyway, the food isn’t terrible at Food City’s hot bar. I usually go with the meatloaf that honestly is a little too crispy for my liking but hey, it’s like $5.99 for a monster piece of meatloaf and two large helpings of sides of your choice. I generally go with mashed potatoes and green beans. It’s a good choice if you’ve gotten burned out on all the usual fast food choices and want something that almost resembles a nice home cooked meal. I’m sure I’ll keep going back. Hope this helps.

Usually a great store to go to, sometimes like other grocery stores they have very long lines without having more 2 registers open. So lines can stretch long distances. Great people and friendly service. The best times to find the best deals here are Mid to late days of the month. Within the last two weeks of the month. This is a small store by comparison, so some brands are limited or entirely unavailable. This also calls into question about why some produce is imported, while it's literally being grown down the street cheaper and at a better quality. Good luck finding Garlic Powder as this seems to be a rare luxury, because none has been found in over three weeks as well as other basic cooking products. Overall great people, questionable store and prices.

My sons birthday party was this past Saturday, and he turned 10.Somehow, someway, the bakery person put an 11 on his cake. I called the same day, and was told the main deli person would make it right and call me back. I waited for a couple of days for the returning call, but never got it. So I called back and was told that they could give me a discount on my next cake, as if I’d order one there again after this experience, and when I asked why she couldn’t respect me enough to call me back she just puts me on hold for 5-10 minutes before the ‘acting’ store manager answered and basically told me that it had been a week. He couldn’t do anything. The party was on Saturday, and today is Thursday. Not a week, but okay. He expected me to still have the cake and bring it in. Worst experience I’ve ever had with food city.

Pharmacy person was very rude didn’t want to take time to fill my script. Said “ that’s not in my machine” I questioned and she said sorry. Food city in maynardville filled it by the next day. Lately deli folks are also bothered whenever you come to order. Overall just not friendly. Fast counter older woman was very friendly. I’ll be taking my buisness to Maynardville from now on.

Clean and friendly people, but I'm never buying anything from the deli. I was ignored the whole time I was there and I stood there for 10 minutes and everyone that worked back there just walked passed me several times and did ask what can I get you. So RUDE!!! It's employees like that who creates Karen's! Food city is to expensive anyway 😕

Friendly staff and the store is clean and neat. I thoroughly enjoy the Friday and Saturday sales but it's also nice to find good deals on items during the week too. The meat is fresh as well as the fruit. It's my favorite local grocery store. Thanks for also having the Dolly Parton cake mixes in stock as I'd heard they were only carried at Kroger. I am pleased to buy my produce here which is provided from local farms.

I went to the pharmacy to pick up medication. The lady at the counter wasn't listening fully of what i was there to pick up. Eventually I got what i went there for but spent way too much time being there. My niece drove me and we had our kids in the car, with an adult of course. I ended up being late to take my medication when it should have been a 5 minute trip to get my prescription it ended up taking over an hour.

We have lived in many areas and been to many stores. The stores produce is just okay a lot of the time it goes bad two days later. The store is very crammed as well as the parking. We only go here when we have to. Workers are super friendly though and helpful.
