The staff at this Petco is a joke. The first time I came in seven minutes late for my dog grooming appointment, and I automatically got rescheduled by a tall thing girl. She said I was late and it gets automatically put onto walk-in mode and somebody walked in and took my appointment. So I proceeded to stick around and there was no one grooming. Any dogs for the next 30 minutes until a lady walked in with her poodle. So I bring her in a second time and there’s three girls chitchatting in the back and then finally one comes out And feels my dogs ears and tells me she can’t groom her today, because her ears were matted,

I went in to replace a leash which was somehow snagged in a weird way. The associate looked at it and voila fixed it. I of course bought other things but unfortunately didn’t get his name but should be mentioned great attitude and can tell enjoys working there.

Horrible! The grooming department canceled my appointment and when I called 15 min later, they just told me it was filled! Waited to get appointment. Horrible horrible service!! Never going. Also the groomer was Hannah that must have cancelled.

Good pet store; they usually have what I need. Tip for new customers - buy online and pick up in store to save a little money if you spend more than $50. That's easily spent if you buy a big bag of food and treats.

I'm a fish guy. I enjoy going there and looking at all the fish and reptiles. It's like a mini zoo. You should go look at the birds, snakes, reptiles, lizards, fish, including Betta fish, Cory cat fish, gold fish and so many more!

Couldn't find price on a ball. Two sales people looking and Couldn't find it either. So I took picture and did a search with it and found it in Google search at Petco. They were both amazed that I was able to find it like that. The what I believe was the manager gave me a 20% off discount because I found the correct price and numbers they needed to ring it up. Very happy to get the discount.

Petco is my favorite pet store in Spring Hill! They arethe friendliest and have best prices. Their rewards program is great too, my bohdi gets a 1lb bag of free dog treats on his birthday.

I realized I rated the wrong location prior. The spring hill location has always had decent employees have not had any issues other than the care for some of the reptiles the temps seam to be off and the humidity however they do have a variety close together so the humidity tends to fluctuate however temps should be more stable. The animals looked healthy over all

Very sweet and helpful staff :) I came to petco because of a bad experience at petsmart and I was very pleased! I adopted a sweet cat and was able to go through the process easy and quick. Very well priced items and great discounts as well. Definitely recommend this store to people looking to adopt and anything else!!!

Not a good experience, folks! Had to wait a long time for someone to come to the register and there was a long line forming. Not enough employees scheduled. And they are not following guidelines. You never leave your register with customers in the store. This is always the policy in retail. The store had an odor, too. I know it's a pet store, but the odors have gotten worse.

On April 21, I came into the store at the wrong grooming time. I simply had the wrong time - I asked if they could work my dogs in sooner since I was all ready there. Certainly, I wasn’t expecting nor upset if they couldn’t get them in sooner. The manager came out with his chest puffed out, angry and yelled at me and raised his voice for even asking for a different appointment time. I will never come back to this store - if the manager was having a bad day that’s obviously fine but to take it out on me for asking a question is unacceptable. I would imagine Petco would not want someone like this in their stores who was verbally abusive to a customer.

I came here to look at betta fish. They all looked horrible. You can obviously see they do not take any care of them. Some were nearly starved to death. Nearly all of them had very dirty water to the point it was hard to see into the cup. Its always like this. They're not good employees. They shouldn't have fish at all!

My cat was having some digestive issues. The store associate not only helped me with finding the right product, but also told me about the vital care program. I had no idea this was an option. She advised me about the program, told me the benefits, and walked me through setting it up on my phone. Thank you. This was so beneficial to me.

This is a very nice Petco location compared to others I’ve been to. The employees are friendly and helpful. Their cat/dog sections are great, no complaints there. As far as the reptiles go, I’ve come here a few times now for insects and unfortunately they don’t have the best selection for dubia roaches. When I went this most recent time, there was little on the shelves. Out of what was available, most of them had dried up food blocks and a decent amount of dead roaches and their shedded exoskeletons. Whatever supplier they use had incorrect sizing as their labeled mediums were actually x-small. The container stated it was a 24ct which cost me a little over $12. I usually go to Franklin Aquarium pet shop for my reptile as I can get a 50ct medium dubia roaches for $14-$15. I knew what I bargaining for coming here instead, so I can’t complain too much. At the end of the day, my lizard is happy! I still plan to do other animal shopping here!

I go here for my two dogs to get pampered and such. They do so well there and the staff knows who they are as soon as they come in. Kevin is an excellent trainer as well. He has been training our puppy and she’s doing amazing. Their vital care program is wonderful as well. Didn’t think I could get so much value from one pet store.

I'm frustrated to write this review because a few months ago I wouldn't think I'd have to. I've taken my dog to get groomed here for a year. He's nervous and I was told by a groomer that worked here a few months ago to "give him something" before a groom. So today I decided to try benedryl and upon mentioning it, I was refused service by a different groomer for medicating my dog.Half a benedryl won't do anything and another employee literally told me to medicate him. I understand store policies but don't hold them up based on who is or is not working that day. They'd already cancelled another appointment and rescheduled me for today without really asking. I reworked my schedule for the grooming to get it done and they refused to help me.I won't be using their services anymore. They need to communicate better.

Order dog collars online the night before on July 14 we drove to Petco which is a 45 minute drive from us. They did not have the collars when we got there so we wasted a trip and gas.

I have been to a couple shops around the Columbia/Spring Hill area since I moved here about 10 months ago and out of all of them this is my favorite place to go, all of the staff is very helpful,polite, and knowledgeable! The last time I was there Noah even helped me pick out/design an entire new fish tank and helped me decide which fish would be good together!

We’ve taken my dog to this Petco a few times for a bath and it’s never been the best experience. Today, we had a bath scheduled and when we dropped him off, the manager was rude. 30 minutes after leaving him, we get a call from her repeatedly saying “you need to pick him up immediately” and that he bit a staff member. My dog who is almost 5 years old (and we’ve had him the entire time) has never bitten anyone. She was incredibly rude once again. We came to pick him up and asked to see where he bit this person and they continuously told us they were on a break because they were getting “medically treated”. For a small bite?? They acted not only as if my dog was some ferocious beast but as if it was OUR fault. Terrible customer service!! Will never go back.
