Pruett's is an exceptional place to shop for groceries with lots of whole food choices, a great wine selection, interesting fresh bouquets or a delicious sit down lunch or something for takeout like their amazing crazy fresh sushi. Everything is delicious!. The bakery offerings are exceptional and the staff have won my devotion by painstakingly recreating my sick friends favorite dessert, ginger Florentines. This is a special place ran by a great local family. Thank you Pruett's!

Pruett's Market is THE grocery store of the Signal Mountain! They are super nice people, and you can tell that they love serving the community. We spend a lot of time there, and they have a large variety of meat, produce, and baking goods!

In todays world, it is a rare thing to see a community grocery store. Pruetts is a staple of Signal and has remained a wonderful place to not only pick up groceries, but to support a local family business. Love this place!

we were there on Monday 2/26/24 and the person bagging our groceries was openly hostile, threw our groceries into the bag, didn't say 'thank you'; she had long pink-dyed hair in a pony tail. We're okay paying a little extra for our groceries but the least you could do is be polite, or maybe just not hateful??

One of the worst companies I have ever worked for! There lack of communication is unbearable. They can't even get a proper schedule out. They take you for granted and dont appreciate your hard work or value who you are as a person.. Employees are allowed to lie on you and you can get fired for that. Customers are also allowed to lie on. You can get fired for that as well.. Even when Mini customers have said how wonderful this person is It doesn't matter

Convenient but pricey. Good selection of groceries and wine suited best for Gen X and affluent millenials. Clean and can eat a meal here, too. Great selection of locally baked bread and local craft beer on tap. Outdoor/under roof gathering area is very nice. Thursday evening burger grilling is good with reasonable price (Only late spring through early fall).

I had to meet a friend early in the morning at Pruett's on Signal Mountain. I'm not very familiar with businesses on Signal Mountain, so I was looking for a sign. Guess what? Pruett's doesn't have a sign on the main road! Unbelievable. Since it was the only candidate in the area, I pulled up to the front door looking for signage. None. It was only after the sun started coming up I saw the word Pruett's near the top of the front. It was in dark brown letters on a dark brown background! I get understated but this is a little too much. Put up a legible sign, Pruett's!

Not sure what exactly is causing the lack of morale, but I have literally never experienced more miserable and dejected employees anywhere. Forget about the fact Pruett's overcharges, I've learned to accept this. I am not sure if it's a general lack of leadership, the fact the workers overworked or simply unmotivated/underpaid, but whether I am trying to order deli meat, get a muffin, or simply ring up my groceries I am consistently met with miserable employees who leave me feeling it is a major struggle for them to perform even basic job functions. Phrases like "you're welcome," or "have a good day" in response to common niceties are virtually non-existent. As great as the concept of what Pruett's can potentially be, the poor attitude shared by staff is enough to cause me to go elsewhere.More than one occasion, they'll see someone coming and walk off. I've held off on writing this review, because I wanted to be certain mine was not just an isolated experience. I'm now convinced it is a pattern, and not just me. Unfortunately, it appears to be contagious. I just left the store, purchased a bunch of items. After paying and saying 'thank you' to the clerk, she walks away (no "you're welcome") and without asking if I needed a bag. It's these little things that are often overlooked, but it's what separates the 'ducks' from the 'eagles'.Really hoping they can inspire some motivation and attitude shift, it truly adversely impacts the user/shopper experience.

The staff are friendly, and the pizza and subs are nice. The outdoor space is unique and they host pretty good get-togethers year-round out there. My only problem is the high prices, which is somewhat expected because they are taking advantage of being the only grocery store on the mountain. But everything else about them is great. I would highly recommend getting lunch here and eating outside where they have trees, spacious grounds, and live music on weekends.

Today we visit this little store the staff was friendly and helpful, except of one... "The deli lady" .... perhaps she had a bad day. We asked for boar's head ham, to which she nicely replied "all are boar's head" so then we pointed at the low sodium ham, but suddenly something pissed her off out of the blue!!!, it felt like in the movies possibly we were being watched by her master and then she was an android being reprogrammed into rude mode commanded to ignore humans, and literally she tossed/slammed the ham at the counter giving us more than we requested, no eye contact whatsoever just immediate dismissal. We were puzzled, maybe she didn't like that we chose the low sodium ham?... but we moved on, I just thought it was hilarious at the beginning but I'm trying to be empathetic and I thought it was simply something random, so then as we were gathering couple more things, we noticed she was enjoying a conversation with another customer, then we thought perhaps we were one of the unfortunate customers that the deli lady put her frustration on. Anyways, it's very unlikely we'll return to this pretty little store, and not for the scary deli lady but because we were just passing by and visiting more of the surroundings of this beautiful state and its people... Some people.

Very expensive prices, and some merchandise that isn't at all family friendly. 2015 hipster vibes.

Always, and I mean always have friendly and respectful people who are very good at helping you find what you need, offer suggestions and make sure you feel comfortable and important. The bakery and deli staff are fantastic and the meat/poultry/fish section people, each and every one of them are the most wonderful.I travel to Pruett's Market from Dunlap about every 10 days just for the fresh vegetables, fruit and the best beef, chicken, pork anywhere around. When available, I always get their in-house meatloaf, I highly recommend it...when it's available. There is quality at this market, in its people and the food items they offer.Well worth the picturesque drive up to Signal Mountain. Our favorite place to shop.

Second time this week (neither of which was the first time!) that sale items have not registered properly. Be aware that they put sale stickers on the shelves BEFORE the supposed sale-price updates clear their system, so BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!

My first time in a Pruett's since I was a child and my mom shopped at the Hixson location occasionally. Then it was just another grocery store. Not any more! Now Pruett's Market is reminiscent of a big chain luxury grocery, but much better. It's completely local and locally owned. I bought tomatoes grown a few miles away. There was beef from Athens, TN and cider from Kingsport, TN. There are huge selections of cheese, wine and beer.Add to all that, the prices are comparable to the usual grocery store rather than the more upscale shop they are. Service is excellent. I couldn't find the brand of cider I wanted and their beer buyer came out and led me right to it, along with offering to try and order the same maker's mead for me. Even if she isn't able to get it, the effort is more than I had expected. The only downside for me is the location. Driving to Signal Mtn from Hixson isn't something I can justify on a regular basis. If they ever open a location anywhere in the northern parts of Chattanooga I'm sure I would rarely shop anywhere else.

I'm visiting the area for a short time. The store is so nice, clean and everyone is very friendly. The selection is incredible from specialty coffees to Bakery, all kinds of prepared meals and pizza. A huge fresh meat counter. I wish I could stay here longer.

It is a fancy grocery store with a very good variety of product. Overpriced if comparing with others stores in Chattanooga, there is no competition and I think bring up the product to the top of Signal Mountain could be an extra cost. They have a Deli restaurant,

Gem on the Mountain-If you are looking for a mom and pop style Whole Foods, this is the place to go. From a great beer and wine selection, fresh produce, flower arrangements, vegetarian/vegan items, fresh cut meats, and so much more. You can't beat how great of a spot it is to visit. I love to hike up at Signal Point with my friends every other week, so we always stop for a bite to eat because they have sandwiches, salads, and even fresh sushi available! Plus they have draft beer, can wines, coffee and more to go with your food. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable on products. This is a must stop and shop place.

Love the quality at Pruetts! The food they make it always fresh and delicious. They have locally sourced options when in season, a great organic selection, delicious bakery/breads and the pizza is like from a restaurant. It may be a bit more pricey but that’s because there is no corporate monster behind this local grocery store.

I love this place and the food, but as of recently there has been a smell outside that I can only describe as "penny smell". It makes sitting outside worse and really just makes you want to leave quickly.

This is a great place to buy groceries, or buy food, or buy prepared food, or get a pizza, or find sauces for your pasta that you've never seen before, or see treats that you've never found in another store,... I guess you get the picture by now. This is a great place to go for uncommon groceries.

I was pleasantly surprised. First time I've visited Pruett's since they did a lot of remodeling. I enjoyed the shopping experience and selection of products. They remind me of the Greenlife natural and healthy grocery store when it started in the small older building (for you who may remember it).
