This little place was a gem on our trip in the Smoky Mountains. I would say hands down best coffee we had in the area. The owners were very warm and welcoming. They had a large selection of outerwear. This included numerous, hats, stickers, and footwear. Just a great little place.

The store is awesome! They have a lot of good outdoor gear and a lot of it is very in style too. It was a little expensive but fair pricing. One of the managers there, Michael, was super helpful and really nice to talk to while we browsed. Great experience 👍(Also they have 15% off ENO equipment!!)

This place was close to where we were staying and it was an awesome little find for our family. Coffee was great and my wife loved the Chai Tea. Owners are super nice, knowledgeable, and great to talk to. Our kids loved talking to them about bears and everything else. They have some great clothing and gear too. Super sweet magic shirts for kids that you would never think until you actually see them work. Just a great place to shop at if you get the chance or are in the area.

This is a must visit each time I am in the smokies. The couple that runs this place are both such kind and caring people! They made us some very good iced coffee while we shopped. I recommend this place for any hikers that need new gear, or anyone wanting high quality outdoor clothing and gear. Always such a pleasure supporting this business, thank you so much

You MUST go to this shop if you are anywhere near Wares Valley! We visited the shop a few months ago and got some great deals. We picked up a Kavu Cooler for $40 minus 15% off, and found out later that it is a very rare Patten and worth $100 USED. They have a nice little coffee shop and snack bar, discounts and deals throughout the store, and here is my favorite part. The last time that we went, as we were leaving we mentioned a company called Kuhl and how much we liked their clothing. The lady who we believe is the owner said that she was about to go to a show and would see about ordering some of their clothing. Today we came through later than we wanted to, and it was well after 5, yet they were still open and extremely inviting and friendly. Lo and behold they had Kuhl signage and several nice pieces from them that were in stock. Do not hesitate to tell them what you want, what you would like them to start stalking, or even possibly for a discount, as I can tell the owners truly are in it for the Long Haul and are knowledgeable about how to make a business successful. Such a great little shop!

The couple that runs this place was extremely nice both times we went up there! I had to go back again for the cinnamon roll frappe! Best I’ve ever had! This is a must stop, cool products inside also

We ate breakfast next door and after we were done figured that we would stop in for 10 minutes. We ended up spending more time and bought some shirts, jackets, raincoat and more. The whole family was happy. The owners were also really helpful!

This place is a small family run business that definitely has quality stuff definitely! They definitely have the best coffee, we tried other locations and nothing was as good as the coffee they have. If your looking for good quality clothing and shoes also the place to go! Will definitely be coming back with the family! Amazing customer service

While being in Tennessee this is the BEST place I have been too. The people there are so nice and helpful. They have the best clothes and I’m a big fan of all their hats! Also i have had some of the best coffee I have ever had there. It’s amazing. I highly recommend to go when your here.

Super nice store with out having to go into the tourist sprawl down the road a few miles.Also, we great local intel about where to go to avoid crowds and enjoyed some great hikes because of this.Highly recommend and we will return.Sadly, I did not get any pictures.

This business was a great find on our vacation this year. The owners are very friendly and pleasant people. We loved shopping in their store and enjoyed their freshly made caffeinated drinks they offer. They had a large selection of products available to purchase and the prices were competitive. I think we shopped in their store 3 times during the week we stayed in the area. Great place and great people!

My family and I were visiting for the holidays from Miami and happened to stumble upon this store on Christmas Day. It was the only store open at the time and it just so happened to have a coffee shop. Our expectations were low due to the fact that it’s a coffee shop inside a outfitters store. I’m not even exaggerating when I say this, but it was literally the best coffee we’ve ever had. It was so unexpectedly good, we came back the next day and it was even better. We ordered a peppermint mocha frappe, chai latte, caramel latte, and a lavender frappe. The cherry on top was how welcoming, personable, and helpful the owners were. 10/10 would recommend, and will be coming back in the near future.

Wow this seemed like a really cool place and we were prepared to spend money. My family and I arrived last week and went in for coffee and to purchase some hiking boots and something from the really cool t-shirt selections. We had been on the road for a few hours and my 8yr old daughter asked to use the restroom. The barista, coffee lady super rude let us know in a horrible way that we were not welcome to the restroom. NO PUBLIC RESTROOM! I get it, but when you have people spending money, you should let the use the facility. Poor business ethic. I was born and raised in East TN and not use to anyone being this rude ever. Absolutely no hospitality in this place of business. It must be nice to be so busy that you can treat customers this way and stay in business.

I had to leave a review because I thought they did such a good job!You can really tell they care about the quality of their coffee, everything was made in front of us, and they let us know their whipped cream was homemade. My little sister was so excited to get a frappe with no coffee and raspberry syrup, like she does at starbucks, and she loved it. My other sister got a frappe with toasted Marshmallow and my mother and I got vanilla lattes. Everything was great and prices were comparable popular coffee chains, check them out!

My family and I spent the week on a visit from WI. One of the highlights of the week was coming into the store to visit with Mike & Heather, shopping for excellent merchandise, and drinking the delicious drinks. Their expertise on area hiking trails also made our stay better than it would have been without their help. Our family enjoyed stopping in each day to say hi and chat with Mike and Heather. Such a great couple.

This place is a hidden gem among the Smokies. The store is located on Wears Valley Rd, just a few miles from the crowds and traffic of Pigeon Forge. This is a family-owned business that sells anything you would need for your next hike or adventure in the Smoky Mountain area. The owners were super-friendly and even gave us a map of where to hike in order to avoid the usual crowds during the fall season. My girlfriend bought a pair of hiking boots, because the owner took the time to actually look at and measure her feet. He then gave her the best options for her particular needs, and never once tried to sell us the most expensive or elaborate footwear. You could tell he truly cared more about the customer getting just the right shoe and not about making money. That was extremely rare to find in the commercialized area of Pigeon Forge or even Gatlinburg. They also have a little coffee shop off to the side where they do pour-over coffee, and they care more about the quality of the coffee than making the cup fast because you are in a hurry. This is not some big chain coffee place, the coffee here is some of the best in the area. If you are looking for a ton of things to look at or hundreds of options, then stay with the online stores or the big-box places. But if you want to feel like you are truly cared about as a customer and not just another number or sale, then give GSM Outfitters a visit. You won't be disappointed.

This place has some top notch coffee and frappes. Don't miss their butterscotch frappe added with chocolate. A husband and wife run this place and they are very cordial. If your cabin is in and around Sevierville this is one must visit store which even has hiking accessories!!

My boyfriend and I were on vacation for a few days in the mountains. We are coffee SNOBS and the coffee/ espresso was the best we have ever had. BEST PEPPERMINT MOCHA LATTE EVER!!! And we travel all over the US. They also recommended places to eat which were 5 stars. We also purchased clothing which was top notch and made of recycled materials. The service was spectacular and vibe was amazing. Thank you so much and we will be back!!!

Quality products and super helpful owners who can advise on what hiking shoes/poles are right for you as well as offering where to go for a hike based on your interest and abilities. Lots of wonderful clothing to choose from even if you don't hike! A great spot to buy watershoes in the summer and flashlights that glow red for firefly viewing!
