In my opinion, they have the best fried chicken you'll get without making it at home or going as far out as Jackson or Corinth. Their birthday cakes are good, not really anything fancy but they taste great and they're willing to work with you on customization of simple sheet cakes. Just try to make sure your cake order is a week or two in advance if possible. And the deli in general is decent.As for the rest of the store.. Unless you happen to be there when meat is on a really big sale, you're going to pay close to double here as you would anywhere else. For anything other than their cakes, chicken and deli meats and cheeses, I'd say just go to Walmart or even Dollar General and you'll pay less for the same products.And be patient with the workers, especially those in the deli and bakery and the cashiers. Their manager is a right wench toward them and they could use a little grace.

Very clean store and nice, helpful workers. Everyone in the store is attentive and kind. The store is nearly organized, things are easy to find, and great set up. Fresh fruits and veggies, awesome meat department, good deli (chicken tenders and potato wedges are my fave). Look for great sales that happen often. It is really a great hometown grocery store. Open until 10pm.

Some of the best chicken I have ever ate from any Deli comes from Food Giant. We got an eight-piece mix it was perfectly priced that chicken was delicious and we enjoyed it on Father's Day. The next time you are in Selmer Tennessee this is a recommended by you got to stop in this place has everything that you could need

This is my go to place for fried chicken. You cannot best the price an chicken is fresh most of the time. Groceries are expensive but have more selection than Wal-Mart.

Great selection. Hubby loves that fried chicken, heavenly stuffing from the deli. Friendly employees. Very helpful. Good hours. Deli offers fried catfish on Fridays, sometimes on Saturdays. If you time it when it is coming out of the fryer, it is pure heaven! Checkers are very cheerful and friendly.

It's a good place to shop when your regular grocery store doesn't have what you need. The bakery makes fantastic cakes, pies and anything else you want. This place is located right in the middle of Selmer, TN. It is very easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

Food giant in Selmer, Tn has always exceeded in excellent quality meats, fresh produce and an amazing deli/bakery. The store is always very clean and they provide excellent customer service. Their hot plate lunches and chicken meals prepared in the deli are always very yummy. The prices are very reasonable and competitive with big box stores. I would prefer to pay a little more to get the quality and service they provide. I recommend shopping an employee owned company such as Food Giant. Let's all come together and help our communities by shopping local and employee owned businesses. Thank you to Food Giant in Selmer, TN for always providing the best in quality and service.

Great place to go grocery shopping. Although not as expansive as Walmart, they have great deals on a lot of items, especially meat and coke products. I took off one star because I'd recommend inspecting the bakery items before you decide to buy them. One time, they tried to sell us some moldy rolls, but that was a couple years ago. Maybe they are more stringent about their bakery items' quality as of late. Besides that, their bakery/deli lemonade is the bomb.com! So refreshing and it's a little sweet, goes great with their potato wedges or chicken.

A very pleasant experience! I don't have any complaints at all! The staff was very nice and the guy that was gathering the carts even asked me if I wanted him to help me put the groceries in the car because he seen that I guess it was taking a little bit to get all the groceries in there!

Have went to this store a few times and I must say the manager lady who I have dealt with at the main counter where they sell cigarettes and do the western union is very rude. She has no customer service skills WHAT SO EVER!!!!! I went to receive my western union and she Was walking right out of the office door where she refused to help me till after 12:30. So I waited till after that in the parking lot. Then when I went in she Proceeded to tell me the western union was down. How much of a coincidence is that? Real convenient for her. She never likes to wait on anyone has just walked by me several times on other occasions while I waited patiently. I then drove 35 miles north to the same food chain, another food Giant and had no problems at all. So I will be making a complaint to western union as well as the general manager for this location. She doesn't deserve to have a job that she really looks and acts like she hates. There are plenty of people who are More deserving of the position.

So sad. Food poisoning hazard from a nightmare. The deli has broken so many health codes it's a felony. No one would be able to keep that store open if a health inspector was to watch there operations for a week. Bet no health inspector is brave enough to actually check this stores food prep procedures, or Maybe the don't care enough.

The store is clean and they have a lot of items.When you go to check out, they have no clue that strawberries and the raw chicken needs to be separate. When the issue gets pointed out, the looks are unfathomable.P.s. It has happened on more than 3 occasions with different cashiers and different RTE and raw meats.

The shelves were stocked; aisles were clean; great specials in the meat department; and a friendly staff. The cuts of steak are some of the best I've ever seen inside a grocery store. All of the staff were wearing face masks and floor markers indicating the 6-feet-apart-rule are located throughout the store.

food giant is a great place to shop, the people are always nice and polite to me. I shop there quite a bit and plan on going back, there's one lady that works there that i just love to pieces and her name is Roxanne, she is a very good person and always has a smile for me .

I just visited Food Giant 4 days ago and ordered a white birthday cake with white icing. This was the second time I ordered a cake from there bakery for a special occasion. They did not disappoint!!!. Both times their cakes were delicious.

This is the only place I shop for meats in town. I also like the deli and the hot foods. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices, like most everywhere, are getting higher tho. That's the reason for 4 stars.
