Store employees are pleasant but, seem a bit overwhelmed with the " to do " activities. ( deliveries, stocking, arranging, pricing, cashier duties. ) Additional help at "truck time" seems to be in order. The inventory needs a facelift and some better organization is in order. I realize the employees are doing as well as they can , they need better scheduling. Most prices are very competitive and it is convenient.

We were passing through and stopped to get snacks.The store was well stocked, however, there were multiple boxes in the Isles causing it to be difficult to find some products.The associates were professional, however, neither associate were friendly. We were not greeted when we entered, nor ask if we needed help when we were searching for snacks.

This would be a great place to shop but it is understaffed and not kept stocked. The isles are blocked with stocking carts and these items never make it from the carts to the shelf. All the other dollar general stores are stocked better and maintained compared to this store. There lucky they got one star from me. The area supervisor should be replaced with someone that actually knows what they are doing. Hire some more people! Oh and the hours are 8am to 11pm. I showed up there at 7:30 and there is a hand written sign stating they open at 8am, go figure.

Dgstore has changed workers to much,they expect to much from some workers n others just float around doing nothing.They definitely don't get paid enuf for the things they are expected to do.dont judge them until you do the work or you know for sure who is suppose to do what there.Good luck dg workers,your gonna need it!

This store is a joke. So messy you can't find anything and if you do finid it there's a big cart in front of it of stuff that needs to be stocked. Junk sitting everywhere. Cashiers have a horrible attitude. Waited at the register for a cashier while another girl was in the office on her cell phone. I wouldn't even give it a one star but I had to so I could leave a review. There's four other Dlooar General Stores really close and none of those look as bad as Roan Mountain. It's a shame.

The manager there was awesome! Didn't remember her name but she was worrying about an elderly couple who's vehicle had the lights out on their car and waiting on customers she was just awesome!!!! 🤚Total high five to this store and it's employees!

Well...it stays messy. Most of the staff now is unfriendly! I think all the friendly staff left! One week you will find what you need or want and the next week it won't be stocked and you may not see it for months! They had Christmas stuff out in September! Disturbing!

People are lined plum back in store with one cash register working, with usually one setting in office doing nothing... Probably not paid a fair wage so what do you expect, two stars at best...

We were out hiking and got our socks wet. We needed dry socks to continue and ran into the Dollar General to grab socks. Thanks for being there! We were able to continue our hike!

The Dollar General in Roan Mtn NEVER has anything I go in there for. I'll drive to NC or to Hampton before I go back in there. Not to mention they won't let a customer use the restroom in an emergency case. Something needs to be done at that store.

Always low stock on the shelves, or completely out of an item, stock carts always in the isles with stuff in them, amd when u say something about it the excuse is "we don't have time to restock" yet there is 3-4 workers in the store, 1 at the register most the time, and the other 3 either sitting in the office b.s'ing or outside around the corner smoking, but they don't have time to restock and get the stock carts out of customer's way!! Go the extra 4 miles to Elk Park to that dollar store!

The store has been remodeled. The new manager is wonderful and very hardworking. The store has come a long way. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely horrible!!!Every time I go in, there is only one cashier and the lines are backed up down the aisle. Close it down or get more employees!!!

Employees should take more of an interest in cleaning the store, instead of taking smoke breaks when no customers are ready to check out.

What you need is out of stock, store dirty, don't keep it stocked alot of shields always empty.
