ReviewDue to my experience, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing fish from this business. My boss flew in for our annual visit to our office. I messaged their FB to inquire about a same day appointment to tour the Springs due to her flight leaving the next day. I was shocked she responded so quickly and the fact that she accepted to take us on a weekday was amazing! The property was breathtaking. It was beautiful and seeing the different fish was really cool! Miranda took over the company 2 years ago and was looking at expansion but hadn’t quite got her sea legs. While on tour Miranda was able to provide a lot of info regarding the fish and their history on the property. I did ask on numerous occasions due to the price if they were backed by a warranty or return with so many days. Miranda said “any problems just call me, I’ll take care of you.” Miranda and my boss were having conversation of her visit when Miranda advised she didn’t “ship” fish nor recommend them in a flight. My boss made the decision to cancel her flight, rent a vehicle the bags could lay flat in, and purchased additional packaging to prevent rolling. After completing the transaction , Miranda stated this was her first time “bagging” the fish and was struggling with putting the tube on the oxygen tank, turning the tank on, and also didn’t have bubblers. Once everything was finally set up she realized the vendor had sent her the incorrect bags so we would have to return in the morning for pickup. We didn’t mind and raves about the tour to our friends. The next morning (Thursday) I arrived to pick up the fish. I was 30 minutes late for our pickup. They were not ready nor even started. She was there alone and I knew with the size of the fish + water no way she could do it alone. I didn’t mind helping bagging up the fish, it was interesting. With the minor issues from the previous day and now this I was realizing how “new” she was. I ask again of the warranty/return policy. Miranda replied that she provided her personal cell to my boss. If anything happens just call her. After loading the fish Miranda advised the bags cannot roll. She stated the bags were good for up to 72 hours. That when my boss arrived home to simply put the bags in the pond for 20-30 minutes to acclimate. Then remove bags from pond into a tote, then pull only the fish from the water making sure no water from the bags were transferred into the pond. The fish were purchased on a Wednesday picked up Thursday for the 3h trip home. Home by Thursday night. Acclimated Friday and dead Saturday morning. My boss purchased shipping packaging to ensure the bags didn’t roll along with a rental that allowed them to lay completely flat. Had no issues. Accumulated as instructed. We reach out to Miranda on day 3, she responds with “oh test the water” and “I am sorry.” I asked if it would be covered or discounted under the return policy. She now claims it was only a two day policy. I was floored! Nearly 1000$ in fish were purchased not including rental, shipping packaging, cancelled flight, loss time, and now dead fish. It wasn’t worth it. The property, tour, doggy, and lady living on the land were just amazing! The tour itself is worth the drive but be cautious when purchasing fish. We felt so bad for the fish and hate they died. Since then we have warned our friends and family that had upcoming tours.
