This pharmacy's commitment to exceptional customer service is evident in my experience this evening. My daughter was out of her prescription at her pharmacy and there were no other pharmacies in my town that carried what she needed. I called Walgreens and spoke with Wendy. Wendy was my hero! Not only did she get my prescription transferred from my old Pharmacy to there, she also had what I needed ready for pick up in less than 30 minutes. Wendy went above and beyond my expectations and I want her to know how much I value that and also how much I appreciate her. When I picked up, the pharmacy team was very polite and had me my daughter's meds. Truly Walgreens was my lifesaver tonight. Wendy is such an outstanding person and I just want to extend my gratitude to her for being so wonderful!! Thank you!!

I sat in the drive thru for over and hour and a half waiting in line to pick up my prescription. There was a long line inside as well. Please do better to get customers their medications in a timely manner. Horrible customer service.

How many times does this pharmacy think sick people want to drive the hour roundtrip to pickup the prescription they called to say was “READY”, yet wasn't after arrived to pickup. Don’t call your customers saying its ready if you only have ONE bottle out of four ready. Don’t call your customer saying its ready then make them wait another hour after their arrival only to tell them you dont have enough to give them and a new prescription must be written. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY POOR SERVICE, NON-EXISTENT ORGANIZATION AND BAD DEPT MANAGEMENT!

Walgreens Corporate. Staff your pharmacies properly. The wait times to receive needed medications are ridiculous. You’re probably paying minimum wage and expecting these people to do the job of three while you sit back and enjoy profits.

Very horrible service. Consistently wait in lines over 30 minutes long every time I have to get a prescription. I never had any other pharmacy with this problem. I will be switching pharmacy’s I DO NOT RECOMMEND

This is the worst experience I've ever had just trying to get a prescription filled! They do not seem to have a clue as to what they are doing. I've tried to pick this up every day for three days and each day there's a different excuse why its not ready.

This place is absolutely awful. You wait an hour just for a prescription that takes 2 minutes to pick up once you receive a text confirming it’s ready! I will take my buisness else where from now on. I’ve used this pharmacy for years & now it’s a disaster.

The wait time at this Walgreens is horrendous. There will be 10 cars in the drive through and one customer will take 15 minutes at the window. Not sure if it is a staffing problem or just unorganization but they defintley need to improve. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your meds.

Pharmacist and pharmacy staff are very rude and unprofessional. I have been coming here for years, but now will be gladly switching to CVS. Never have I ever experienced such rudeness on top of lies with unethical treatment from a pharmacist who was sworn into by an oath. This poor excuse for a pharmacist should be fired, honestly the whole lot of them. It’s never okay to be treated this way, especially when you have a disease and depend on your medication. I have turned in the pharmacist in hopes this doesn’t happen to someone else.

WORST PHARMACY EVER! I had a prescription for 60. I got home and only had 10 pills in the bottle. Called them immediately and was told that the pill counting machine didn't give me enough pills. Said they would fill the rest. Went back the following day and no medication! Said they didn't know anything about it. Had to wait 3 more days to finally get it! They also put 2 different kinds of blood pressure in a bottle of my blood pressure meds. I didn't notice until after I had already taken the others. They finally replaced them with the right ones and acted as if was no big deal, seriously! They also didn't fill diabetic meds because they didn't have it, however instead of saying so, so I could have it filled elsewhere, they kept saying they couldn't fill it and no explanation, just we can fill it tomorrow, we'll tomorrow didn't come until 5 days later!! I have to have the meds or I could be hospitalized. They are rude and I'm done with this place! They are liars and so unprofessional!

stay far away from this place they are the most unorganized and Kayla is the most rudest person ever. She has absolutely no knowledge of what customer service is and will talk down to you. Like she is better than you. Horrible. and the Manager Matt - don't even go there he has the most I do not care attitude ever.Transfer your meds to CVS or go to Walgreens in Gallatin or Hendersonville. Where they know how to treat customers and actually care about the service they provide.

I have never had a bad experience at this pharmacy. The staff is always friendly, helpful and professional. In fact, they have gone out of their way to address issues for me on more than one occasion and I truly appreciated it. I have read complaints made by other customers in reviews and I will note that every time I go there to pick up a prescription for my husband or myself, I pull up to the window, give my info, get my prescription(s), and I'm done. Yet, almost every time I observe other cars that sit at the window and wait, have several discussions with the staff, wait some more, hold up the line of cars, and finally get their script and leave. Why is it that I have never had hold-ups that caused the line of cars to pile up behind me? Not ever! I have to believe that the problems are not on the part of the staff, but instead have to do with certain customers. The simple truth is that some people always seem to have a problem and always blame someone else. Enough said.

Waited over 2 hours for my prescription to come in. Never arrived. Had to transfer my meds to a Walmart in Lafayette. Also watched them proceed to lose someone else's meds. Do not come here

It's not fast, but they're super busy. All of the employees are nice and helpful. You're likely to find what you need here. I prefer Village Drugs for prescriptions because of the speed and such, but this is my second go-to, and my first go-to for OTC medications. The photo department was pretty fast, has been helpful, and did a good job the few times I have used them.

I was on hold for about 10 minutes waiting on the pharmacy. I wasnt sure about the stock online being precise so I wanted to ask an associate first before heading to the store for what I needed. When this young lady answered VERY RUDE and sounded p-o by her tone as if she was agitated by answering the phone. (I was 3rd in line on the phone). I asked if a certain item was in stock and she proceeded in a funky manner “No we dont have anymore.”If you dont have the skills to be courteous to innocent customers then it’s probably time to proceed at the exit! No “Hi thanks for calling Walgreens.” “Have a great day.” NOTHING! I will NEVER come back to this location, ever!Time of call was 12:11pm today, just so you can pinpoint this woman and address her unprofessional behavior!!!

Not sure what has happened but over the last year service at the pharmacy has gone from being good and helpful to the customer/patient is more of an irritation to the employees. Will be checking with my insurance about changing pharmacies. There were 4 of us waiting yesterday and all of us agreed service is terrible now.

At first I was skeptical of this Walgreens as it had a bad rep. But let me tell you this bad rep was truly for all the wrong reasons. I can’t speak for much of the facility as I mainly needed to use the bathroom but when using the bathroom it’s smelled amazing in there. As for the squishmallows they had none so that was the only reason I didn’t give them a 5 stars. But my girlfriend found a milkshake she liked in there so good for this Walgreens! Overall a good Walgreens indeed 8/10 would recommend!

I posted this 3 months ago. I called there today with questions and WOW nothing has changed. These are the rudest people ever. I am so changing my location from Portland to a different one. Worth the drive to do service else where. Pharmacy people..... They are just rude! I don't care if you call or go inside they never smile, never any small talk and service you like your the dirty on the bottom of their shoe. The people working in the store, now they are always greeting you, smiling, vey helpful and speak very kind to you. I'm about ready to switch where I go

☆ UPDATE☆ MONTHS LATER AND STILL HORRIBLE. IVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS AND IM TOLD IVE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY COPORATE DOESNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE!!! DONT COME HERE!!!!This is the worst pharmacy department. You have technicians that act like GODS with your meds. They lie to there customers treat customers horribly. I witnessed 1 tech treat an older man with such disrespect. They need to clean house in the rx..here it is months later and still horrible!

After spending 3 hours at the dr's office with my husband I then went to Walgreen's to get his medicine. I dropped them off at 11:30 and went back at 1:00. They told me to give them about 20 minutes and after waiting 35 minutes I went back to counter to see what was up. The script's were ready but no one called my name to let me know. One of the employee's was so rude..she was literally throwing the plastic container's that hold the prescription's... I wish I had gotten her name. I had never had a bad experience here before. I'm sure my husband and I weren't having any better of a day than this employee.

My Mom passed in Nov 2018. She had used Wayne Bandy as her pharmacist before Walgreens & followed him to Walgreens. She loved having him as her Pharmacist. I picked up her perscriptions several times, & the techs were always helpful. Lisa is great and never fails to answer questions or go out of her way to help. Along with the others as well. They have a hectic job & deal w/many problematic people daily. People like to complain at the drop of a hat, but Pharmacy workers have lots of legal rules & regulations to follow, along with dealing with a demanding public. I personally am thankful for the workers at our Portland Walgreens.

Went to refill my prescription on wed afternoon. They said they would have to fax the doctor because it had no refill. I called the doctor's office to let them know. I go back on Friday expecting to pick up my prescription. They don't have it.they said they would have to fax the doctors office. Hum thought you were doing that on Thursday. Now I will have to miss 4 days with out my prescription. No it's not pain medication. Although going with out it could cause me to loose my eye sight. Why would they care it's not there eye's. IWe are all just a paycheck for them. Gofigure. It isn't the first time. Think it's time to change pharmacies.

I would have given 0 stars if possible. My best friend went called this pharmacy 2 times. The 1st time they hung up on her.The second call the Pharmacist screamed at her and hung up on her. Next a neighbor of hers went in and mentioned that her friend had problems at this store. The pharmacist girlfriend told the neighbor that my friend had better never step foot back in that store. This is a threat towards my best friend that is a 73 yr old sweet grandmother and widow. Also the Pharmacist girlfriend broke HIPPA laws by discussing this with a neighbor. I asked her to sue them. Corporate has been called several times. My friend immediately changed to another pharmacy which told my sweet 73 year old grandmother friend that Walgreens sends them tons of clients because they treat people so badly that they are coming in telling horror stories about Walgreens Pharmacy and Pharmacist. My friend tried to talk to the management June 8 when this occored and was told that Walgreens Corporation would call her to make some apology. I have called corporate and spoken to several people and promised some kind of resolution. Still nothing. The pharmacist is supposed to be dating a co worker?? Isn't this usually a no no at most companies??? Oh yes the Pharmacist owns a lot of rental,properties in Portland and is well off. Does that give him the right to treat a sweet 73 year old grandma and widow like trash and disrespect her in a way no one ever has??? She wasn't getting any controlled substances or mind alternating drugs. If you think I am going to let this go you are mistaken. I will keep calling corporate until my friend gets some justice in this. She treats everyone with respect and deserves the same. Mr. Bandy is the most rude and hateful pharmacist that I have ever heard of. I hope that Walgreens finally realizes that he should retire because he is losing more business than he is bringing in and that his girlfriend shouldn't be discussing other people HIPPA protected rights private and not make out right threats against my sweet friend that is a grandmother and a widow that was treated like a dog. I am officially boy cotting Walgreens. There are morals, standards and common decency that our elders deserve. If you have an elderly person in your life please transfer their medications to a Pharmacy that will care, be kind and not be Elder Abusers. I have a Wonderful Pharmacist and I appreciate him. Its because he has empathy and compassion for me a middle aged disabled woman. 0 stars for Walgreens.

My dad doesn’t drive anymore & it’s up to my sister-in-law & I to get his meds. Last time I went to pickup his debit card was expired (which is convenient that they keep it on file). No problem. I paid for it. Went home & tried to call & give them the new card info. Wouldn’t take it over the phone. On Saturday my brother took my Dad by with his new card. Wouldn’t take it because he wasn’t paying for any meds. Told him to go on the internet (he’s 90) & do it or bring it back when he got his next meds. My sister-in-law went yesterday with the new expiration date of the card. Wouldn’t take it. So today she takes the new card to pay for the meds & they couldn’t do it because they had to delete the old card and can’t put the new one in until he makes another purchase. I’m glad I only use Village Drugs & I’m going to get his stuff moved there too.

Every time I have a prescription sent to the Portland Tn location it’s ALWAYS an excuse as to why it’s takin them 3 hours to fill a prescription! I am just getting a bottle of eye drops they don’t have to do anything to it but put the label on it! Every other pharmacy NEVER takes more than 30 min to fill a prescription! This place needs new employees or needs to shut down! I came from 3 towns away, stopped at the ER and the bank and my eye drops are still not ready! Sorry excuse for a Walgreens! Every time I have ever came up here in the last 9 years it’s ALWAYS give me 20 more minutes to finish up and then they make you pull around and you end up waiting at least 45 minutes! Just ridiculous!!!!!!!!

Do not shop here! Open theft, shopping in the store today and noticed a bigger markup from the online prices. Kid behind the counter openly admitted that yes everything is cheaper on the website and no they could not match it. It was not a small difference either, it was a $20 difference!

Absolutely the WORST Pharmacists in the World. 4 Prescriptions called in at 3pm , no record of it at the Store in Portland, TN. It is now 7:30 PM and my Doctor is off for the night. DO NOT USE WALGREENS !!!!!!!!
