Old school and historical building and business. It’s unique in style and have breakfast sandwiches. Have homemade jellies and jams. Front porch has old statues carved of wood. A cool stop. It’s right off 127 plenty of pull off parking even fo rv’s.

Such an amazing place to visit. Everywhere you look there is another unique item, an old picture, delicious treats and even great burgers! To top it all off, the Fudge is DELICIOUS! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a great find on our trip to Pall Mall.

Today was the second time I’ve gone to Forbus. It’s about an hour and half drive for us but a great trip to make taking 4 granddaughters!!!! Great memories. Lunch was good, folks were friendly and girls loaded up on novelty candy.

My dad wanted to stop to buy some fudge, it is delicious! Great place to stop for many things! Go in and look around. Fried green tomatoes and other food, 5-6 different flavors of fudge, ice cream, honey, jam, beautiful lamps... It's a treasure trove!

Was a great place for years but since the grandkids are running the show the atmosphere sucks. They are rude and very ungodly. Will not waste my time and families time every stopping in again. To bad I have to even give one star. Their southern charm is in the trash.

Food is okay, the store has a lot of interesting things to check out. Kids bought a bunch of marbles to play with, they have a small dinning area clean bathroom and a decent selection of drinks. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through.Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Lots of toys and candyWheelchair accessibility: No stairs to climb

My daughters and I had stopped in for ice cream on our way home from Kentucky. This was the first visit this year, we had been there several times before. There were 3 teenagers working the grill/ice cream area. It was not busy, the boy was making fries, a blonde girl standing with the deer in the headlights look on her face and then another teen dark haired girl was putting something in a bag and talking at the blonde. After waiting several minutes an older lady asked if we were waiting for ice cream, I replied yes please. The dark haired girl, annoyed came to take out order. My oldest daughter with her infant in her arms ordered a cookies and cream regular cone. After handing the cone to my daughter the girl looks at me and says what do you want? Very cold very rude and I said wow, that's rude. She giggled. I got 2 more cones. These cones has barely enough ice cream to see over the top of the cone, kind of like a kiddie cone. Went to cash out and the older man said just the ice cream, no smile, no small talk, no friendly nothing and I said yes, then I asked him if those were his grandkids, he said a couple are, my guess would be the 2 girls. Honestly the boy seemed to be doing his job and smiled at least. Maybe I hit them at a bad time but dear Lord No Southern Hospitality there at all. One of my daughters works at a similar place closer to our house. She said wow if I ever said that at my work or wasn't smiling when customers walked in Miss... Would have my butt. We will not go back there again

Authentic 100 year old general store. Staff is always friendly and the milkshakes are way over the top indulgent! Food is great too and lots of old time candy you can’t find anywhere else.

Old fashioned general store with a lot of nostalgic items inside. The food they have is excellent, especially the cheese steak and burgers. Great tourist stop for a quick lunch.

The food is good and so are the people. I had the Fried Bologna Sandwich with all the fixins and frieson the side. It hit the spot. I felt like I was a kid again. You should stop by if you're driving through. They have a great selection of Menenite jams and sauces and every kind of knick knack to make your home special.

For an Authentic Appalachian experience see Forbus General Store ( 3902 N. York Hwy Pall Mall, TN 38577.Established in 1892, the place still has old wooden floors, is heated by a big wood-burning stove and has that old 19th Century charm.I am always on the lookout for heartwarming "Mom and Pop" restaurants. If you envision a amazing local, warm place to order a homecooked breakfast/homemade fudge...this is it! And yes, their breakfast was amazing. Unique items for sale, antiques lining the walls and shelves....locals sitting having coffee in their overalls, it is perfect.

While my wife, daughter and friend were hiking in Pickett Memorial State Park in Tennessee, I took a drive to Static, KY on US 127. Along the way I stopped in Pall Mall, TN at Forbus General Store for some breakfast and funsies. Established in 1892, the place still has old wooden floors, is heated by a big wood-burning stove and has that old 19th Century charm. And yes, their breakfast was amazing. I shoulda tried their homemade fudge too! The atmosphere in the place was great. Despite the very cold day outside, it was toasty warm inside. The owners were friendly as can be. Well worth the stop!

Delicious food! The bacon burger had REAL bacon- not shelf stable bacon. The fries were not over portioned. The jar milk shakes were over the top in the best way possible! There is seating inside for eating as well as a large gift shop to browse.

Came here as our last stop of the day on the 127 Yard sale. Spoke to the gentleman on the register for his dessert recommendations. We chose the handmade Over The Top chocolate milkshake in a jar for $7.99. (You get to keep the mason jar). It was delicious with melted hot fudge that hardened at the top and smooth real ice cream shake. The small brownie nest pin the whip cream was the best!! It deserves its name and I highly recommend a try!! Seems expensive but was well worth it!! Great pit stop on a back road.We also visited Sgt. York burial ground and church nearby. Simple little city and fun stop while on the 127 Yard sale.

While being out for a drive, to see the local area on a rainy afternoon (visting a buddy with my brother, both of us from out of state)He suggested stopping for burgers at the General Store.Enjoyed looking at jarred jams, preserves and jellys.Along with different jarred fruits and vegetables.Grabbed a few small souvenirs while looking through the stores selection of oddities, art and trinkets.Devoured a cheeseburger with the everything and about the tastiest french fries I believe i've ever eaten. Can't forget the gentlemen (old timer) sitting behind the cashregester, he welcomed us inside and wished us a good day when leaving.Hope it won't be to long before visting my buddy and heading back for burgers.

I stopped here looking for a good old fashion country Ham, and because the wife wanted to, but me too. I saw in one of the pictures they had a ham hanging. (Please price doesn't matter to some of us) I'm a youngster to some (60) but I love old traditions.I wish the wife and I hadn't had a microwave burger up the road a bunch of miles. They had a young lady flipping greasy burgers oh my how my mouth was watering..But what really caught my attention was the plaque on the outside. My family came from down here somewhere. God bless Wm Johnson, and God bless my Uncle Bill Johnson.Oh and P.S. I found my good old country Ham at a Hucks truck stop in Kentucky

Stopped by for the first time and had lunch. What a nice surprise in the middle of the country. The catfish was delicious and they even make their own fudge which was amazing. Cute store with all kinds of fun gift ideas. The service was friendly and efficient. Glad we stopped.

Forbus General Store is a MUST STOP shop! The atmosphere is one-of-a-kind! They make their own fudge & it's some of the BEST I've ever had. (Try the Pig Butter fudge...OMG!) Their food is awesome, too. I highly recommend the burgers & Philly cheesesteak, & the tater tots & french fries are always piping hot & SO crispy! The malts & shakes are TERRIFIC, too!

Old time general store in the middle of nowhere. Never knew this place existed. We stumbled upon it at the hwy 127 yard sales. They have the regular snacks & drinks plus some gifts & collectibles. They sell jams & other homemade food. The really nice part was they have a little deli right in the store. They fix burgers & fries & other goodies. They have ice cream & milkshakes. They have homemade cookies, cupcakes & muffins. There are tables & chairs where you can sit & eat. They also have chairs & benches on the porch for some porch sitting. We will go back here when we are down that way again.Food was delicious & the people were really nice.

I've been here a couple of times myself, I live the old general stores such as this one. I'd go back there again and again if I lived closer and hadn't moved from the region recently.
