I just wanted to give a shoutout to Penny & her new associate that she was training. She has been my “picker” for my curbside orders & has been wonderful! She not only has been very precise with the quality of the items chosen (in which i am very pleased by) but also extremely attentive, knowledgeable & overall sweet! I hope you see this Penny! Thank you for making my life easier & bringing kindness to people’s day!

I went the other day and it was snowing. The nicest young man named Avery came and helped me with my bags and helped me load them into my car. It was nice to see a friendly face! Will return. 10/10 experience.

Help me understand why Kroger in Oakland is open until 11pm, but not 1 person checking out customers at 9pm. The only option is self checkout and staff walking or standing around watching customers have to check themselves out. I am more than capable of checking myself out, but if that's going to be my only option, then where is the self checkout discount??????? I understand price increase and even understaffing issues, but what are these stores planning to do for your customers when we become your cashier for free???

Tonight about 7:40 p.m. we went into Kroger to get a few items we were blessed with one of the self-check employees smiling faces Mr Jalen has a wonderful attitude and great customer service it is not too often that we go to Kroger but when we do it's nice to know that there is smiling faces such as his Mr Jalen needs a raise...if all employees were like him we would come back more often

I normally wouldn't publish a review, but this Saturday, I and my husband visited. We made some purchases, and went looking for "Boiled Custard". An employee was stocking the refrigerated section for milk and other items. I asked about boiled custard and the response was a tart "You Don't See Any, DO YOU"! I now shop in Somerville at a family owned grocery store. NO LONGER A KROGER CUSTOMER. Good bye Kroger

Not a very large selection. No specialty cheeses or anything more than basic grocery stuff. out of stock on multiple items ALOT. We need a super Kroger the way Oakland is growing

There's only two employees who are actually respectful. Worst place to shop customer service does not exist, the management and workers are super rude and will not be a customer here again. Also their self checkout machines are terrible and always glitching.

Constantly having to check expiration dates because this store doesn't pull expired products even if you tell them that they have a whole shelf of expired product that went bad 4 months ago.

The absolute worst Kroger in the entire chain. I have shopped at Kroger all over the Memphis area and in many, many, many other areas around Tennessee and other states and the one in Oakland, Tennessee is by far the worst. Starting with custom service the employees are unbelievably rude. They will do anything possible to not assist you. They ignore you, walk the other way when they see a customer approaching, roll their eyes when you finally do catch one and ask a question, have a disgusted look on their face while they are dealing with you. They are horrible. The selection is terrible. You can tell that the company doesn't feel as if the town of Oakland can either afford a better selection or that we don't know enough about the products to deserve to have the option for the better products. It's really rather insulting to be honest. I have to go 18 miles to a different Kroger to find about half of the products I need or want. It's just a horrible experience to go in there to shop and if I can help it I try not to shop there but sometimes I don't have a choice. I hate this location.

Their pickup is a joke. Several times, we have waited nearly an hour or more. Walmart down the street rarely takes more than 5 minutes. Management seems apathetic to the issue because it never gets resolved. Many customers get frustrated and leave. This is not to mention how they are often out of products, even when service is somewhat quicker. You can go in the store, shop, and check yourself out in the amount of time it takes to receive your pickup. I would advise doing that if you come to this store.

You spend half your life in the line at the drive thru pharmacy.....the drive thru should ONLY be used for two situations, dropping off a prescription and picking up.....cars should not sit waiting for 10-15 minutes when there's only one or two cars ahead. The pharmacy should enforce this rule so we're not spending tons of time waiting on people who should be going inside.

The pick-up order system is lackluster to say the least. You don't get a quarter of your items, and they substitute items without your consent, yes even when you select no substitutions, but worse is they rip you off when you buy sodas. They are 3 for $12 in the store, but if you do a pick up you will have to pay full price.

There is clearly a line at the meat department but yet not one employee has come to assist. I called the store number to even get assistance and all they said was that they would try to get someone over there.. How Ghetto. I even went to the deli department and asked for help and the old white guy looked at me and said he couldn’t help although all he was doing was just standing around .You cut meat either way so what’s the difference wrapping up tilapia ?? Ugh now I have to shop in Bartlett

I ordered groceries for home delivery from this location and they never delivered my order. Kroger took the money for the groceries out of my account but did not deliver my order. Attempting to work with customer service in order to get a refund has been a time consuming nightmare. I still have not received a refund and am very upset. Worst customer service ever. Also, this is the second time this has happened to me when ordering groceries for delivery from this location.

I am so sick of Oakland pharmacy filling my prescription with generic when the computer clearly states NAME BRAND ONLY...not only that, they never call and ASK if I could take the generic, or to let me know they don't have the NAME BRAND, they just fill it with whatever!!! which leaves me to have to search for another Kroger, transfer the prescription AND go 30 miles to get it!!...IM DONE, I have been told they only carry a full supply of Opioids but not any medication you might seriously need.

I like the Kroger in Oakland because it is smaller and though they may not have as many products as other Kroger's, but they're consistent with the products that they carry. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They have a new thing called scan and go which makes your shopping experience a lot easier. They also have the Kroger pick up, so you can place your grocery order and go pick it up when it's ready. They have replaced a lot of the cashiers with Scan & Go. I find that to be very convenient and faster. The pharmacy is also a far better than Walgreens. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes.

This kroger is one of the nicest in the area and is always stocked. It is well worth the drive to have access to the foods Kroger has for sale. They also have 3 free pickup for your groceries if your order online and schedule a pickup time where they will load your groceries for you.

Far better than you would expect a Kroger in a more rural area to be. Friendly staff, decent selection. Doesn't have the selection of a Kroger in town (particularly produce) but if this is the most convenient location it will have 90 percent of what you need even for nicer recipes.

While Kroger has items Walmart doesn't, I was shocked to find a huge wrapped pile of ice creams in the center of the isle that had not been put in freezer yet. The top was semi-warm but see pretty melted.

Employees are always helpful and friendly. Several employees have really gone out of their way to assist, in the store and the pharmacy. Selection not as good as bigger stores, but the people make it worth it not to drive into the city.

Most of the employees are friendly..The woman who is apparently in some type of management role up front is not friendly at all.. And the only other thing is that they're always out of everything I'm looking for..Yet if I drive to the Kroger in Lakeland they almost always have what I'm looking for..

I LOVE the pharmacy staff!! They are the most helpful and kind people I've ever dealt with in any pharmacy. This Kroger has some of the best and friendliest employees of any Kroger in which I've ever shopped.

Kroger has such good people there, but today I left without 4 Staples for us, Gatorade in large size, medium egg noodles, nutter butter cookies and Kroger Brand strawberry spread . These are not fancy, or especially unusual, but is typical of the items I go to Walmart for every time.Fewer choices. Narrowed aisles. I wonder if the additional sales of specialty items are worth making the specialty area so big and the center aisles so small.

I shop at this Kroger for most of our food needs. I continue to have problems with the store not having Caffeine Free Classic Coke it's the only soda my wife can drink. That being said there must be others who drinks this soda as well because they are always out of this product. The last ones I purchased was at the Lakeland store. They blame it on the vendor but that could be corrected if that is the problem.

The last time I came in here they refused steam some salmon for me. Unless they changed policies I don't see how steaming seafood has suddenly turned into a health hazard. I will never be back at this location.Fortunately I can travel a bit down the road and have a better shopping experience.

Asked for help at self checkout to put $100 on a gift card to avoid the registers line. Employee told me ‘I could do it myself,’ so I did. I left and spent my money elsewhere, corporate WILL be receiving a call from me.

Kroger, Oakland, Tennessee is in my opinion the best grocery shopping in Oakland, Tennessee. I prefer Food Rite in Somerville, Tn. Smaller local grocery with better prices. Produce is usually better also.
