They would rather try and sneakily charge extra than just let me buy a cart full of goods at the ticketed price. They lost hundreds of meals today because they tried to separate a set and make me pay for both pieces separately. (When they were clearly originally tagged as a set) Management should be better trained or fired for crazy pricing and not dealing with problems.

These prices are retail++I have donated probably 15 car loads full of items over the last two years. I need to rethink that. $50 for a used set of nothing special glasses. $$$ for broken book ends… eeesh embarrassing

I was in your store and found 3 items that were priced over retail and this makes the fourth time I have experienced this at the Oak Ridge location … so you get donations me inflate the price and make people think that Jesus would over inflate prices to get more money for your charity to allegedly help people. I for one would love to see your P&L sheets and how much of the money you collect by overpriced items sells actually goes to help those you claim to help. I am reminded of when Jesus flipped the tables of the money changers. I think this latest trend of aggressive pricing is running off the people who buy from you because they can’t afford te new price of things. And I think you are making yourselves look greedy to the ones who donate to you. You obviously have some well off people who don’t understand the real life of people who have to thrift shop running your businesses…. SHAME on you for using religion to take advantage of people. Hopefully you will address this issue and the issues of how you are tarnishing your reputation and literally taking advantage of people. Again here’s to hoping that you take a close look at your actions and find a way to actually help people instead of just capitalizing on your charitable status. Prove what you claim and be a light or continue as you are!?!

Recently went to the Karm in Oak Ridge,TN and the prices were OUTRAGEOUS. My family and I were looking for a reasonably priced dresser and weren’t able to find 1 dresser for under $199! Several of their DONATED USED furniture pieces were $300+ and some up to $600+!! Is the profit from donated goods really supposed to be THAT HIGH?!! We found a much prettier, better quality antique dresser on Facebook market and much happier!

I have no idea how this place sells anything with their prices. Especially considering everything is DONATED.Edit: Your response doesn’t change what I said. The prices have gotten worse and worse and regardless of the “good” you do, it’s honestly shameful that you’re asking what you do for most everything in the store. Maximizing profits off free goods is a scam, whether you’re a nonprofit or an individual.

90% of donations gets thrown into "Bob" (karms clever code for trash) and the other 10% that actually makes it onto the floor sits there at prices that these products didn't even sell for when they were brand new. There is definitely not a lack of donations pouring in therefore most everything you donate here will likely be thrown into the trash compactor. Rusty schwin bike selling for $150? T-shirts selling for $15?? A brand or B brand regardless its ridiculous. Basically don't shop at this location until it is under new management and make the haul to the Farragut location where the pricers are reasonably pricing items for what they are and not what they sold for when they were brand new.

Horrible prices on stuff that they get for free. I don't get why people buy from these places when you can buy most of these products for new for less.

Shame on you. Made a donation and went inside to shop. Found 2 little toys, nor vintage, nor electric, nothing special really other than cute. One was priced $12.99 and the other $9.99. I use to love shopping here. Your new pricing is shameful.

I love KARM stores and everything they stand for. The employees are always very nice and helpful. I especially like how they let you know how much of an impact your purchase made in the local community (your purchase provided X number of meals).

Purchased a keyboard for my granddaughter from the Karm in Oak Ridge. When she tried to use it, she found out that it didn't work. We called about exchanging it for another one. We were informed that you get what you buy whether it works or not isn't their responsibility. What a way to get donations by theft!

Was in total shock today when I seen some of the prices on items . I used to love to come here and shop. They have pretty much turned into a retail junk store. Do these people not realize all this stuff was donated to them? I seen a fake pair of men's Jordans for $150. Over priced and miss sized... They asked me to round up and donate my change. I'm not shopping there anymore. I want to know what the higher ups at this store make a year. I'll shop at real thrift stores from now on

Way way way overpriced, especially for a thrift store. You could buy many of the items there brand new and it would be cheaper. Saw a worn out bra for $16! Saw multiple storage items from the dollar tree marked up 2-4 dollars higher. I’ve personally never seen a Karm charge remotely close to these super inflated prices. I do not mean to be rude at all but whoever does pricing needs to reevaluate.

Overall I like this KARM. Lots of items. The people who flip items have caused prices to go up on some merchandise. Luggage was high as were some decor items. Did score some nice pants that were petites, which are hard to find.

Just like most of the other reviews say, it is WAY overpriced. How can they charge $27 for a wreath made in 1995 that is stained and falling apart? Don't bother going here if ur looking for deals.

I was really shocked at how things were priced ABOVE retail. I get it that this is a charity that does really good work. They had a partial set of Pier 1 dishes that cost a full third above what Pier 1 charges for the entire set. Throw pillows for $15? Crazy.

I have tried this store from time to time & it still comes across as snobby. I'm not well dressed when I go in but I'm not trashy. I love the nicer clothing but the snootyness of the floor employees keep me from being a regular. The store in Powell, on W Emory Rd is awesome!

Prices way too high for what they're selling. The majority of the women's clothing brands are old navy, kohl's and lularoe - not designer labels. And yet they're charging up to $20 for these items. It's a rip off. And, if you're like me, and are looking for vintage and unique pieces, you absolutely won't find them here. Try the Goodwill in Clinton or literally any other thrift store.

WOW! Talk about OVER PRICED!!! You were given this stuff as DONATIONS!!! You ARE NOT Kohl's! I went in looking for some cheap men's t-shirts to wear around the garden and house... There lowest price t-shirt (that was in Very Worn condition)was $8.50.With prices going over $20.00... Shame there is SO MUCH GREED. I will go to Walmart and buy new shirts for less!

Extremely over priced. I was looking at some shorts and they cost more there used than a pair I bought brand new from the same brand. Ridiculous. Everything was extremely over priced.

I was a bit sceptical after reading the reviews on the pricing, but I actually really enjoyed the store! It was very well organized and the clothes looked new on the racks. I found many brand new with tags boutique tops for around $10 each which is an amazing deal! The mission of the store is stunning and I would rather donate/shop here than other chain thrift stores.

I think they had some decent items, but they are way over priced for a store that receives donations. For example, adult name brand logo sweaters were $11-$15. That's higher than Platos Closet's (I've been to many across the country) and they buy the items in their store. They don't offer any color discounts, but they did have a military discount. I'm not sure if/what organization they are selling these items for...

I spend approximately $400 a month in this store as I purchase items to send to Haiti to help the ladies I know down there who are struggling. I spend $250 on my last visit and 3 pairs of the shoes are not wearable. The elastic on a new pair of slip on keds has been cut off, a pair of sneakers I puchased were coming apart at the seam of the toe bed, and the other was peeling bad. Yes I know I should check them before purchase and I give everything a once over but not a thorough inspection as I’m expecting that karm would not put out shoes that you can’t wear and price them at $15. Goodwill allows exchanges with tags attached within a few days so I assumed a store like Karm would do the same. I took them in asking to exchange them and was told it was finalsale but she could call the manager which she did. The manager came and said I should have looked at them closer and stated she saw the keds were cut when she put them out. Well why in the hell would you label cut shoes for $15 and put them out when they aren’t wearable?!?! This stores customer service is terrible if you have any issue.

I haven't had much luck with finding decent looking clothing for a toddler boy but expected at a thrift store. I think their prices have gone up and on some items are over priced considering their used and/or worn. I'll still shop here as I have been able to find what I need at a good price at times before.

The Oak Ridge KARM store is nice for a retail store let alone a thrift store. The store is always clean and organized with very good lighting. The staff is helpful when asked.

The people in the Oak Ridge KARM store are very pleasant, the store is clean, and I really like the lady in the donation center. She has a wonderful attitude that is refreshing. Since Goodwill and Salvation Army left I feel that my donations go to a good cause. Thank you for your service!

First, I don't understand why the KARM in Clinton closed because I really liked going in there but now I visit the one in Oak Ridge. I stayed away for a long time from the Oak Ridge KARM because it seemed the girls that worked in there thought they were working at Macy's. If the prices were lowered I think more stuff would sell and more money would be made. I took my mom in there a few weeks ago and she wanted to leave about fifteen minutes after we arrived due to things being so expensive so we bought nothing. We know it goes to feed people but the customers that shop there aren't in to much better shape to spend a lot of money

Super high priced. $80 for a bathroom over the toilet cabinet. Might as well go buy new stuff. $7 for used and stained gym shorts. Same thing at Walmart for $9. I used to buy stuff from them every time I went in there, which was a lot because it is 5 minutes from my house. Now I usually don't buy anything from them. Maybe every couple of months.

The KARM store I go to is well-organized, has excellent quality and variety of items, and the staff are very friendly and polite. The quality of the furniture is really good and the prices are reasonable. I go there frequently for used furniture. You don't have to sort through a lot of junky stuff. I've found some real bargains there.

I go to the Oak Ridge KARM pretty often. Last night, the employees were really loud! And also I bought a pair of Mae Brown Coach sneakers, some time ago. I was told that those shoes are expensive, and they accused me of stealing them!!!! I told them that I paid for them!! Then they said "oh sorry that we harassed you" ! So I am not supposed to go there anymore, so I will not!!
