This place was a disaster there was only one employee actually doing all of the work and being kind to customers let me explain..So today on April 15 2024 Thursday, there was one employee doing all th work the other one and the manager was in the inventory room doing only God knows what,me and my mother get up to the cash register and then we are about to get done and then the manager comes running out and yelling at the cashier who was doing nothing but her job and being polite, turns out a woman stole a buggy full of stuff worth $300 and the manager was blaming the only person who had been doing her job. This is very unprofessional and I will never be going back to this dollar general ever again but if that cashier gets fired it will be messed up and honestly the ones who should be fired is the manager and other worker.

I go in this store daily, today was the worst it's been. When I first got there the girl at the register was so high she couldn't ring up the lady. I didn't see another employee in the store until she screamed across the store for her. By the time I checked out they were both outside smoking and only the self checkout was open. The store had 4 people in line behind me and probably 6 or 7 families still shopping yet they were outside smoking. I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing thing.

As always the line was so long 15 peopleThe manager was looking at prices 😕The self checkout was out of order needed money put in.She took her time.I'm not sure why but I never have a good experience at DG

On July 11th 2022, they took part of my advise and added a self-checking lane which helps the customers that are checking out and the staff as well, I was glad to see some the workers that were there when I was last shopped The reason I give this store a five star rating now is because they are making changes to meet busy customer demand, (with a heafty price tag on their part), the floor is clean and the workers are friendly, I would shop here without reserve. Congratulations on the new changes. Shop here today you will be glad you did.

Clean store, nice help the lower star is because they only ever have one register open which backs up across the store. Then no one wants to move or can move. The changed the direction of the line but still have only one register which keeps it moving super slow. There is always only 2 maybe 3 people working the store which seems to be 1 or 2 people too few for a night shift.

It saddens me to give such a low rating but they truly deserve this one. More products on the carts blocking the isles as there is on the shelves. The attitude of the newer employees is just horrible! I tried to buy canned dog food for two weeks and it was still on the little cart blocking the same end cap. This particular dollar general will never get my business again!

Costumer service is generally awful there. No matter how many people are in line, they rarely will open a second register. The cashiers are typically slow, don't seem to care about being fast and efficient to get people checked out quicker and they aren't very friendly. There are a couple that do a great job. Typically I only go there if I just need a thing or two cause it's close to my house because I know it's going to be frustrating.

Not one for complaining. Dad and I went to this specific store. An employee parked next to the entry door entered without a mask and started immediately working without a mask. This is very unusual and they have a huge sign on the door requiring masks. The cashier was wearing a mask.

I live within walking distance from this dollar general. It always has what my Mom and I want and need. Only thing I will say is sometimes there does need to be 2 registers open. Sometimes I go in and they will have both registers open and sometimes they won't. I would say they need to have both registers open when they have a line of people their. Other than that they do a great job.

Always understaffed. Shelves are under stocked. Unable to use official Dollar Store coupon app in store due to cellular signal blockage inside and around the store. Public wi-fi offered is insufficient to be useful. If you need a buggy, grab one from the parking lot on the way in. There probably won't be any inside. There's lots of room for improvements to your shopping experience that could be made, if management really cared. For now, It is what it is. Lacking and unimpressive! Make me edit my review with an apology and praise. I promise I will, if deserved.

The Dollar General store in East Oak Ridge is busy most of the time. It has very nice personnel. I think this store should be made into a Super Store so it could carry more products.

The new manager keeping clean and you can find the merchandise, good customers services, I love it.⭐⭐⭐⭐Before manager was rude, dirty, not friendly I still remember her name Chelsea was her name, can't find merchandise, she was smoking outside or talking all the time.

Even though they just went through a remodel before Christmas the store is chaotic again. It does look like maybe new management because when I've went in the last couple of times they're aren't as many carts of freight all over the place.

Minimal cost, maximum results. Items needed were available and accessible. Service was professional, accessable, and readily avaialable.Facility was convenient and functional for the disabled too.Checkout was efficient and smooth. There was no wasting of time by waiting in a check out line.I will return to this Dollar General and the other Dollar Generals in and near this town.

The associates at this store are great! They always speak to me when I enter the store. The know where everything is and the checkout is usually fast and most definitely friendly! The Dollar General Corporation should be proud of this location.

Employees were rude and nothing was stocked. Used to go there everyday almost since its close and we never seem to remember everything when we go grocery shopping. But everytime I go there they always have boxes flooding the isles.

Only 1 cashier and the line was wrapped around the isle. The other employees didn't come to the front to assist and the cashier working was bad mouthing other employees in front of customers. Very unprofessional and the lack of customer service was pathetic.Revisited the store again and the same thing happened. The line 6-7 people deep, 1 cashier and no other employees in sight. Took me 15 minutes to buy 1 item.

If you are in a rush and just need a thing or two, you may want to go somewhwre else. One must wait in line for a while at check out which can be extremely frustrating if one is in a rush. I don't recommend going between 4 and 7 because of the lines at checkout. Often seems over staffed and isles are not as organized as they should be.

So handy when you don't want to go to the grocery store, or another department store... I'm always there for a quick pick and sometimes some of the bigger items I buy, like paper towels, laundry soap etc.

Staff is amazing. Once I had to call and asked them to tell my husband to get milk when he came in. The gentleman went out of his way to find my hubby and make sure he picked up milk :)

I've used this DG for years and the only thing that has changed is the revolving employee's! Super slow lines, crowded aisles, and definitely not the place to go if your in a hurry. Sorry DG, but you got to step it up a bit.

Fairly typical, I think this one might be a bit bigger than the one on the other side of town, yet smaller than the "Market" variants that have started popping up in Knoxville. Possible to get unlucky with stock levels on random perishable items like orange juice, other than that a DG like any other.

Currently a line of people across the store and one register open. The manager or whatever just walks past the crowd and disappears. No reason she can’t open another register. This place needs a overhaul starting at the top. Ridiculous to stand in line 30-40 min waiting to check out. I could have went to the opposite end of town to the other dollar store and been home by now

Good general store for anyone on a tight budget. They have a little bit of "everything". However, the employees could be more attentive and agreeable. Plan on waiting in line...

Very friendly staff, but corporate needs to spend some extra money on payroll! The place is always a mess, because no one is ever there to take care of the sales floor.
