This functioning Grist Mill is one of the best preserved in Tennessee, in my opinion. It is an overshot wheel style that runs off a sluice and Mill race that is high up on the hill. The state park uses the upper level as a souvenir area most of the time. It is fascinating to watch it in action. We really love visiting Rice Grist Mill during each of our visits.

This antique Mill and Thrashing Barn behind the Lenoir Museum is so picturesque and peaceful. The little stream that runs through, and the gorgeous trees surrounding the area make it so tranquil. It is absolutely a must see!

It is so peaceful. Just a quiet little spot to let kids play , walk many winding trails, see a little history. Near the Norris Damn. Nice shady little picnic areas not covered. Very clean . There were others there but not crowded. Would recommend for a relaxing day, streach legs( a few mins from interstate), picnic, or a quick little history lesson.

I had a wonderful time today in Norris Tennessee photographing several places in the area. One of them being Rice's Grist Mill. Norris has a lot to offer from fishing hiking camping picnic areas a marina cabins that you can rent and a wondrous variety of historical structures and history. If you are ever in the area check it out for yourself you will not be disappointed. Lucky go so now

This is a very scenic area and is great for photos. The nearby river is also pretty. The mill was closed when we were there. I'm not sure when it is open.

This place is exciting if you're a bike rider I had the most fun out there today then I have since I started bike riding some of the trails are rough rugged and raw going over the handlebars warrants man just all out great time out there I suggest anybody that wants to go bike riding go out there just have a little bit experience before you

We always visit the Norris Dam every time we're in Tennessee. It's such a pretty place. However this time we were sitting and I saw something I've never before. Researched it and it is a mite. So be careful near the watermill. you might take home an unexpected guest if you're not careful!

Performed a wedding here and it was lovely. The mill and barn that is set aback are a great space to visit no matter what your doing. While I was doing a wedding there were people playing the creek in front of the mill, people taking prom photos, and a family having a picnic.
