Just visited this Family Dollar. Had 3 items and was ready to check out. No one at the register, so I paced back and forth a few times, and noticed a worker stocking shelves, so alerted her I was ready to ck out. She said, ok I'll meet you up there, as she continued stocking. I came back to the register and waited another minute, thinking she's on her way. Checked again, she's still stocking and then about another minute she starts heading towards the front while saying, "we've got other things to do ". As she's cking me out, she comments, " this is going to take awhile". I replied, excuse me..she said, " for future reference, if you come here, it's going to take a while ". I said is it just you here?, she replied, yes, for now. As I was leaving another associate was coming in. I was very disappointed in her lack of professionalism and I won't be back. Very bad customer experience.

Rude service at register was buying pokemon cards one pack for my son and lady made the comment " so your teaching your son how to gamble at a young age" kept my cool didn't say anything it blew my mind I guess he not good at it I have spent thousands with no return just something Said that was stupid and uncalled for don't recommend this family dollar

Clean and clear Isles. Clearance clearly marked. Not so friendly but working retail is an unfavourable job and thankful as well. Great job on cleanliness though. A few items out of stock but that's distributions fault not the store.

So, the store was very clean and very organized. I do have to comment on how unfriendly the manager was. She never said a nice word and looked like she hated her job. Im not one to make bad reviews or be nasty. However, the staff was rude three times to me within a short ten minute period. I asked to use restroom and the cashier looked annoyed. I ran across a box of laundry soap I lifted up and handle broke, I made her aware of it and she seemed even more annoyed and then I entered an isle the manager was doing some stocking in and buggievwascin my way she moved it out of my way in rude manner.... As if again the paying customers are bothersome to the staff. I voiced my opinion on the redness of staffed to manager. As I stated above this store is the cleanest I've ever been in but the most rude staff I've ever seen. Manager being rude is bad. So because of that I'll never shop there again I don't like feeling as a annoying person when I'm a customer. If you hate your job please find a new one.

New Market Family Dollar is the neatest and cleanest one I have ever been in. Staff is very friendly also.

*NEW REVIEW* 06/02/2020 - I dont understand what happened, but all the staff are hateful, angry, and want nothing to do with the customer. The manager always watches me when I go inside the store like I'm an inconvenience or a criminal and isnt friendly when I go to check out. The front of the store is a mess and the layout is not ideal to get around with alot of people in the place at once. The main reason I have decided to change my review is due to how hateful a staff member was to me after I just asked her about her day. Go to the Dollar General across the street.*OLD REVIEW* Great staff, Clean environment, Always have the shelves stocked. I'm glad I can just drive down the road and get what I need.

Peggy, I believe is the manager was very rude. She was rude to everyone even her employees. I'm not for people losing their job but she should be fired or wrote up. We had bought an item that was on a rack marked 50% off. It didn't scan as such which was fine. She kept saying it was buy one get one 50% off. We went back and read the sign several times to make sure we didn't read it wrong. We told her again what the sign read and if it wasn't half off the sign needed to be removed. She would not listen to reason and was raising her voice. Since the item wasn't on sale we ask for a refund. Even though we had just checked out she said she would give us a gift card. Anyway we left with the item, because she would not give us our money back. It wasn't a big deal to us but she turned it into a big deal. And you should not about yell at your customers. I would hate to work under her. I really feel sorry for the cashier she needed her at the front and the manager said no not unless she really had to, in a hateful tone. People need to learn common curtiousy.

I went to this Family Dollar during the take an extra 50 percent off of clearance items. Some of the items did not ring up and I had purchased them at other Family Dollar stores and the employees showed me a list from corporate that had discontinued items and that they were to price override them at the register. I tried to explain this to the manager and she told me I am not selling it to you for that and put all the laundry products behind the register. If I could say anything positive about the store I can say it was clean and well organized, but if you are looking for bargains during a clearance sell don't bother, because they will not give it to you and keep it for themselves.

My husband stopped by on May 29th at 8:30 p.m. to purchase cigarettes. Two staff members were outside taking out trash and bringing outside items to the inside. One staff member even went to her car. My husband was standing at the counter waiting for help but was ignored. Both employees saw him standing there and never offered to help him. I witnessed this also as I was waiting in the vehicle. Very poor service at the New Market, Tn store.

This store is fairly clean. The biggest down side is that sometimes you have to ring a bell for s cashier and then wait several minutes before they come to help you. I guess they don't schedule enough help.

The store is always out of things that I need. It is never stocked and it is always short staffed. You have one person working when there’s a long line of customers which makes no sense. Sad commentary on a once great store.

Had items that were supposed to be Clearance but would not honor the clearance sign because the item wasn't tagged with a clearance price sticker. Manager wouldn't even price of for me even though it had the red square for summer apparel.

Clerk and store manager are not customer service friendly..they are very unprofessional. I will not stop here again. Both clerk and store manager felt it necessary to talk to the customer behind me about an ice truck , vs tending to my check out process.
