Awful! I usually go to the PetSmart on W. Thompson Lane where they do a fabulous job on my Great Pyrenees + standard poodle mix. Despite having a detailed conversation about trimming only by the eyes and sanitary areas, Cara completely botched my dogs face and head. When asked why, she told me “It was just a lot.” No matting. No nothing. Just because she felt like it. I specifically told her NOT TO CUT anywhere besides the trim areas and she took away our Lola’s beard, shaved her head down, cut off her sides, and the top of her chest. NO GROOMER SHOULD DO WHAT THEY WANT TO YOUR PET JUST BECAUSE THEY DO NOT FEEL LIKE DOING A FULL HEAD OF HAIR. Will not be returning to this location and I suggest you find else where.

So sad I didn’t read the reviews before. I showed up with photos of what her haircuts have looked like before to the groomer (Tammy) and she told me that since she wasn’t matted it would be easy and could be done. My poor dog is so itchy from being groomed wrong and I had to go back with scissors to fix spots that had been missed. Don’t book with Tammy! She also added on a $20 extra brushing fee after she said she didn’t need any extra.

Warning! Please avoid this place! They are very unprofessional and don't seem to care about the dogs they groom. When I dropped off my dog Luna, she was extremely scared, so I stayed there for four and a half hours to watch them do their job. Unfortunately, they did a terrible job even though I asked for a full haircut and spring package.While I was waiting, I saw one of the groomers pulling on a Goldendoodle's face and ears. It was so sad and painful to watch. I feel terrible for that poor dog.I am very particular about where I take my Luna, but we will never be returning to any PET SMART.

It was an awesome, fun place to visit with the kids. We bought fish, and I appreciate how knowledgeable they were. Also love the water testing and variety of fish . Professional and love, they acknowledged and included the kids in the experience .

I had made an appointment to get my dog groomed and I called them to let them know I was going to be running a few minutes late due to an accident. They told me that as long as I made it there by a certain time she would still take me. I arrived a minute earlier than she told me and still turned me away saying I don’t have time. I get it I was late, but don’t tell me to rush to the store when you’re still going to turn me away. Complete waste of time and rude. Will not be returning.

Would not recommend. I’ve taken my pet to Petsmart in other cities and had a great experience. But I just moved to town and took my dog to the Charlotte Pike location and would never go back.Tinsley groomed my dog but her nails weren’t trimmed like I asked so I called back the same day and the said okay bring her in Friday. So I brought her in and had to wait over 10 minutes for her to be seen. So when I’m finally let into the salon I say, I’ve got an appointment with my attorney so I can’t wait any longer so I’ll have to swing by after. Then one of the workers Marcia started speaking in an incredibly rude tone saying you can’t drop off your dog for a nail from. I reminded them that this was supposed to be done at her previous appointment, I rearranged my schedule for them to fix it and I had already waited far past the time it should’ve take. Marcia continued to say things like “Well SORRY it didn’t work out for you today!” And again she said “it’ll only take 5 minutes.” So I asked the employee what the time was and it was 10:14. I told them they were already 14 minutes behind and had never started and Marcia had been arguing with me for 5 minutes during the time my dog could’ve b en taken care of. I regret tipping Tinsley at my initial appointment, Marcia’s attitude and tone of voice was rude and trashy and I don’t recommend anyone going to this location. There was a woman at the register in the retail area who tried to help by getting the store manager but unfortunately I was pressed for time so it appeared to me that it’s not the store employees but just a few bad apples in the grooming salon. I left with my time wasted, the nail trim still not being done, and am disappointed in the lack of consistently quality between Petsmart locations. This one is a bust - don’t go.

I love this PetSmart!! It is always so clean and tidy, and easy to find things. But Paris at the front…she is the cherry on top! She is always so sweet and kind, and I love getting to see her when I go to get my cat his prescription food. Thanks Paris!!

I’ve had my dog groomed here multiple times with no issue but yesterday I had my poodle groomed and they did not do what I asked for or what we discussed at all. They claimed she had mats even though I had brushed through her hair just a few days before. They completely shaved off fur we had been growing out for over 6 months to have a specific haircut. I’m so angry with this because my called to inform me but only after they had already cut it all off. I’m beyond dissatisfied. Photos of what I asked for and what I got.

I will not be returning to this petsmart. The groomer that was going to groom my dog was actually scared of her and made her nervous and scared .. my poor dog was crying and laying down to show her belly and kept crying and screaming and even peeing in the floor because the lady was being super rude and demanding. She never growled or made any defensive move at all, and this lady starts fussing and yelling this is not safe u need to take her to the vet to be sedated for a bath!! I just had her bathed at petsmart in Hendersonville not long ago. They gave her treats and talked sweet and she went right to them no problem. This lady (Tammy) never gave her a treat or said a kind word to her. She traumatized her. This was a really bad experience. My dog is a small nervous and easy to scare dog she's never been mean to anyone! She is super kind and humble. She's never growled at another person or anything like that.

Took my doodle to the Pet Smart on Charolette Pike Rd to get groomed and they were so incredibly lazy. She was mildly matted and they completely shaved her body and left her tail and ears, and what they shaved was so choppy and uneven. They didn’t even bother to touch her ears and left terrible mats on them, which is so bad for their ears and can cause health problems. They didn’t trim her paws or clip her nails either. I had to take her to the lady who used to groom her in Alabama to fix her because it was so terrible.

I had my 9 month old golden doodle groomed at Petsmart on charlotte yesterday.I am not sure what happened to him but he won’t walk. He will only sit and cry. I am not able to find any visible signs of an injury. But he will not run and play. He will not climb into our laps. He does not act like himself.His haircut is not great. It appears that they shaved his face for some reason.Please be mindful if you are having your pet groomed there. I intend to call and ask if there is camera footage.

We moved from out of state and were surprised how long it takes to get a grooming appointment. We were happy to get on in a week, but now we know why. Very choppy cut, and long hair around the mouth was left, so it hangs on his tongue. Ugh! We didn’t noticed it when we picked him up, or we would have said something.

We of course we want the smartest dog so we try to visit often. Not sure we have seen much difference yet but it's only been a year. Basically he was in kindergarten and still has 11 years to go right?? Breaking it down like that really does help keep us in check. I really dont have any complaints at all. It's a clean store, the employees are nice, and we are really enjoying and trusting the process of PetSmart making our pet smarter. 👍#bearbear

Took my yorkie “Tater” to get a Bath, nail trim and specifically told the woman do not shave my yorkie only trim his face and legs. Told her if she needed to match body to legs then only take a half inch off his body but do not shave that i like him a cute little fur ball. She layed out samples of how short was I willing to go on his hair and I specifically said again no shave. I pick my baby up and Did not recognize him. I was shocked and asked her why she did that after i told her several times no shave and her answer was “oh it will grow back” 😂 being a hairdresser myself to humans I asked her how would she like for me to shave her hair and tell her “oh it will grow back”. I was extremely upset 😭 spoke to the manager who was very kind and understanding. Her name is lindsey so any one goes do not get lindsey. Before and after

Store employees everyone from the manager to the cashier to the floor to The grooming staff there are really really nice, especially Leo, they all love our pets like get-down-to-their-level like and give belly rubs and talk to them. My dog Shadow now actually looks forward to coming to the store...he's a very anxious dog and barks it's crazy every single time I need to bring him to get his nails trimmed. This time I took him to Banfield and he met Mycaela and dr. Jones... absolutely outstanding service from both of them I really feel like he was taking care of and they care about him and his health. I recommend this PetSmart great service thank you very much PetSmart for giving great customer service!

We visit this Pet Smart and the Banfield Vet located inside on a regular basis. The Customer Service Associates are always helpful and we LOVE the Veterinary staff at Banfield.
