This is my review for Elizabeth at this Petsmart location. My pup (toy poodle named mama) has visited Petsmart’s grooming for her entire life (12 years now). And fortunately, I have NEVER had an issue with my services. Grant it, her cut may be a little off, but never a big issue. I dropped mama off at 8:30 this am. Yes, we were late. Yes, I called beforehand to check if we would still be served. Picked her up around 11. I did not immediately notice her eyes because her top knot is full. Less than 30 minutes after picking her up I noticed she was looking in the direction of my voice but her eyes were not open. The worry started there. I have gone back to Petsmart twice now. First time back, Elizabeth didn’t bother to come see about the pup she groomed that had an issue; another groomer rinsed her eyes with solution. Waited until 2p to go back, maybe her eyes needed time??Furthermore, Banfield told me to monitor her and make an appointment tomorrow!!! I’m stating in my review, if my dog goes blind, I will in fact consult a personal injury lawyer or someone specializing in animal law! It’s 9pm and she STILL CANNOT SEE! Her eyes are swollen, watering and oozing. I broke down crying because I am so concerned. I simply wanted her groomed. But she was harmed in the process?? Furthermore, I am writing this review for the customer reading to choose wisely!! I feel like I failed mama as her protector. Beware of Elizabeth! I wish I caught the name of the veterinarian on duty as she was absolutely NO HELP and turned us away because she didn’t have time. Beware of this Petsmart! I am heartbroken!

I never give negative reviews but I would want someone to let me know. When I first arrived this morning, no one seemed happy to be there. There was no friendly greeting for me or my dog. When I went to pick my baby up, another lady was in there working on a dog and she snatched his face and yelled at him. I told her that was not nice and she said, “Well, he keeps wiggling.” And he seemed pretty still to me. Of course he’s going to try to move his face.My dog looks ridiculous. They do not know what they are doing. I am so thankful that he at least is ok and it will grow back. The PetSmart I normally go to in MO is fabulous!!! I am so disappointed and will NEVER go to this store again!

I have two beagles, I took one last Sunday and she saw Penny, who was amazing and very sweet. Today, I took my boy in and right off the bat I had a bad feeling. I didn’t catch her name but the white girl that was working the desk in black scrubs and a mask with glasses on, was super rude to me when trying to check in, telling me I needed get him vaccinated soon because it was time like I wasn’t the one who just showed her the records. I dropped my dog off and tried to tell myself it was just busy and they may not be in a good mood (I’ve worked retail so I understand) then I wait for almost three hours, he was getting the bath and nail trim and last time it took barely 2 hours. I waited a bit longer and called and they told me he had been done and my groomer had left. They were confused as to why no one called me. Then as soon as I go in, the same girl that was working the check in was yelling very loudly and angrily at this beautiful sweet baby dog trying to put the lead on him. The other girl in there with the dreads was also being mean to the dog she was grooming. I can only imagine how they act when no one is around???? Bottom line is; I should have read these horrific reviews before going there. If I go back I will be booking Penny because like I said she was great and took really good care of Ms edie

Where do I start. So my baby girl is 4 months old. Pure bred Shih Tzu. Beautiful as ever, brown curly fur, healthy and full of energy. I decided to get her groomed for a fresh look. Expecting nothing but the best from petsmart, I leave her in their care. I gave them information on how my girl is and how she may think this is play time. Thinking she’s in professional hands I trusted they are used to all sorts of energetic puppy’s, so why when I pick her up 4 hrs later this is what she looks like. I’m am pissed! I want my money and my dogs fur back. Terrible job. Thier excuse was she was playing too much. Wouldn’t be still. So they decided to do a terrible job and take my 100$. The proof is here y’all. Don’t take ya baby here.

One of the worst pet stores I’ve been to. They are always short staffed so you will wait 30-45 minutes to get something arbitrary like crickets and have to remind the staff constantly. I will stick to Aquatic Critter whom might charge higher prices but they take care of their customers.

Ms.Jamie is the only groomer Pablo has ever known! He gets excited when we mention her name and even more so when he sees her. She takes pride in her work and is no doubt the nicest, sweetest, most kind person who works there. She genuinely loves Pablo and he senses it. It's always a treat for Pablo to go pick out a few toys after he gets groomed.

I enjoyed looking around the store at all the different kinds of pets and items for pets I might even get an aquarium that had so many different sizes and varieties of interesting things to put in the aquarium's

STAY AWAY FROM THE GROOMING!!! Today I took my sweet 2 year old dog to get a “pawdicure” which consists of nail trim, trim around the paws, and an ear cleaning. $22 I thought it was a steal! Until, I go to pick my dog up. The groomer seemed to be frustrated before she even began working on my dog. I told her before she started that my dog has anxiety and is extremely skittish and that she may attempt jumping off the table. (Like some dogs do) when I picked her up she immediately said “it’s best if you two don’t come back” I’m standing there in shock. Thinking to myself “did she really just say that?!” As I proceed to ask why (kindly) she says my dog tried to fight her the entire time. I have the sweetest dog and I’m not being bias my saying that. The manager even came in at one point during the trim and said the same thing to me after I confronted him! Anyways, I told the worker that we have never had any issues before and everyone adored her and never said anything remotely negative regarding her behavior. She said you may want to go back to them. I spoke with the managers after this experience because it truly rubbed me the wrong way. I have to applaud the managers they were extremely kind and were ashamed by this workers emotions and words. They said they would look into this and I hope they do! This was a terrible experience and we will never be returning I wouldn’t trust that girl with my dog if my last breath depended on it!

I wish I read more reviews before taking my dog to Petsmart grooming. Although the average rating is 4.3, it seems that the vast majority of grooming is 1 star reviews. I took my dog in for a quick face cut, showed the groomer pictures and asked for the snout hair to be kept long. They did the exact opposite of that. All of the snout hair had been trimmed off and her face was cut SO short with clippers, she’s hideous. Additionally the cut looks messy and isn’t done very neatly. I’m so disheartened as face hair takes a while to grow back. Although it’s convenient, please don’t take your dog here unless you don’t care what he/she looks like.

The way they speak to you is awful. They don’t understand how to communicate with people. If I was looking for a new place to get my pet groomed I would stay away from here. If they treat people that way how will they treat your pet

Lots of pet products available here. I came for a pet carrier, dog treats, and potty pads. They had everything I needed. Recommend this store for large selection of pet food and other necessities.

She was racist with me. She was rude when I first time I met her. She yelled at me and I don’t know her name but I will never go here again. They also shaved my dog too much I just asked for a simple clean up. I usually go here often but now I will never go here again. What upset me was that she was very racist because of my weak English. She didn’t want to listen to me and just put on headphones and ignored me awhile I was talking to her. My experience was very bad and I will never be coming here ever again because of the bad service for cutting my dog’s hair.

I took my two labs to have them bathed toenails clipped in ears cleaned. They called and said they were ready. Couldn't cut their toenails. They still smelled high heaven when I got him. I had to use the fragrance on them when I got them home. Now I believe the horror stories about PetSmart grooming

The Petsmart in Hermitage is an absolute blessing! They are so close to home and always have everything I need! The staff is super helpful and always help us with whatever questions we have! :) Tons of fun pet clothes and treats and even carry healthy snacks for everyone including the turtle!

I have taken my puppy to be groomed at this location three times in total. The first two times were fine other than minor inconveniences due to a chaotic environment and unhelpful staff, but this time was a train wreck. I made a 10am appointment online several days in advance, and when I arrived to drop him off they were more concerned with talking to each other about how cute he is than they were with helping me check in. Once I was checked in, I told them exactly what I wanted and left. It was over FIVE hours later when they called to tell me he was ready... 5 hours for a 5lb dog? That seems excessive even with other dogs to care for. When I got back to pick him up I was shocked at the dog I was presented with. His hair was cut much shorter than I anticipated, his whiskers were shaved down to the nub, his coat was choppy and uneven, and his leg was bleeding. I also paid for the premium experience in which he is given cologne and a bandana at the end, neither of which happened. When I walked in, he was struggling to get away from the groomers and back to me, and I was told that the reason he looked bad was because he was "wiggly" and given an offhanded "I'm sorry." This never seemed to be a problem before, and I am sure they are taught how to handle puppies as most puppies are not going to be perfectly still. I am not one to leave elaborate reviews, but I was very displeased and will be finding a new groomer that will not turn my sweet puppy into a sad rat.

PetsMart Grooming provided the specific care and attention to detail that our new rescue dog required. They followed up with us to make sure that we were satisfied with our experience. We have had many positive experiences with our previous dog as well.

Absolutely deplorable.The animals they have at this store are neglected and treated simply as objects. This store I'm particular has a huge selection if sick birds that are so over priced that no one can afford to rescue them. Banfield clinic is a part of their chain, YET do not do small animal care. SO these poor birds, mice and hamsters are left at the mercy of the Un educated and Un caring staff.They have a green checked conure at this very sick, who is attention starved, losing feathers, itchy and $700.00. Instead of lowering the price so a caring home çould rehab him, they leave him on display, begging for customers attention. I left there yesterday with a broken heart. I do not have 700 dollars to give him a good home, I know how his life will end.I have seen these chain stores just throw these poor animals in dumpsters. Someone really needs to regulate these stores and charge them with neglect.There is absolutely no excuse for the way these birds are treated. They have the mental and learning capacity of a 5 year old child. They need attention and handling from experienced people. The staff I have seen in this store act like they could care less that this is a life in a glass box. I don't care about the pewarrantee. A new pet owner should not have to seek out an avian expert after spending 700 bucks on a bird that will most likely die in a few weeks afterpurchase. These birds should not be sold in this condition, they should be healthy apon purchase. But it's all about the money right?I rescued a conure from a cats mouth a few weeks ago. Most likely a private bird mill from the area let I go cause they couldn't get top dollar for it. Her wings were clipped way too short, even the tail feathers were cut so it was defenseless.died in my hand of a punctured lung.the hour with thar sweet baby at least let it know all humans are not cruel.So why are you called Pet smart and have such lack of respect for pets lives from start to finish?Yes, I'm mad! Do better. And If you are reading this and can help that poor Conure, at this location, please let me know before they kill off one more sweet baby.

WOW!!! Quick & efficient!!! Our appointment was at 4:00pm on a Saturday. Upon entry I was thoroughly impressed by how the salon had safety protection glass around all of the grooming stations & front counter!! The groomer took care in confirming the desired cut for my baby & I felt confident leaving him there for the service. I received a call at 5:20pm from the groomer that my baby would be ready in about 20 minutes!!! His cut is PERECT!!! His face, paws & sanitary areas were trimmed so neatly & he’s got a little pep in his step from the fresh cut!!! The staff in the store were also very helpful! I was able to get a new name tag & the self engraving kiosk was so convenient!! This location is much closer to home in Berry Hill so we will definitely return!!! Thank you Petsmart Thompson Lane!!!!

I made an appointment for Bath and Brush service. It didn’t seem like my dog was brushed that much. Especially tail. As you can see from the picture not much for scissoring feet either. Apparently trimming the butt and paws considered as haircut. Took them 3 hours for the services below for a Pomeranian. So if you don’t want to get premium services - don’t even bother! Employees were not super friendly either. I kind of felt like I came to Walmart of groomers. Lesson learned! Will not be back!

Stay away from this place at all cost. This picture speaks for itself, paid $80 for this haircut. I could have given my dog this haircut in 10 minutes at home. The groomers clearly have zero clue what they are doing and need to find a new occupation. I’m disgusted with petsmart.
