Where do I begin...Alpha K-9 Training Center exceeded any expectations I had! I recently got a German Shepard puppy and shortly after I realized I needed help. I called several training facilities but couldn’t get myself to commit to any of them until I called Randy Hare at Alpha K-9. As many of you reading this review, I was apprehensive to drop my dog off for 28 days but immediately after speaking to Randy I knew that this was the best fit for me and my dog Summer. He was beyond knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and you could tell how passionate he was about what he does, and I felt an immediate relief. I had high expectations for my dog summer but what Randy and Lauren achieved in 28 days was beyond anything I could’ve expected. I feel like I got back a completely different dog, and most importantly I walked away with the tools necessary to continue training on my own and a sense of confidence to better communicate with my dog Summer. The saying that “you get what you pay for” couldn’t hold truer than my experience with Randy and Lauren, through this experience my dog Summer has gained invaluable obedience training and the foundation to move forward with more confidence. I cannot thank Randy and Lauren enough for everything they have done, they are so nice and always available to answer any questions. They truly want you and your fur baby to succeed and that carries over in everything they do. Thank you again Randy and Lauren!

I don’t even know how to start this. There are just so many positive things I could say! We adopted a Shepard mix and she was pretty wild! She would pick and choose when she would respond to us. We started looking into various training facilities and found Randy and Lauren with Alpha Canine. Thank you thank you thank you! Kona has gone from a wild lady to a respectable young pup that listens, walks wonderfully and now knows when to chill out! My wife and I at first were a little nervous about the 30 day plan but I will be 100% honest it is absolutely worth it. This 2 week 3 week training that is offered else where just does not compare. I wanted to wait to post and give our pup at least 2 weeks to settle in before I sent up a review. We work with her everyday and she continues to do wonderful! I think the toughest part was for us. Getting trained by Randy and Lauren on getting rid of our bad behaviors and recognizing when Kona was challenging us to see how far she can get away from training! thank you again Alpha we have a real treat in our life with a wonderful foundation now thank to you all! Highly highly recommend it is worth every single penny! 10/10 stars!

I’m not exactly sure where to start but like most of you reading these reviews, I was apprehensive and nervous about a month long training program. I knew my dog would benefit from professional training, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. Instead of one foot in and one foot out, I decided to commit to what I thought would be best for my dog over the course of her life and I couldn’t be happier with my decision, albeit - nervous at first.I don’t believe what Randy and Lauren achieve with these dogs can be done any differently, and for any shorter amount of time - I am beyond happy I did not go with a two week program or for half the cost to save money. Nala wasn’t in dire need of training, but the confidence & competence we now both have to go about our day and routine was worth every penny. Knowing I can provide proper mental stimulation makes me feel better about owning a shepherd in the city when physical stimulation may not always be available. Randy makes sure you understand your role to play with your dog and welcomes additional refreshers, he has checked in numerous times post training and is nice to see the commitment they have to your animals once they leave.The freedom and peace of mind to bring your dog to any environment really elevates your relationship to a new level without any animosity. It also feels good knowing I can bring Nala back for kenneling whenever I need to travel and that she is already well accustomed to the facility and people!

If I could give Alpha Canine a 10 star review I would. I truly can't say enough positive things about Randy and Lauren. After rescuing two large breed dogs off the street a couple years ago, my husband and I realized we were in way over our heads. We tried and tried to teach Daisy and Gracie basic commands ourselves to no avail. At 60 and 65 pounds, Daisy and Gracie caused me an acute ankle fracture as well as injuring several close friends and family members due to their bad behaviors that my husband and I were failing to control. Taking them both to Alpha Canine training was absolutely the best decision we have made. What an absolute quality of life improvement!! Our girls came home to us with a respect to follow our commands and a new skill set. We can finally feel confident taking them on walks at the park down the street as well as allowing them to socialize with other dogs because we can not only control them but manage and mitigate any unwanted behaviors. My only regret is that we didn't have them trained earlier. Daisy and Gracie's quality of life has also drastically improved because they finally understand our expectations and understand commands and corrections that we give them versus the constant yelling and stress of them not knowing what we expect them to do. Randy and Lauren are absolutely wonderful to work with and my husband and I can't thank them enough for working so hard with our girls.

We have a rambuncious bully mix that we adopted from a family member in December 2022. He was 11 mo. & the only command he knew and not that well was sit. Although we were experienced dog owners, we did not have the patience or the time it was going to take to teach him the basics. I also didn't have any experience with the breed or a bigger dog and was uncomfortable with my ability to control him if my husband was not around. It took some effort to convince my husband but after meeting with Randy, hearing his training philosophy and touring the facility he was on board. We dropped our sweet goober off in January 2023 for a month & we couldn't be happier. The progress he made was amazing! He'd never been in a kennel situation before so we were a little apprehensive but Randy kept us informed and after the 2 week visit, I could tell he was happy and had already made so much progress. We learned alot from Randy during our training visits. Even my husband whom I teasingly call Dr. Dolittle ,because of how good he is with animals, learned some very helpful information and techniques. Today our boy is co-existing in our family well and still has his playful personality. His former owner is impressed with his progress as well. He didn't think it was possible. We adopted our dog at 4 months old from a shelter. He is very loving and was getting very big. We did the once a week puppy training and that helped, but by 8 months and so big, he was beyond control. We needed a professional dog trainer. After extensive research, we decided on Randy at Alpha Canine. Was not the cheapest nor the most expensive option, but worth every dollar. We didn't want to pay money for a board and train that was simply staying at someone else's house and hope he would be trained.The facility is extremely clean. Our pup was well cared for. Randy stayed in communication over the 4 weeks including sending videos.More importantly he spent a lot of time with us to teach us how to handle and continue training.He does police dog, drug detection, and service dog training.Our pup is not cut out for that, but we now have a well behaved dog that is a very happy member of the family.I highly recommend Alpha Canine and the expertise of Randy to anyone that loves their pup and wants it well behaved.It's great being able to take our dog on road trips, hiking, to restaurants now.

We had a GREAT experience with Randy and staff. We brought our 5 month old Golden to them who was a cute but wild man and came home a MUCH better dog who listens to commands. Walking was a chore for us and now having him know how to walk properly has been a life saver. They were incredibly accommodating with us and our schedules and I loved the several training sessions they had us do with Macaroni while he was staying there. We actually just boarded him there for a few nights and I was so at ease when our dog ran RIGHT back to Randy and thru the door. You can tell Randy has a giant heart for the animals he trains and I’m so glad we found them to work with our sweet boy.

My husband and I cannot say enough praises for Alpha Canine Training. Our dog was afraid of his own shadow, did not listen to our commands and we felt really defeated trying to do any training. Randy and Lauren have a program that has made such a positive impact on our dog and ourselves as owners. We truly needed just as much training as our dog did and we both cannot believe the impact it’s had. Randy and Lauren are willing to put in as much time as we need into us to learn how to communicate best with our dog. The results are immediate, especially if you continue Randy’s training and recommendations at home. Walks are enjoyable and stress-free, we can take him to outdoor patios, our office and public places. His confidence has soared and each new experience is now curiosity and not fear.Our dog still has his weird quirks and personality, but understands boundaries and communication and knows when it’s time to goof off or not.I spent months mulling over the decision to get a trainer and wish we would have done sooner, but glad my delays lead us to Alpha Canine. Highly recommend if you are looking for a high-quality, no BS trainer who understands how to properly train dogs and owners.

The Alpha Canine team was worth every penny for training my 1-year-old 90lb Bernedoodle! I really struggled with Bohdi pulling and jumping. Having such a large dog, I knew that there was no room for error with some of his behavior - especially jumping around kids or in an office setting. I've also considered training him to be a therapy dog, so his obedience was something I was more than willing to invest in. After training, I have absolutely no issues with him pulling - he'll test me on occasion, but once he sees that I won't allow shenanigans, he's back to properly Heeling. He now will default to Heel even when off the leash (I've included some pictures below). He's learned to love Place, and will stay in Place until I give him permission to leave. He'll also Stay for as long as I tell him to (see the high temptation of a baby with food - two of his obsessions - and he's still Staying).I love that Randy took the time to call me personally and answer all of my questions - even helping me out with a couple of things - before we came into training. I felt confident that I was sending my pup off with someone who knew what they were doing and truly cared about my dog's well-being. Bohdi came home remarkably well-behaved, and we often get compliments when out at restaurants or on walks. I learned quite quickly that while Bohdi was perfectly trained, I was not haha So I love that Randy took the time to do multiple sessions of training with ME to ensure that we had a successful training experience. When I TELL you that your dog knows better... HE KNOWS BETTER. This child would test me by pushing how far he would Heel - always a couple of inches in front or away from me - and I didn't think I needed to correct him because it was close enough. But the SECOND Randy picked up the leash, this dog was perfectly positioned to the MILLIMETER. Bohdi - and your dog as well - will 100% learn the material and will 100% test you to see if you know it as well. If you, the owner, don't keep up their training, then they will take advantage of that. I really appreciate that the Alpha Canine team invested their time and went above and beyond to make sure I went home feeling confident in Bohdi's behavior and my ability to enforce it. At the end of our last day of training together, I wasn't feeling very confident, and Randy noticed and offered to meet again the next day. They even follow up with me post-training to see how we are doing, and I find a lot of security in knowing that if I was having an issue with something, they would help.

We dropped our boy Kane off at Alpha Canine, and it was the best decision ever. Randy and his wife were amazing from the start. Kane came home with manners and direction. We can now enjoy spending quality time with him instead of constant stress and redirection. Randy and his wife truly care about the dogs they train. I think I might have seen 💧 when Kane was leaving. We will definitely be back to visit. Thank you Alpha Canine for all your hard work and making us at part of this experience.

After multiple failed attempts with three different trainers, we were in desperate need of someone who could successfully help us with training our rambunctious, high-energy 8 1/2-month-old wire-haired pointing griffon, Oscar, who had begun to have some behavioral issues. We called Alpha Canine Training Center and spoke with Randy Hare. After speaking with him, we decided to make a quick visit to meet him and see the facility. When we walked through the doors, we were amazed at the cleanliness of the top-notch facility. Randy and Lauren greeted us and were very professional and knowledgeable. Randy discussed in depth how his training worked and why it worked. At that point, we knew he was the right trainer for us.Randy and Lauren love what they do. Oscar stayed for four weeks at the board and train facility. They updated us weekly with videos of his progress, and at two weeks, we came for a short visit and were amazed at the progress they had made with Oscar. After four weeks of training, it was our turn to be trained. Randy spent several hours helping us to ensure we were educated on how to handle Oscar. We can't say enough good things about Randy and Lauren. We are so grateful to have found them. The outcome results of my 3 year old shepherd mix are exceptional and has greatly enhanced our lives together. We have got two one year old doodle puppies. Annie was trained by Randy and his staff. They trained her very well! I went to learn all the commands and to learn what to do once we brought her home. It does take time, effort and money, but it is so worth it when your dog is well behaved!! Randy is now working with Millie. We have boarded Annie there a couple times so he can work with both of them together! We are excited to get Millie home next week and see what all she has learned!

Took our puppy Penny to Randy and his team. Penny is a mountain cur mix with a lot of energy and drive. We tried doing one of those group training classes before with no luck so wanted to give the board and train an option.When our dog returned it was like night and day. Our dog is now great on leash and no longer pulls. More importantly, Randy worked with us and taught us how to manage our dog. We walked through the doors of Alpha Canine a little apprehensive, uncertain, and a bit scarred by experience with other “trainers.” Any dog owner can tell you that choosing a trainer is a tough call. Within minutes, the professionalism, experience, and empathy of Randy and his team was apparent. Over the weeks apart, we received regular updates of our dog’s progress, along with photos that further assured us we’d made the right choice. At the close of his training, Randy took the time to work with us - educating, demonstrating, and always doing so with a smile and laugh. Randy personally trained my German Shepherd Emma. She had many behavioral problems and Randy worked with me one on one with our dog to overcome the bad habits. He has also done follow up sessions with me when requested. I can now walk my dog around the neighborhood. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have found help with my smart German Shepherd. I got a 4yr old german shepherd who was a retired military working dog, she had been left in a kennel environment for a year without doing much other then let out to potty and back in due to Covid. She had changed hands multiple times when I got her and had no idea what basic obedience was in a home or what I was asking of her. She didn’t trust me or my spouse and didn’t want to listen to us at all. I contacted Randy with alpha K9 to get his help. From the first day that we all met I knew Randy was the right fit he was able to assess her behaviors quickly and had such a positive touch with her. When we dropped her off to “school” as I called it I was nervous to leave my fur baby but I knew this training would pay off at the end. Randy also made this process easier for me by sending me videos of her while in school and was happy to talk when I would call to check in on her and how she was doing. When Kira graduated from school Randy and his team worked with my spouse and I to get us the training we needed to be successful with Kira. We are so thankful for all that alpha k9 has done. We now have a dog that listens and understands what we are asking of her. She comes when called, heals, sits, stays, doesn’t jump and so much more. Alpha K9 was definitely the best choice in training for Kira and our family. We will always recommend Randy for canine training of any sort. We will continue to use his services in the future for more advanced training with kira, and will use his services for any other dogs that come into our family.

We have had many dogs over the years, but Buster, our young Beauceron proved to be too much of a challenge for us! Alpha k9 Nashville was the best thing that ever happened to us as dog owners and for Buster. He came through the training experience as a more mature and certainly better mannered dog. We are very pleased with the level of training that our dog, Zeke has received with Randy and Lauren. It was very obvious that they truly cared about him. He is a larger dog and had to have special modifications with the boxes that they use for training. They went out of their way to build a special size for him so that he would feel more comfortable. As a new dog Mom, I was a nervous wreck dealing with my 6 month old Pit Bull puppy as she was super energetic, disobedient and didn’t know common commands, making every task impossible to complete without a hassle or headache. It took a lot of reassurance from a trusted, previous client that helped me decide I did need some type of training for my canine. The process was difficult for me at first missing my new best friend, but BOY were the results outstanding. The studio always updated me on the progress Siete was making, making it easier for me to continue on with daily priorities. Great training for both of our dogs now obedient in only a couple of weeks. Amazing results even with different age dogs. Teaching them to walk together is next level. We have all the tools to continue their training at home and on our family hikes.I want to add more to my testimonial. It’s amazing how life works. Hudson (our older dog) would have never stopped on command before he went through dog training school with Alpha Canine.I took him with me to take Bowie (our pup) and I never thought about enrolling Hudson because he’s four years old and such a good dog. The trainers convinced me to train him to not jump up on people or tow us pulling on his leash.I figured he could keep Bowie company so I left him. Last night a Coyote showed up in our yard and Hudson took off after him. When I yelled “no” he stopped in his tracks. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but this old dog learned something new. And so did Hudson 😁

A few months ago I sent my high energy, crazy wild GSD Koda to Randy & Team and I wanted to share my experience. I adopted Koda when he was already a year old so he had some not so wonderful habits.I live in Texas and worked with Randy to have Koda trained in the Nashville facility. The communication, progress videos and follow up answers to my many questions make Alpha K9 stand out. It’s clear they care about every family and want not only the dogs to be successful in their training but the owners as well. I joke that we were both trained because Randy had to tell me how to change my habits to bring out the best in Koda 🤣.What was once a battle to walk and take him places is now fun (and I do like to show off his training when we are out). I have had people comment on how well behaved he is when we are in places like Petco while their dogs are going crazy. The peace of mind it gives me to know I can take him places and have people over is everything to me.I did not realize how much I appreciated the training Koda received until the first few times I needed to depend on it and it worked! For example; when the internet tech came to my house and the place command worked perfectly or when my 4 yr old grandson left the front door open and we had to use the recall command.Anyone reading the reviews to make a decision on where they will send their dog, search no more. Randy trained our mini aussiedoodle Nash on site for a month. We were extremely happy with the results. Nash is obedient and easy to take anywhere while feeling confident he can behave. Randy has also been a continued resource in helping us become great fur- baby parents. Nash loves Randy and the staff at Alpha K9. We use Alpha K9 for boarding so Nash can freshen up on obedient classes and hang with the great folks at facility. My husband and I are grateful to Randy for all the guidance.

I can't say enough great things about Alpha K-9. The love, understanding, and care Randy and his crew have for the dogs he works with is unmatched. The confidence he has given my rescue German Shepherd was a game-changer. I thought I wanted some basic obedience, my dog came away with so much more that I can build upon because we have a true understanding of each other now. Wish I'd met him years ago.
