The website says the store is open until 8pm, but clearly that is not true. I arrived at 7:53pm and the door was already locked. 3 employees were standing near the door and saw me walk up to it, yet did nothing. I needed ONE item. I would have been in and out well before 8pm as I am respectful and understanding of employees wanting to go home. However, locking the door Before the advertised closing time is super frustrating!!

Manager Paige at the Murfreesboro, TN location the evening of 01/23/2024: she was very helpful!! I had Several questions about our new pet gecko. She was very informative and very patient with all the questions I had. She never rushed me, made me feel like a valued person. She was able to answer my 5,000 questions to insure we were doing the right thing for our new gecko. Thanks Paige for she is a true asset to your company. It really made our experience enjoyable and was so glad got the answers needed. Walked away very satisfied.

So I took my lovely lady Ostara (K-9) there for her very first Spa Day. From the moment she walked in, she was treated like royalty.2 hours later, I was personally contacted that she was ready for pick-up at my convenience. The staff was incredible to her and she looked amazing.Highly recommend this staff for any of your pet's needs. We look forward to our next visit.

I took my Goldendoodle in to be groomed, because her regular groomer was booked. she needed to be groomed. When I got her back she has hair that is longer than the rest of her. they didn’t trim her muzzle or her beard. they left the hair on her paws long. the hair behind her ear is matted and I asked for it to all be cut off. I’m pretty sure she did not receive a bath nor were her nails cut. very disappointed paying $100. these pictures do not even give this justice.

They have cookies at the front of the store at checkout for your pets. I gave my dog the bigger flower one (she’s had it before and was fine) and it made her sick. I don’t know if she has salmonella or what, but this isn’t normal for her. Do not buy these!

Come to Petco instead of PetSmart! They are extremly rude and snarky at PetSmart but everybody at Petco is so kind! I bought a fish from here and the next day I was walking around the avenue and the person who got him out for me waved through the window :) (BTW, that fish is still alive and thriving 2 months later.) We have gotten our dogs groomed here twice and they stayed smelling good for a month! Both of our dogs are seniors and they have never gotten injured or looked like they were in pain coming back to us. Petco is the place to go. (I didn’t get those ferrets but I thought they would be cute to add haha)

We take our Aussiedoodle to get groomed here. Jenn S is the best! She always takes the time to send pictures or call to make sure we like his cut and, she takes great care of our Manning! Highly recommend!

I just love pet stores, and this one has such a wonderful array of creatures!! I absolutely fell IN LOVE with the leopard geckos and don't get me started on the BLUE LOBSTER!!!! He's soooo cute and clumsy!!! Lol 😅🤭💕

I am compelled to share an incredibly disheartening experience we recently had at Petco #1550 in Nashville, TN. As long-time, loyal customers, we have always trusted Petco with the grooming care of our 17-year-old poodle mix, Winslow.However, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, we were shocked and devastated to be turned away for Winslow's grooming appointment, despite receiving a confirmation call from the store just before arriving. The reason? Winslow's known heart murmur. What makes this particularly upsetting is that the same store had identified and noted this condition in previous visits, successfully grooming Winslow without issue.The lack of consideration, care, and concern displayed by the store, especially by the store manager, Dylan, was appalling. As loyal customers who travel an hour from Manchester, TN, we expected better treatment. Our loyalty was founded on the belief that our pets would be cared for with professionalism and empathy.Adding to our frustration is the timing of this incident. With the holiday season approaching, finding an alternative groomer with availability has proven to be a significant challenge. Grooming services at other establishments are booked well into December, leaving us scrambling to ensure our pet's hygiene and appearance.While policies may change, the lack of flexibility or accommodation in our case was deeply disappointing. Even when we inquired about signing a waiver, given Winslow's long history with the store, we were met with a dismissive response.If I could give zero stars, I would. This experience has shattered our confidence in Petco. As someone with multiple pets, I had consistently chosen Petco over competitors for the level of care and service I expected. Unfortunately, this recent incident has made it clear that customer loyalty is not valued or reciprocated.Consider this review a cautionary tale. Think twice before entrusting your pets to Petco's care. There are establishments that prioritize customer loyalty and satisfaction over arbitrary policies.

I ran into here needing cat food in a pinch and browsed by the fish tanks. It was utterly sad how uncared for some of those tanks were. I know a lot of pet stores keep betas in those little containers but I’ve never seen the water cloudy white and half of them dead. The saltwater fish were completely being over air-rated and their tanks were tinted green all over because of the algae growth. The freshwater fish were the worst with some of the tanks having a THICK blanket of algae over the bottom and generally unkept with quite a few dead fish which destroys the water conditions. I know they are fish but they are still animals and as a tank owner myself it hurt to see the lack of care and compassion for the fish. I would have left and not given my money to Petco if I hadn’t needed it that night. The young lady who checked me out was very nice but I will not be shopping at petco any further.

Our groomer Madison knows her craft well! She’s very kind and genuine about doing her best and it shows with the results for our two little toys! Keep up the good work! Good groomers since we moved here have been hard to find! We’re glad to have Maddie ( so are the poodles! 😁).

Drove over 60 miles for a dog ball they said was in stock on the internet, not to be found by any employees. They said it happens often and where sorry.No gift for my daughters 🐕.Guess I'll stick to doing more shopping at Amazon or Walmart on line.

I had my standard poodles washed there this week.(I cut them myself) When asked the price for a bath n brush I was quoted $41ea but after was billed and extra $4.99ea for materials fee. What is that & why wasn't I told of this fee when I asked beforehand? And your workers didn't understand the billing either. 2weeks later: We took our poodles again for a bath n brush and a groomer tried to charge us an extra $14 for a brush out. (Read service contract b4 signing) when I asked why she quickly removed it. Not cool.

This was my first visit to this particular Petco and it did not disappoint. We took our newest pup Mipsy here so she could pick out a new bed and toys and maybe a few treats. She as well as my wife and I, absolutely loved the huge selection of pet goods. All the employees were extremely nice and helpful. We will be visiting Petco a lot more often now. Thanks for giving our new baby her first great experience at a pet store!

Did a walk in to get my dog's nails done. Grooming greeter (and I'm sorry I can't remember her name now) was excellent in processing us in. She was then the one to do the nail trimming. She was so patient with our dog and so caring, talking to her and petting her. While she was doing that, we watched several other dogs getting groomed. Each of the groomers were also so very caring with their dogs. One groomer after finishing, got down and hugged her dog's neck and gave her a kiss. I loved the place for the short time we were there. Will certainly be our pet store of choice now.

The people here are incredibly kind and helpful. Paula is the best! She is very knowledgeable about cats especially, and answered all the questions I had. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep the cat I initially adopted through Petco, and when I took the cat back in I was absolutely heartbroken and kept crying, I was so upset over having to part with her. Paula was wonderful in comforting me and offering suggestions if I wanted to adopt a cat again in the future. She even hugged me and comforted me when I got so upset. She basically went above and beyond, so I hope this company understands how lucky they are to have an employee who is not only knowledgeable and good at her job, but also incredibly compassionate and empathetic.

Goldfish section wasn't the greatest and I saved one fancy goldfish after it had been stuck to the filter for who knows how long. I've had him 2 weeks and he's doing a whole lot better than when in their horrid tank. Both times I've been there the Fantail goldfish tank has fish stuck to the filter intake. They all need to step it up cuz I've already started going back to Petsmart where the fish look 10x better and a bigger selection to choose from and honestly better prices... Sry Petco 👎🏻👎🏻 from me...
